Good quality

Only mistake I made was not measuring the width of my gutters before ordering . Made a few adjustments and got it to fit. Sealed it up and now waiting for rains to return to test out.

Smaller than expected.

This unit is far smaller than expected, both in diameter and length. It will not fit over a downspout not be useful as a scupper on its own.

Well made, but doesn’t fit a standard gutter

This item is very well made, and I like the look much better than most rain chain adaptors I’ve found, but is too large for a standard gutter. Some other reviewers mentioned being able to bend the sides or use sheet metal shears to make it fit, which is what I had planned to do, but the metal is just too thick for that to be easy/practical. I ended up returning them and getting something less nice but easier to deal with.

It works well, after it is installed properly, but it is not plug-n-play. It will not fit standard size gutters and will need to be trimmed to fit. If you are not comfortable using sheet metal sheers to trim these to fit, get someone who is to help you install these properly.

Works perfectly

The Monarch Gutter Adapter works as described. This one should be used with aluminum gutters so there is no issue with galvanic corrosion (don't use copper if it touches aluminum).

Will not fit 5in standard down spout

Will not fit standard 5in downspout in several ways. I had to trim 2 sides of the top edges down to the spout completely and smash the spout to get it in the hole. Works as it should but defeated the purpose of the purchase, for all the effort could have fashioned something similar for free.

Works great but needed adjustment

Works fantastic we are using a regular galvanized 9ft chain the hold is strong !, we have the large sized eves troughs and we still had to use metal cutters to make it fit but this was the best option we have found. Took 5 business days to arrive

TOO big!

Be cautious! If you are going to try to fit this into a regular size gutter it won't work, it's too big! Item had to be returned.
