Very nice! Improved clumping!
So, my regular litter was going to take a week to arrive, and was twice as much. So after reading reviews I decided to get this (available the next day!) to extend what I had until I could get my natural corn cob litter. I think I will be adding this to my other litter regularly now. It really improves the clumping when mixed with arm & hammer naturals! I still like that litter though, and my cat is used to it. No smell, not much tracking, and no clay to cause allergies and cancer. This is a great litter!

works well
We have 6 cats and one is a bit needy and shy and doesn't like leaving our bed/bathroom to join the others - so we set up a litter box for him in the bathroom. We didn't want to use clay litter and went with this as it is flushable and makes clean up so much easier. He did use it right away, it clumps super hard and makes a bit of a mess when he gets it on the tile floor. The smell is weird, not litter box like, not super bad but not great either. I am quite happy with it, plus it lasts for a long time.

Great absorbency, but dusty
This litter is one of the best I've tried when it comes to absorbency and how long it lasts. However, it is a very powdery litter, so our cats kicked a lot of it out of the litterboxes while they were digging. It also generates quite a bit of dust when cleaning the litterboxes. If they can make it less dusty, it would be the perfect litter.

Pricey but works!
Like everyone else’s comments, this liter does work. With two cats (2 bags) I can squeeze out a month of liter. Just wish we could get more liter in bag than what is being offered as this is not cheap liter. We like the sustainability of it and I feel good knowing my cats are not exposed to any toxins or breathing in things they shouldn’t be.

Finally a litter that works for my cat
My female cat's urine does not clump with ANY litter, it literally falls apart when trying to scoop it out which leaves a heavy ammonia smell in the litter box. She's 4 years old and it has always been that way. At first I thought it was the litter, so I tried all kinds, but after testing with water I realized it wasn't the litter but my feline. I went on multiple blogs and found people with the same issue. Someone mentioned this brand of litter and I thought, what do I have to lose. The price is reasonable. Holy cow, FINALLY I have a litter that will clump her urine and not fall apart when I scoop it. AND it's natural and safe for the environment. Love it, thank you. I'll be purchasing from now on.

Price doubled In last month
the 10 lb bag was $10 a month ago, i go to order again and it has DOUBLED in price. Listed at $23 now… The litter is great itself, i’ve been able to use this affordable healthy product for my cats, and finding great comfort in that—- and the fact I was able to do that. But at this price now, i am no longer in this position where i can no longer continue to remain a customer.

Almost as good as the brand we normally use.
Our regular brand of corn litter (sustainably yours) was out of stock so we decided to try this as a replacement. It is very similar but Almo Nature doesn’t clump as hard and has a stronger corn smell. Still preferable to any clay litter! I will never use clay litter again. This kind of litter is so much better! Almo Natural lasts much longer and doesn’t stick to my cats fur or leave an odor.

THE Best Litter Ever!
8 months ago, we adopted a wonderful 11 year old cat. Our problems started early on, when we realised he was having "accidents". We went to work immediately with vet visits & resolved a urine infection. However, we still had a problem...... We resorted to using puppy pads, changed to "open" litter boxes, increased the number of litter boxes, but with only limited success. We realised that there was more than likely a psychological issue at work, so trawled the internet. Having considered buying sand (as used in play pits), we continued searching. A post written by a cat specialist, mentioned Almo Cat Litter, which she apparently recommends to all cat guardians who are facing toileting issues. Having located a source ie Amazon, with immediate delivery, we changed 2 trays initially (following the guidelines given). Finally, we had success! With 4 cat trays now active with Almo cat litter, we have only had 2 "accidents since changing. The litter is AMAZING! 1. NO odour (we scoop to clean as soon as we notice the tray/s have been used) 2. Following guidelines, we wait a few minutes after a cat has used the tray - then scoop. No urine marks remain on the base of the tray & it does not stick (It is important to follow the guidelines) 3. Following the guidelines, we "top up", but the newest cat prefers that to be completed twice a week, rather than the once which is mentioned!! We like to keep him happy :-) 4. There is no need to throw remaining cat litter away as it remains fresh/odour-free 5. Although the litter may initially seem expensive, if used as recommended, it really is turning out to be very economical 6. Storage space requires for spare litter, is a fraction of that which we needed for our previous litter 7. Small bags, but maximum results - we are all VERY impressed - 2 felines included!!! We found it is worth visiting Almo Cat Litter's website - it has a lot of useful information, should you feel unsure about buying. Would we recommend this litter - most definely YES!! Little waste, green credentials & loved by both cats - we could not ask for more.

