Room for small dogs
Use this to keep my elderly blind dog safe at home during my work shift. Plenty of room for their bed and water/food dish. Though the bottom piece is waterproof, I still put down incontinance pads in the bottom of the pen since they catch messes and can be replaced easily.

Travel playpen is durable, and is great for kittens.
I love this. I ordered the Portable Travel Playpen by AmazonBasics for multiple litters of kittens, that my girls had, last year. The primary litter was approaching one month old, and the secondary litter was about a week old. Kittens don't do much within the first month after birth. Their eyes open in 7-10 days after birth. They crawl on their bellies for about the first two to two and a half weeks. From three to four weeks of age, their mobility improves but generally they have basic and limited motor skills. It is in the second month of age that they become more agile, and can run, jump, climb, and pounce. (Although if there are older cats in the house, the litter can be more developmentally advanced. I had one litter of kittens that were jumping, climbing, running, and pouncing, at one month of age.) The kittens in the primary litter were fast-approaching that rambunctious stage that cute baby cats are famous for. My cats are indoor-outdoor, and they love being outside. I believe in letting cats explore and enjoy nature, since it is instinct for them to want to be outdoors. I wanted my girls, and their litters, to be able to enjoy the warm weather, and sounds of the season, but I also didn't want to expose them to any danger. Even though the yard is fenced in, kittens can still get very hurt, because they tend to wander. Much like human babies, they want to taste everything, even if it is potentially poisonous. I wanted for the kittens to be able to explore safely, under supervision of course, and not worry about them falling down a drain, or eating out of garbage cans, or crawling under a fence, never to be seen again. A travel playpen is the perfect solution. The AmazonBasics portable playpen is great. Although it is made for small dogs, it works great for kittens. It opens (and closes) very easily. It comes with a nice travel bag. It is very easy to clean. Just wipe with a damp rag, or hose off and let dry. Both the bottom and top flaps unzip. It is made of quality material and isn't flimsy. It is a very good size; and, is a great size for kittens, and small cats. I had as many as nine kittens (between one and two months of age) in the playpen at once. I even let mama cat stay with her litter to nurse periodically. Both of my girls are petite, and at that time weighing about five to six pounds. So, one six pound cat and four or five babies, can fit into it comfortably. The older, much bigger boys, even liked it. I had a kitten sized litter box (XS) in it at times because the kittens were learning to use it. I also had a few toys in it for them. So as not to make it crowded, I would rotate the litters of kittens inside of the playpen. I would put them all in it, and then take one or a few out at a time, and let them explore, while the others stayed inside of the playpen. I covered the bottom with an old towel, but as mentioned, it wipes clean very easily. It is very durable. It is very sturdy. It was able to support the weight of kittens climbing, and jumping, on top of it (see photos) while the others were inside playing. It held up well against kittens biting, scratching, climbing, pouncing, and jumping on it. I have added in a few photos of it in which the older cats are close-by, to provide a better visual of the playpen's overall size. This is an awesome playpen, and I highly recommend it. I am very happy with my purchase, and I would definitely purchase this again.

Bigger than I thought but nice
I have a 4 month old min pin who needed a 'I'm a big boy now latrine' upgrade from his previous 24" potty. He feels like a King of the toys for sure now. I have disposable puppy pads in there now but have reusable ones coming soon because as I figured they slid and slip very easily as for leisure use for a 'playpen' it has two openings on either side also big enough for two or three small dog big enough for a couple pitbulls easy set up right out of the box great carrying case. Very airy my hospital bed is raised up as high as it goes so the pen is tall about to my knees, the material seems durable easy to clean I just got it so if anything changes I will update.

Perfect for my mama cat and 4 kittens 2 weeks old. It will be big enough for a small litter box.

Perfect! shipped assembled!
It came ready to unfold, no assembling needed; it is just the right size for my cat's post surgery, there's enough room for small bed and litter box as well as her water/food dish. The mesh material is very sturdy allowing air flow and confinement, zippers for door and canopy top are strong with double feature to securely lock with a Carabiner Shape key ring (you need to purchase). I'm very happy and she will have plenty of room to rest and recover quietly.

Our cats love it
The product is well made and sturdy. The cloth is heavy duty and appears to be waterproof or resistant. The zippers are of a large size that I suspect will last for a long time and the cloth netting has resisted our cat's nails and teeth so far. Set up is easy as it unfolds like a book and folds up the same way. Inside we open up the top and the two doors. They like to fly through it and also jump into to it from the top. The other thing they will do is attack a cat that is inside by pouncing on the side and collapsing the wall onto them then pops back open. Great fun. We usually throw in a blanket, a bed and some toys. Tricks I found to closing it back up are as follows: Close up the doors and locate the loop that wraps around the pen for storage and then start folding the sections one at a time from there while tucking the top and bottom into the middle as you go so as not the build up a "bump" of material that would make it difficult to slip back into the pouch.

