I have been hand clipping my grapes for years this tool made it so much easier and faster to cut the fruit off the vine. Great for my carpel tunnel hands!

Great device for harvesting a LOT of grapes

This is a cutter for harvesting a LOT of grapes. My family went to a small family owned vinyard to help with their harvest and this was the recommended device. SO much better and easier on the hands then using scissors

This is a defectively manufactured product.

I own a vineyard and I have been looking to increase the safety of the harvesting process. The pickers presently use a sharpened hook shaped knife and I fear the loss of a finger or a terrible wound. I found this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. It does work fine, but is it so cheaply made that the device that holds it into the handle broke immediately when I tried to rotate the head in the handle as it is designed to do. I improvised a metal pin to hold it in place. As manufactured, the head is held in place by two locking pins that you can see in the center of the picture, one on each side. When you push them in, they are supposed to allow the head to rotate. Instead, they break off and the head is then worthless as it freely rotates. I contacted Zenport and they shined me off. Their customer service people are next to useless and are not responsive. Zenport does not make this. They relabel a Taiwanese product that is otherwise available at half the price from most farm supply stores. The concept is a good one and it will work, although not nearly as fast as the pickers want. It comes with the head in the wrong position and both heads broke when I tried to rotate the head to the correct position. I would avoid this product

Goodbye sharp scissors

This works great. The handle has plenty of grip and harvesting is easier and faster now. No risk of getting cut by sharp scissors either. Great buy and will buy again.

Blades were dull after one day

Might be OK for a (really) small vineyard. I bought 6 of these for the harvest this year. All were dull at the end of the first day and we switched back to clippers. Replacement blades are $14, way too expensive to be a commercial solution.

Excellent Took for Grape Harvest

As a novice picker, I easily harvested 1/4 ton of Zinfandel in a couple hours with it. Much safer than the hooked knives and almost as fast. After an hour or so handling it, you can begin to use it to trim bad berries and bad parts of clusters rather than having to switch to an open blade knife. Highly recommended for beginners or friends who help you harvest.

nice tool

The tool did as advertised. It's very easy to use, and it has stayed sharp through the wine grape harvest here in Washington. I will probably get an additional blade before next season.