Doesn't turn into a stinking tray of litter!!
I am now adding April 2020 that since writing the review below, the texture of the litter has changed to a finer grain and when removing clumps I get puffs of dust rising up. So I am going to look on line for a less fine texture but still a vegetable husk product as it really is preferable to the grey clay type of litter. If the Almo nature hadn't been changed to this finer texture I would remain delighted. Shame So I have 4 cats and 4 trays in total dotted about. I used a clay clumping brand which after 2 weeks despite removing lumps am and pm it would become smelly. I continued with it and just made sure I changed the litter entirely after 3-4wks. Now this stuff stays clean and smell free. I remove the lumps and it is lightweight and easy to remove and lift. Not heavy and stubborn like the clay clumping previously used. The instructions say you have to remove the litter, set aside and clean the tray and then put back and top up. I thought that eventually the litter would smell contaminated and would have to be thrown and only new put into the tray. Not so. I am able to do as the instructions say and its clean smelling. I will never go back to the clay stuff again. In terms of disposal I do put poops and pee lumps down the loo and all flushes away. Regarding tracking as I have read other reviews, I have got around this by buying a rubber mat on Amazon especially to reduce the tracking so that when they step out the mat collects the litter on their paws.. would give 10 out of 10 for this product and highly recommend.

Good idea, but too fine and TRACKS EVERYWHERE!
I bought my first sack on 6 June 2017, so I have been using it about a month as I write this review. In that period, I have gone through 3 sacks (about £30 worth of litter), so it does not seem to last as long as claimed. I have two cats sharing one large pan (about 16" X 20") and I followed the instructions carefully, keeping the depth to about 2 cms/1". On the plus side, 1) it clumps really well and the lumps of wee are very easy to sift & remove the wee lumps and poos. 2) it is very good at odour control 3) it is not dusty, which I found to be a major drawback with World's Best, which I used before. 4) it is flushable and compostable, although I can't vouch for either as I dare not put it down London's Victorian pipes and I would not want cat waste in my home compost due to the ammonia & smell (and I grow food!). On the con side 1) it tracks EVERYWHERE. Because it is very fine (it looks for all the world like semolina), it seems to stick to my cats feet and get in between their toes. I thought maybe it was the litter mat I was using, so I bought a new litter mat, but no improvement. Within a day of starting it, I was finding this litter all over the house, so it requires constant vacuuming and sweeping up after. 2) It doesn't last as long as is claimed and so ends up being expensive to use, in my experience. My cats like it and took to it immediately, but I just can't cope with finding cat litter everywhere. Perhaps if it was somewhat larger granules it wouldn't track so much. I read another review where a user complained of tracking and Almo blamed the user, saying it was laid at too great a depth. I was diligent not to overfill the pan, but it still ended up everywhere. Sadly, a disappointed user. Off in search of a new litter.

Don’t waste your money!!!
Awful product I had high hopes for this, I have five cats and they’re very picky, they’d give this a 0 star!! The sand tracks all around the house, so foot prints galore, it’s exoensice, yes it clumps well but it also sticks to the tray floor like glue, it has a gelatine type effect in it. It didn’t smell at first but noticed when my cats were coming for cuddles they smelt like the cat litter tray, realky stinky!! Their paws where they were digging stank! Awful, this is literally THE worst litter I’ve tried, there are no positives at all. I thought due to it being soft in paws I’d continue to give it a go, the amount of litter on carpets tracked it unreal, I have a special Matt for the cats and it’s still managing to be tracked around the house. It’s truly awful!

THE best litter
I tried so many different brands before I settled with this one because not only is it completely biodegradable, it has the consistency of sand which cats love. They took to it immediately (I didn't even have a chance to move the litter tray into position before one of them hopped in and did a wee). The clumps are very tight and any flakes easy to get rid of. I use a wire chip basket which has perfect sized holes for the job daily, and then a terraium scoop for the end of week clean. It's so economical because almost all the sand can stay in there. The smell of wee is non existent. I use a large under-bed storage box as a litter tray and get through about one 4.4l bag a month with two cats (I know, not supposed to share but these two seem to prefer it). With the availability not being great lately, I'm reluctantly looking around for other brands should the worst happen and this is discontinued. I will buy it as long as it's available at the previous price of around £14-£16 a bag. It would be a real blow if we couldn't use this anymore.
