Parts Storage Cabinet-used for Cross Stitch Floss

I am very pleased with my purchase. I have purchased 7 of these storage cabinets and stack them up 3 high. I use them for my Cross Stitch Floss and they work great. The little drawers are made of plastic and are sturdy. They slide fine and hold quite a bit of floss. The little drawers could be a bit longer so my floss could lay flat and not crunched a little. The little drawers have the stops on the back of the drawer to keep them from completely falling out if you tip the cabinet forward. You are still going to have a mess to clean up but the drawers will still be in the cabinet. There are screw holes on the back to screw it to the wall which will really help. All in all, for the price, they work great for storing my floss.

Great organizer for parts

I've had this for about 6 months now, I really like these bins as they are not the breakable hard plastic that the cheaper models have. They do cost some money, however you get what you pay for. Pay a little bit extra for a quality part, its worth it in the long run.

Good product, insane price increase

Sturdy, super-convenient, somewhat modern-lkg, a zillion uses.

Well, I removed the entire thing from the box, and immediately dropped it onto the hard floor. Not a chip, scuff, or mark on it. Each drawer is very thick, hard plastic. I MIGHT would rather have each drawer sort of "lock" into place when closed, but there's really no need for that if it's sitting on a flat surface. I love it. I may get one more, and I'd be fairly sure that I have room to put ALL of my little parts, bolts, rubber bands, cat toys, washers, paper clips, you name it... (* One idea to get WITH this is a pack or two of those cheap, small, round, colored stickers. You could also get & use small white labels, to mark what's inside each drawer, with a Sharpie pen, but the the round colored stickers help even more, by denoting "categories." Red stickers could be for screws, blue for bolts, yellow for rubber bands, etc., green for stamps, etc., etc..) Also, maybe not a "beautiful" thing, to put in the den or on your bedroom dresser, but I do think it looks a little better than the older ones, that were so "blocky" and "hardware("y")- looking. This one has a little more rounded corners, a little darker drawers, just overall a tiny bit more modern-looking. You wouldn't mind it in say, a sewing or laundry room - for buttons, sewing needles, that kind of thing, or in a large walk-in closet, also for buttons, or small toiletries like nail clippers, shaver attachments, things like that. Would be good for cat toys (they like to have them changed-up), or for a million different uses. *Warning: ANY child who has a way to get to this can EASILY open each drawer, with no problem. When I was a child, EVERY drawer would have been opened, "inspected," and the most dangerous things (sewing needles? lighters? etc.) would have been what I "borrowed," and played with. My solution to that would be putting those items in a perimeter-drawer, then using a thin strip of gorilla tape to firmly tape the drawer to the container, itself. You'll need to pull half the strip of tape open each time, then reattach afterward, but Gorilla tape is sticky enough to withstand about 100+ times of doing that, without losing it's grip. Fold one end of the tape under, "onto itself," so you'll have a little "unsticky" end to pull on, to open those drawers. Gor. tape is SO strong, little tiny ones would have trouble pulling it off to get into a "locked" drawer. I still, with a small child (or cat) wouldn't put pills or meds in it, that aren't in a container. Way up on top, and at back of a refrigerator, it might be out of small children's reach, and even vision. Speaking of cats, you may want to put some objects on top of this container, or even rolled-over pieces of Gorilla tape, spaced about 6" apart, on top, to deter cats from seeing it as a "new place" to lay. The only reason that this wouldn't be good is because an adult cat COULD knock it over when jumping onto it, causing every drawer to open and spill...unless it fell backwards. But you KNOW that it's going to fall forward, because that's just how things happen.

Ok product overall, terrible QC

The product is in the dimensions advertised, hard to beat for the price at this size and quantity of drawers. However, be prepared to do some post processing on about 50% of the drawers. I spent about an hour with an exacto knife trimming off excess plastic from half of the drawers so they'd slide in and out smoothly. Drawers are also pretty flimsy, wouldn't expect these to hold up under a great deal of weight. If I were Akro-Mils I would be embarrassed to put my name on this.
