Bulky and difficult to use
I probably would have liked it better if it came with instructions and tips. I found it bulky and difficult to set up on my Barska scope. I found it easier to not use it sometimes. But, it was better than nothing and does what it should do, basically.

Absolute piece of junk
Using a Canon Rebel XSI with std. 18-35 lens. The product wiil not properly hold camera in place as the arms and nuts are not strong enough to hold the weight of the camera. Once you finally get it in place you have hold it with your hands because you cannot tighten screws down enough to hold it in place. I followed all the instructions to the letter and i never did get to work properly. Very poor quality! A poorly thought out product and as far as i am concerned a rip-off. DO NOT BUY!!!! Save your money and buy a good lens and a 2x extender, it will cost alot more but will work properly from the start.

it's OK...
The main arm is not level to the opening and it is not flat, it is bent down. This is a replacement from the 1st unit I received that was broken and it was bent as well. The price it right, so the downfall can sometimes be overlooked.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I bought this device to attach my Iphone to my spotting scope so that I did not have to raise my protective lenses to look through the scope. It took a bit of effort to get it aligned properly and I needed an attachment to mount my phone but it worked brilliantly. For the money it is a very good value.

Looks Like a Toy
This digi adapter looks as a toy. And, it doesn't support an SLR. It is unable to hold the camera at the desired position while at an angle. It keeps rotating. It may work with a small camera but not an SLR.

Works great for me
I had low expectations given the poor reviews here, but really this seems fairly well made and does a fine job holding up a Sony RX100. Sure it isn't a Swarovski quality, but it also isn't $400.

I hesitated for quite a while, thinking this an inelegant solution. It actually works quite well, though. Within the hour after receiving the adapter, I was taking movies of an osprey enjoying a trout lunch over 500 feet away -- certainly better than expected. I now see that I can do things with digiscoping that wouldn't be possible with traditional photographic equipment.