Sturdy, roomy, just a few things to be aware of
This playpen (in addition to others) has really been put through its paces, whilst socialising 4 feral kittens. They've bounced around it, hung from the ceiling, and generally are testing it to its fullest. So far it's survived three weeks' hard use. It's roomy enough for them to have toys in there to play with, and to run around, and is easily washable. I don't know how we'd have coped with the kitties without this. Just a couple of things: firstly, we had to get little clips to keep the zips in the doors closed, because the kittens managed to start separating the zips and therefore opening the doors. Secondly, the first time around, the kittens managed to get the floor zip open! To be fair, it's a pretty sturdy zip, but these kitties were determined; however, since we'd fixed it and re-covered with blankets, they have left it alone. Finally, and I understand the reason for the velcro strips on the inside to help keep the doors open, they have chewed the velcro to bits. Since we don't really use this function, it's more that you end up with stringy bits that you need to keep cutting off. I guess the other thing is that being grey, it is quite dark inside. (This is pretty important if, like me, you're obsessed with taking photos of your beloved pets inside!) The kittens do prefer our lighter pens - although it was good at the beginning, as we had hiding areas in the darker area for them when they were scared.

Great pen for kitten
We got a kitten and wanted to keep her in the pen at night for the first week for her to be safe and this worked perfectly. We were able to place her bed, a scratching post and litter box. You can unzip the top and remove the top completely, which allowed us to easily place things in. Our kitten's scratched the pen a lot but it's still doing great after a month. She always climbs the top when the top is closed and just sits there and the pen still stands so it's quite strong but she's 1.3kg so i'm not sure how it'll do when she grows. Couldn't have asked for a better pen, we've kept it up even though we dont zip her in there anymore, it acts as a great way for her to run around, run through it and jump on top.

Good for kittens
A nice little pet play pen. It’s one of thous pop out ones and it was easy to unfold and fold back up. It came with pegs to peg it down on grass and the pen itself is water proof against accidents. The top and bottom come unzipped and it comes with a decent carry case and a few pockets on the play pen. The top is half shaded to help in sunlight and the mesh is ok. We’ve been useing this for our new kittens as we needed some way to contain them for when we used the bathroom witch was their bedroom and at first their safe room. Don’t even attempted to shower with kittens in the loose it will not end well. We’ve also used this on our side drive during a recent heatwave to help keep them cool as well as allowing me to keep the kitchen side door open when I cook. They really got on well with it and the pen allowed good air flow. This was great for our two small kittens but for a full sized adult cat I would use this o it as a means to contain your cat if you need to put them somewhere safe for a few hours and placing them in a cat carrier isn’t good for a few hours. Also good for letting indoor cats experience the outdoors sadly for a while as you do house chores etc.

Big enough
I bought this after our cat had surgery and wasn't supposed to jump, so we had to restrict his movement in some way and sleeping in the spare room with him wasn't practical. It's big enough for a bed, food and water bowls and a litter tray, with space left over. He spent one night in it, during which he somehow managed to half climb out of his medical bodysuit, flip the water bowl over and was found huddled by his bed in the morning. But that wasn't the fault of the playpen. It did its job very well, but leaving him unsupervised in it downstairs was my bad. After that I decided he was actually safer having access to the house, but blocked off rooms where he was more likely to find things to jump up on. I also got it so that it's a space where he could hang out in the garden in the summer (he likes to keep me company), in case he shouldn't be allowed to roam on his own due to ongoing medical issues. We'll see if he's okay with that. It provides shade. The folding to fit it back in its carry case was quite faffy and I'm not sure I did it right (there were no instructions included), but I did manage to fit it back inside in the end.

Alternative to whelping box for small dogs
We’ve used this for two months now for puppies from birth. We have dachshunds so this is a great size. Mum was very happy with newborns in here with a heated mat in the bottom. And a camera to view from above which works through the mesh. Obviously it doesn’t have the shelf edges an ordinary whelping box would have to avoid pups being squashed. But sides move as material so they give way. Pups are now in here just at night and still very happy. It’s easy to clean. It isn’t waterproof entirely so put something underneath. Not sure how long it would last if pups were allowed to chew it! Ours only sleep here now but this has been great instead of an expensive whelping box. Will keep for my older dog to hide away in too if it’s not destroyed by then!!
