easy to use
Had to get because my kids started showing fitted sheep instead of slick shorn. Easy to handle no matter what hand you use. if don't wipe them off after use they will rust.

SUPER SHARP!!
Super sharp! Be careful! I cut myself and my assistant trimming my Great Perineese dog cause she wouldn't stay still. Cut off all the hair mats without difficulty. Cheaper that electric clippers and easier to use. Didn't get hot and the dog tolerated much better than electric clippers!!

Ever shave an alpaca before? We did.
We inherited an alpaca and learned about their care on the job. After the winter was over and the warm weather arrived, we knew that we'd have to shear our gal's substantial coat. Youtube videos gave us the confidence to try it ourselves - never having tried anything of the sort before, and we bought this set of shears. It was a lot easier than we anticipated and she didn't seem to mind us holding her in place while we did it. The shears worked flawlessly and if memory serves me well, she did not get nicked or cut even once. These will be great for next year too, we trust.

Happy llama
Purchased these to give our works livestock guardian llama a trim. She isn’t the most friendly lady so we wanted something stealthy, easy to use, and cheap if we couldn’t get it to work out. Luckily with some grain she was content to stand and let us give her a wonky haircut, but she is feeling much cooler and frisky and these worked well. Struggled a little with more matted areas, did not cut through well, also not the most comfortable to hold and use shears, especially for smaller hands, but the price was right and the job is done, and we have a happy llama.

So nice I bought two!
I selected these sheep sheers to cut and trim grass as a "cleaner" and more reliable alternative to an electric "weed eater." I lost the first pair within 2 weeks (possibly stolen while I was out of town, or possibly in a place so secure I can't remember). So I bought a second pair, and it's just as good as the first. I like this design because it's simple, so it ought to be quite reliable (as opposed to various grass clippers with springs and extra hinges, etc). The only possible concern, for the ultra-picky, is that the first pair I ordered had a black handle, and the second a red handle. The color of the handle doesn't mater to me, but if you specifically want a red handle as pictured, you may be disappointed.
