Better than expected!
I love these! To be honest I was a little skeptical when I ordered them but they look good and work great! I put them on the wall going down my basement steps. Since the walls are concrete and I didn't want the hassle of drilling into them, this was an excellent option! And even though they're plastic they look good!

Great light for the first month, we'll see if new batteries hold up better
... but now the light is dimming. Tried new batteries and hope these last. It takes 3 AAA's and I used regular Duracell batteries rather than a special kind - that may be why I get a short battery life. PROS: looks attractive, battery-powered so you can put it anywhere, mounts with tape or nails though I just set mine on the stair to try different locations. Lights up the area nicely so I see to walk up/down stairs at night. Comes on when I'm one step above or below or when I walk in front of staircase (facing the light) so it's handy. Comes on in complete darkness or in very low light. Stays on 30 seconds or so and the on-off has worked perfectly. CONS: Battery compartment screws on with 4 screws (what??) and the on / off /auto switch is also behind that screw plate. You could leave off the back plate entirely but then you'd lose the mounting surface for your tape or the holes for nail-mount. I just set mine on the stair -- one at top and one at bottom of staircase works perfectly. If the batteries will last and the LED bulb lasts I will be very happy with this little light.

Love these but…..
Stopped working after 6 weeks. Changed the batteries, not a battery problem. Worried the rest are going to fail soon. Disappointed.

I really wanted to love these but...
I bought 16 of these for use as basic safety lighting during power outages. Since power outages are unpredictable, I chose this model because it is attractive enough to leave up year-round. Unfortunately, the battery life and cover design issues are such a hassle the lights now live in a box in a closet with a screwdriver of their own, and I live with the black mounting plates on my walls year-round. Things you should know: 1) The reviewers aren't kidding. These things burn through batteries at an astonishing rate. No, really: ASTONISHING. 2) The battery compartment and on/off/auto switch are located behind a panel held in place by four screws. Dealing with this occasionally would not be a big deal, but since these things burn through batteries so fast this design flaw is a huge pain in the backside. 3) The photo sensor isn't very sensitive. When set on auto, lights hung in even the faintest shadow come on night AND day. (See battery life.) 4) Motion sensitivity varies tremendously from light to light. Some work fine; others are triggered by motion two rooms away. 5) Minor point: Do you see those little diamond shapes on the light's front grill? Some are mounted vertically. Some are mounted horizontally. The grills are glued in place, so it's not something you can fix. This is not the end of the world, but it is a further mark of sloppy design and construction. On the whole, this light is a great concept poorly executed. I would strongly urge the manufacturer to go back to the drawing board and bring us an attractive light with a readily accessible on/off/auto switch, meatier batteries, and a battery compartment that opens easily and without tools. I'd buy 'em in a flash. These? Not so much.

Works well, good sensor, good light output.
Using two of them to light a turned stairwell. Motion sensor sensitivity is good, but sometimes wont pick up my 10lb small dog, but always gets people, and from good angles and distances. And light sensitivity (not supposed to turn on with enough ambient light) seems a bit low - the light turns on most of the times I walk past it, unless during the very brightest times of day. If this sensitivity were a bit higher, it wouldnt turn on as often, and the batteries would last longer. But too early for me to comment on battery life, I've had them about a month. Mounting is simple, with two screw holes, or the provided 3M double side tape (plenty strong). Light stays on about 20 seconds. Plenty bright, and a good natural color (not cold LED white). Also - Not quite as "bronze" as the pictures show, more of a silver color with subtle bronze aging look? Needs 3 AAA batteries that are not included.

Works great for us on motion sensor!
We use these outdoors on a covered porch outside a sauna door. They are not super bright, but we didn't want super bright. The motion picks up the sauna door opening inward and it lights the patio up perfect so no one trips in the dark. We also have one installed in a covered outdoor shower and because it picks up the motion from the feet moving, it stays on perfectly to light the shower. Would recommend if you just need dim light on motion sensor. Not sure how well it works with the dusk to dawn feature.

Nice looking and great working - also great company to deal with if needed!
I put this light outside under an eave that is flat and is over my door to the house. I wasn't sure if it would stick as I did not want to use the screws, but it did and it works great! I wanted to be able to see my door knob and keyhole at night and this does exactly that! I am so pleased and really happy with it! On another note, the Fulcrum customer service is absolutely great. I had contacted them on another of their products that I had for a long time, and they exceeded my expectations which is mostly why I chose and bought this product. They actually answered the phone when I called about the other item! Wow, now that is exceptional service! They were great to deal with and really stand behind their products, and I think that is so very important and will continue to seek out this company over others when shopping for a light!

As expected
I ordered 2 Lights. They met expectations in accordance with advertisement. I wanted soft lights (not bright) that would quickly go on and off with motion In hallway at night. When sleeping, I face the hallway and I'm a light sleeper. With 4 cats roaming around at night these lights were great. My husband and I have fun watching giant cat shadows appear on the wall turning our little ones into jungle cats as they stroll by. I read reviews and agree that the on/off switch is not easily accessible. Also one of the little pegs on the plate they attach to broke off 2 days after hanging on wall. Now I have to attach light diectly to wall with 2-sided tape.
