These are so much better than the ear plugs I tried initially.
These are so much better than the ear plugs I tried initially. They block sound very nicely and are adjustable to the size of your head. I only wish they were not as bulky but I highly recommend over the ear plugs.

Yes it will fit your head
Light weight, great for woodworking and garage machine noise levels. Ignore the one-star reviews that complain they're too small and don't fit; they apparently haven't figured out that the metal arms can each telescope about 1.5" (38mm) to accommodate any size head up to and including bowling ball size.

Excellent Light Duty Ear Muffs
I have used these exact muffs for nearly a decade and will use no other for regular shop use while planing wood, running saws, dust collector, etc.... Again... these are LIGHT DUTY muffs..... if I were in a location with great levels of noise than my one many shop...... I'd look for a higher decibel cancelling muff. But there are very comfortable and if your needs are like mine...... you will be pleased. I DO NOT use them for shooting as I rarely shoot.

PERFECT if you NEED QUIET to study, work, sleep, meditate, and so on...
The 3M Peltor earmuffs are great for studying! I purchased these before I started graduate school because I am the type of person who concentrates best when it is silent or at least very quiet. In the past, I tried listening to music on my headphones when studying in a noisy environment, but that only distracted me more. These noise reduction earmuffs were inexpensive, yet they have been extremely useful in helping me tune out extraneous noise. Here is my product evaluation of the 3M Peltor Noise Reduction Earmuffs: *PROS* NOISE REDUCTION: These earmuffs drown out enough noise so that I can hear myself think even if I am studying in a noisy place. These earmuffs are not completely noise canceling, but they do effectively muffle medium loud sounds, such as a conversation happening a right next to you, and very loud sounds, such as a blaring police siren outside your window. These earmuffs are excellent at completely eliminating soft background noise, such as the hum of a refrigerator or a conversation happening in the next room. COMFORT: I find these earmuffs very comfortable. The two earpieces are cushioned and fit around my ears without bending them. The width of the earmuffs is adjustable and so can be worn tightly or loosely, as you prefer. They are also very lightweight. MANY PRACTICAL USES: Apart from studying, these earmuffs are great for the following additional uses: (1) to help you concentrate in a chaotic office environment; (2) to help you sleep even when the neighbor's dog won't stop barking; (3) to help you meditate and achieve a Zen state; and more. *CONS* BULKY: There is an image of these earmuffs folded compactly on Amazon, but these earmuffs do not easily fold. Therefore, I keep them extended, and they take up more space in my purse than I anticipated they would. 3M LOGO ON EAR PIECES: Some images show plain ivory earpieces with "Peltor" printed in black, but the earmuffs you receive when placing this order are ivory with red and black text that reads "3M Optime 95" (See attached photo). I would have preferred the more plain earpiece design so that the earmuffs resembled regular music headphones rather than so obviously called to mind construction worker/air traffic controller equipment, which affords you some funny looks in a school/office setting.

I was impressed by the reviews so I bought 2 pairs for my husband and myself. Neither my husband nor I have freakishly large heads but after putting the over the head version of these 3M earmuffs on, I’m beginning to think we have bigger heads than average. I found the over the head fit rather tight. I tried to extend the earmuff part lower, but it was maxed out in length. I may have to return these for a different 3M model.

It does reduce noise so as to reduce discomfort from extreme noise
I usually work around quite a bit of noisy machinery which produce a lot of high pitch sound that causes lot of discomfort. So after wearing these the noise is reduced to a comfortable level. KEEP IN MIND that it does not eliminate noise 100% like you would expect an active noise cancelling device to do, it only reduce outside noise to a comfortable level. It is comfortable to wear and lightweight so can be worn for extended periods. That said it could be cheaper.

Usefull, makes me calm
I've got neightbors that have a 1+ year old and he has learn the joy of crying-jumping-running. Let's say I was lacking sleep, quite a bit. Then I figured I could use those, at least for a power nap during the day (that kid is always up) and that mixed with encense it a good way to meditate for me. 2020 is hard, man, you got to find all the ways to take a break. Also, it might be useful around the tablesaw.

後天性の聴覚過敏の者です。日常生活が出来なくなり途方に暮れていました。こちらの商品の口コミとデザインを拝見して購入しましたが、久しぶりに気持ちよく日常生活が送れています！！硬いものがぶつかり合う音、犬の鳴き声、気にならなくなりました。確かに無音ではありませんが、家族と会話出来るので私はこれくらいがいいです。当初締め付けも感じましたが、女性の自分はそこまで気にならず、装着したままお昼寝も出来ています。聴覚過敏の方には是非一度試して欲しいです。

excellent fit and noise protection - once adjusted properly
Out of the box, the earcups didn't go low enough, resulting in an overly-small/tight fit. I thought these are non-adjustable and I'd have to live with the tight fit. If all else fails, read the instructions. So it was my delight to learn the earcups can be slid a lot lower. Now a perfect fit. By using the adjustment, these will fit kids to large adults. They fit comfortably but the headband provides a bit more force than I'd like - but it makes for a good seal and it fits securely even in bumpy environments. The ear pads are soft & cushy despite not being very thick. Overall, these are very comfortable once adjusted properly. Contrary to some other comments, I find the noise reduction is more than adequate. If anything, I'd prefer a bit *less* attenuation because I use these around the house where I like to still hear a little bit of what's going on around me. I've had cheaper hearing protectors whose plastic headbands eventually broke. The stainless steel bands of this one should last many years. These are semi low-profile, so the earcups don't stick out much, giving less of a goofy look when wearing hearing protection. Also love the understated, unique off-white color - nice looking without being flashy. Good job 3M, on designing a simple but solid, professional-quality hearing protector.

Bueno, bonito y barato
Casi son desechables, yo los conocí porque son los que dan cuando visitas un centro de cómputo y en realidad los uso cuando viajo en avión y me toca un ambiente ruidoso. Por aprox USD 10 creo que en caso de tener un problema los podría dejar en aduana y si los extravio no sufriría tanto como cuando me robaron mis Bose QuitConfort de 499 USD. El nivel de aislamiento están a ese mismo nivel y aun pueden escuchar musica con sus audifonos simpres dentro del oido que tienen cable que conecta al celular.
