Works well when you do it right
Make sure you use boiling water. Don't try the hair dryer even though it's mentioned as an option. That won't get these hot enough. When applied right, they hold the label on well and even keep it pretty dry even in the cooler.

Not for me.
I have tried these numerous times and they just dont work so well for me. If I use a hair dryer they shrink up unevenly and wrinkle badly. They shrink up better if you dip them in water, but then your lable gets wet and if you printed on regular paper, you just get a color running all over the label. That defeats the reason for getting them in the first place. So, its a good idea, but doesnt work for me. Might for you.

Good, but nearly impossible to achieve a completely smooth, plastic cladding
Overall, I like these and would use again. However, no matter how much I practiced, I never was able to get a truly smooth result. Even the best of my labels had fine wrinkles in their plastic cladding. On the plus side, they'll be far easier to remove than ordinary, adhesive labels.

Before you even try the others, just buy this
I serched all over to find a good quality way to label my home brew. I've tried several printable labels and they all faded or fell off as soon as I put the beer on ice. This is definitely the way to go. Simply print your label on regular paper place it on the bottle, place the bottle in the plastic sleeve, and dip in hot water. The plastic sleeve immediately shrinks to the shape of the bottle. Cut off the excess and that's it. I washed these labeled bottles and sure enough the plastic coating was airtight, saving my labels

Very user friendly product. I was not able to get the hair dryer method done but the warm water worked great. There is a technique to the dipping the bottles in the water to avoid having to cut excess material from the bottle. I would definitely buy again. For first time bottlers and labelers this a great product and does what it needs to. Hint: when you go to dip bottle in hot water go slow to allow excess at top to shrink and form to bottle.

Works good with www.beerlabelizer.com
Worked fine both with the hot dip and blow dryer. A heat gun would be better. If u pI a dab of glue from a stick on the back of the label it stays in place and can be reused. Though I just glue the labels on directly sometimes. Not as glossy but still professional looking.

Better ways for labeling...
This product does what it says but there are other methods that are much easier and less involved. My experience using these sleeves is more negative than positive. I thought they looked kind of second rate. Additionally, you need to trim the sleeves after they setup. It's kind of a pain. I only used a couple to try them out and threw the rest away. Hint: print out your design with a laser printer, cut them out and stick them to the bottle by brushing them with milk! I know... It sounds ridiculous but it works. No smell either! ... You're welcome!!!

... around a champagne bottle - even a skinny one like Andre. Some ended up wrinkled
It definitely works - but it's harder to fit around a champagne bottle - even a skinny one like Andre. Some ended up wrinkled. I was surprised, but this is a good way to do a waterproof label.
