A First-rate product !
A Very solidly-built toe clip; nicely curved in front to receive the toe of my shoe and even prevents unwanted side to side movement. Performs well and very light, so my pedals are very easy to flip up and my shoe toe slides right into the clip . Easy to install, depending on your pedal design. Comes with screws and nuts, but I added split lock washers for extra security. The Extremely brief instructions do not say what the flat metal plates in the parts bag are for or where they should be installed. Those may be intended as a backing plate for the nuts, but the plates are too large and would not fit on the inside surface of my pedals, so I had to discard them. Instead I would have added a steel flat washer, but the screws are not long enough to accommodate that or the metal plates. Despite these minor shortcomings, I highly recommend these toe clips as excellent value for the price .

These CAN be modified if too loose or too tight!
I have ridden road bikes for many thousands of miles and over decades, in and out of town, and have always ridden with strapped toe clips. Recently, I bought several pairs of hiking shoes. The toe boxes of these shoes are a lot bigger than what I typically wear, being cross trainers, tennis shoes and the like, always New Balance 11 4E. My new hiking shoes are the same 11 4E size, and not surprisingly, the strapped toe clips on my road bike pinch the hiking shoes quite a bit and I was hesitant to try biking with them. Herein comes these Zefal Mountain Bike Toe Clips, and for me the L/XL size was the only possibility. I bought a pair and what I received had a problem. They were the same size (L/XL was stamped on both), but one was a lot roomier than the other. The larger one was fine but one was pinched vertically a good 1/2 inch less than the other. I complained to Amazon and the seller simply refunded me and said to throw away what I'd received. I set them aside and today decided to see if I could somehow bend the smaller clip larger, make it the same "size" as the other clip. I heated water in a 2 quart sauce pan, put in a thermometer. It wasn't working until I got the water near to boiling. Once it was up to 200 or 210 degrees (better), dipping the clip (holding it by the top) in the essentially boiling water for a minute or two, then (with work gloves on) bending the clip at the crease at the bottom for another minute or so, I got the clip to hold its new shape. I did this a few times to get it just where I wanted it. Now the clips are the same size and I installed them on my road bike. I like not having to concern myself with straps, what with having to wiggle my feet to get a decent insertion and now there's less concern with dismounting quickly in the event of an emergency.

A little bit of patience will do it!
When I saw the kinda squarish photos online, I thought the fit wouldn't be that great, but these are a perfect, comfortable fit for my size 13 shoes. Installation took about 20 minutes because of the tight space between the screws where the nuts attach. You will definitely need small pliers that can grab the nuts as you tighten the screws. One bicker...Phillips head screws would have made installation quicker and easier. You will have to remove the reflector on the pedal if you have one, easily done with a plier, then simply knock out the plastic left in the two holes of the pedal with a nail and hammer. Other than that, they are perfect at a great price. They arrived about a week after ordering. I'm very pleased.

It's a basic toe clip, no straps. Good for a casual bicyclist like me. I haven't used clips previously but wanted to try. I love these. My feet are secure and positioned perfectly. The flexible plastic seems will take some abuse. I'm not concerned with breaking. I needed to grind a nub off my plastic pedals, drill holes, and get longer bolts, but generally an easy install. The small/large size cutoff is size 9. I'm a 9 and the large is perfect.

you need to know this !!
these WILL NOT fit a Wellgo B087 pedal . and cannot be made to do so. other than that, the large size seemed about right for a size 10, well made stiff composite plastic .so if you are sure they will fit your bike buy them. did not fit so four stars.

good product
easy to install, I wanted to replace an old set with strap but did not wanted the strap. This set works really good. Make sure you get the right size I made the mistake of buying the s/m but they were too small for my feed.

If you ride fixed (and I should have been able to realize this) these are absolutely useless.
Cool if just want something that kinda keeps your foot on the pedal. Not really foot retention, more like encouragement. Probably not intended for what I got them for. Also THEY DONT COME WITH THE HARDWARE TO ATTACH TO PEDALS. Trash product for me. May be good for someone. Again horrible for fixed riding, but that’s probably not what they’re for.

Didn’t work for me but good product.
While the clips didn’t work out for me because of where I needed to install them on my pedals, they’re very sturdy, of good quality, and don’t cost a whole lot. If I end getting different pedals in the future that will accommodate these clips, I’ll buy them for sure.

Surprisingly effective and very convenient
I'd been using the "strap style" toe clips that came with my bike for years, They undoubtedly located my feet securely, but one had become mishapen and it was becoming difficult to insert my foot while pedalling. Noticed a friend's new bike had half-toe style clips and decided to give them a try even though I wasn't 100% confident they would work as well as full strap style clips. Easy to fit using original screws into location threads used by the old strap-syle toe clips and therefore I've not had problem with bolts unfastening that other people have reported. After a dozen rides - road and forest tracks - I can say that in use, these clips are excellent. 1) locate feet securely 2) position ball of foot on pedal 3) easy to insert and remove foot from clip 4) can definitely pull up on pedal stroke almost same as when using a full cage.

These have changed my life!!
One of the pear purposes I’ve ever made. I used to struggle on hills as I couldn’t stand up on the bike. These clips have completely changed that. I’m able to stand ok and pedal up hills which has been transformational for my riding and my fitness. They are easy to instal and really sturdy but my only complaint is the nuts unscrew from the bolt really easily so a few times I got home and the bolt was gone. So I’ve had to put in screws. Works just as well. Highly recommend despite this. Thank you

Nice addition to my bike
I have flat pedals, and as I have been getting better at cycling and increasing my cadence, I sometimes notice that my feet don't stay in the same position in the pedals. I considered going clipless, but I am a bit concerned about such a radical change, so these seemed like a good compromise, and as they are fairly cheap, if I didn't get on with them I wouldn't lose much. They come with screws, washers and nuts, and fitting to my flat pedals was straightforward, I just removed the reflective strip and the screws went in through the now available holes, in all just about five minutes to fit. Riding is better now, as the clips keep my feet in the right place even at high cadence or when the road is rough and jumpy. The only slight issue is getting used to getting the second foot in when starting up, as the additional weight of the clip turns the pedal down, but just a matter of practice I guess. Getting the feet out is the same as not having any attachment to the pedal, so no fear of falling to the side because I didn't manage to unclip!

Very well made product,and cheap at the price.
I thought these would be cheap and flimsy for the price they are, i was wrong. They are very well made very sturdy and do the job,i would highly recommend this product. I have size 11 feet UK size and initially bought the large size, but i like to ride with the balls of my feet on the pedals which the large size don't allow you to do . Your feet are too far forward with the large size, i have just bought the medium size and they are the perfect size.
