Negative 5 stars if possible, broke in 2.5 minutes
I got them out of the box, put the rubber base on and slipped them under my bed posts as recommended. I sat on the bed and BOOM! the two at the foot of my bed SHATTERED with just me on the bed (I am only 5'2"!!!) I bet all 4 would have exploded under the weight of me AND my 6' tall boyfriend. These are promoted to help elderly people be able to get in and out of chairs, beds, etc. OMG, I cannot imagine the potential injury to someone who actually needs these due to arthritis or a hip replacement; we bought them just to have extra room under the bed. Overall these feel cheap: · They are hollow, so of course furniture will bust right through the top, it is only 1/8" thick! · The wells to hold the feet of furniture look deep in picture but are VERY shallow (easy to shift out if they don't break first) · You only get 4 rubber rings to put on bottom edge to protect floor, but you get 8 lifts. I bought them to use on our couch and bed, but I couldn't use both sets due to only 4 floor protectors · They smell horrible out of the box THANK GOODNESS Amazon has such a painless return policy. PLEASE AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! They can potentially hurt you or your grandparents. They are not worth $25, not worth 25 cents!

Read the Product Dimensions Carefully - These are not all the same!
BE SURE to read the dimensions for these risers carefully! I assumed that there were 8 of the same height. My mom's sofa has seven feet (weird, I know, but that's what it is), so when I discovered that there were 4 of one height (3")and 4 of another (4"), I realized I would have to order a second set to get what I needed to raise that one piece of furniture! These are plastic cones that were overpriced to begin with, but that would have brought the total up to almost $100 for plastic feet to raise my mom's sofa just 3 or 4 inches! The choice was clear: back they went.

They can slide on the carpet
The chair risers are advertised as "nonskid" but they can slide on carpet. Bought these for my elderly father who had hip surgery. His chair is in the middle of the room and when he sat down or stood up the chair slid. He uses a walker so it is dangerous for the furniture to move. Also, I did not think the depression at the top of the cone is as deep as it was described. Probably if the chair backed up to a wall or you don't need a walker they would be OK. Even though I had used them the Stander Company said to return them. I bought them through Amazon and the return process was very easy through Amazon.

Purchased for parents
I bought a box of eight, med and large, for my mother-in-law as she is having a difficult time getting up off the sofas and chairs. We placed them under both the loveseat and sofa. She called to say how much she is enjoying not having to think twice about where she will sit since she can now easily get up and off of the sofa. She absolutely loves it and wants to order more for her leisure chairs as well. Keep in mind, these do not slide like sliders.

Not enough for a couch
works well but couch requires TWO sets as it has eight legs and these are two sets of four ea at different heights. Easy to use and very stable.

Furniture risers
The furniture riser were a real back saver after my husband had heart surgery and slept on the day bed in the living room for 8 weeks. Raising the day bed made it possible for him to get out of bed with just a little help at first, then by himself sooner than expected. The risers are sturdy and easy to put in place.
