Comparison of Travelsafe classic, Pacsafe Stylesafe, and Pacsafe Metrosafe L350
I am hoping to do a good bit of traveling in the future, and decided I wanted to invest in a nice daypack. I was looking for one with anti-theft features, that would fit under an airline seat, and be comfortable to wear. I was not looking for something that would hold a weekend’s worth of clothes, and was not interested in bigger backpacks. I couldn’t decide based on reviews, and ended up ordering Travelon Anti-theft classic backpack – 11 liters - $65, Pacsafe – Style safe 12 liter Anti-theft Backpack - $119, and Pacsafe Metrosafe L5350 15 liter Anti-theft daypack/backpack - $100 The Pacsafe bags have the turn and lock feature where you can lock a strap around a chair or other object. All three bags had a light gray interior. There are plenty of in-depth reviews of these bags, so I am including photos and my key takeaways Metrosafe L350 Pros Style would work for man or women Turn and lock feature Bigger – if that is what you need Cons The carabiner lock device for the main compartment zipper was made of plastic. It seemed flimsy to me compared to the rest of the bag. It is a lock you would use all the time and I just don’t see it holding up for years. Travelon Pros Stylish Mini flashlight attached to key holder to view contents when you are in a dark area One side pocket zips closd to hide umbrella or other item Almost half the price of Pacsafe Cons No turn and lock feature Stylesafe Pros Stylish Turn and lock feature Opening to main compartment is against your back while wearing the bag. Most comfortable (to me) Cons Tablet would not fit into sleeve while it was in it's case Price I actually liked the feel of the material and the fit of the Stylesafe the best, and I really wanted the turn and lock feature. However, the fact it would not fit my tablet in it’s case was a huge drawback. The Travelon was a close second for me in fit and material. It also felt roomier than the Stylesafe. At almost half the price of the Stylesafe, it is hard not to recommend this bag. The attached mini flashlight, zippered side pocket, and configuration of the interior pockets won me over. This is the bag I kept, despite it not having the turn and lock feature that I really wanted. Either the Pacsafe Stylesafe or Travelon classic would make excellent day packs. They are not meant to be a weekend bag. Metrosafe has plenty of excellent reviews. It was a little bigger than what I was planning to use it for, and I could not get over the plastic clip Bottom line – These all seem to be well made secure bags so choose what meets your needs and personal preference.

This Needs A Sternum Strap for Travel
I really like many aspects of this back pack. It's relatively water-proof, it fits very well on my back without being overly large, it has a lot of really great pockets, plus a dedicated pocket to tuck my water bottle into on the outside. But the straps tend to slip off my shoulders, and with a laptop stowed inside, it pulls more than it would if a sternum strap anchored it and redistributed the weight. It would also benefit from another strap on the underside, so it could be slipped over the handle of a suitcase to avoid having to backpack it through an airport or elsewhere there isn't a lot of room to swing a backpack, like the aisle of an aircraft or a bus.

Worth the money
I love the light weight, durable material of this pack. The zippers are easily zipped and locked to prevent them from opening too easily. The many compartments helped me with organization and knowing were everything is so I did not have to go digging for an item. I have several hiking back packs so I would recommend this one specifically for travel!

Great for travel but…
I got this backpack before we left on vacation. I noticed the stitching a bit messed up but did not have time to exchange it. Other than that I liked the number of pockets it had. There was a place for everything and I liked the way you could lock the zippers. I got it in black so my husband would carry it for me once in a while. It was a great travel backpack and I will use it a lot. I just don’t know if I should cut the loose threads. I am 5’7” if that helps.

Excellent Product
Used daily on a recent trip to UK. Fit under the aircraft seats as my "personal item"-no problem, even on the European carriers. Very good quality of both materials and sewing. Had concerns that it would look too small when worn on my back, as I'm a big guy....not the case. Looks good and functions as advertised.

Compact yet Roomy
This is an awesome little backpack. I took it with me to Mexico as my “personal item” on the plane and with me on tours and day excursions. It’s easy to carry around and big enough to fit everything you need- I was impressed with what I could fit inside it. My packable down jacket, pajamas, travel toiletries case, travel documents, crossbody purse and some souvenirs fit comfortably inside. Aside from maybe a waist strap, there’s nothing I’d add to this backpack. It worked great!

Love Travelon!
Love this bag! I’m using for a trip in the summer. Great features. Lots of storage places but not too big. Love this color. Very well made. I have a purse by travelon and it is still going strong after a year.

Good all rounder
Used this backpack every day on recent trip to Southeast Asia and it proved invaluable. Held a fair amount as my carry-on for flights, including camera, iPad, cables and batteries, toiletries, small towel; could have stuffed in more if necessary. Attached neck cushion with carabiner and was good to go. Various compartments kept smaller items handy without having to rummage around. On coach journeys and day trips kept it light with just a few essentials, and even in the heat (intense at times) it was very comfortable and did not cause a sweaty back, through a linen shirt at least. It also looked neat on my small (5ft 2) frame and more stylish than my previous ‘built for the hills’ packs. Always used the anti-theft clips when out at nights, where I needed backpack as a shopper to hold souvenirs. Once, on a crowded street, felt a slight jostling on my back and turned round to see a guy up close with a scarf around his hand. With easier access he might have gotten away with something, who knows. Now back home will get more good use of my backpack on long walks and days out with grandsons. Very happy so far.

Great security
Love the backpack. Anti cut straps so preventing easy theft and also RFID so my cards can't be scanned. Only downside is that the opening isn't very big.

Great bag, questionable zip clasps though
My friend had one of these so I bought one. However on arrival one of the zip holders for the zip wasn't nailed down all the way and as a result, the zip clasp has come off. I received this abroad on 2 month trip away so didn't have time to return it. Shame as a result I can't say it has great build quality, but otherwise it is a good sized bag with good compartments.

Great bag not so great customs charges
Love this backpack. Nice to have the locking zips and all the other security features. Comfortable. Only thing is I had to pay customs charges which was unexpected. Red Pebble Products have said they will reimburse this to me. I have sent them proof but they have not reimbursed me.
