LOVE IT
What a great extension cord I have never had one that I liked so well. The end lights up to let you know that there's power in the cord when it's plugged into an outlet. Also it doesn't kink like most others .GREAT CORD,Buy it you'll love it.A+++

Heavy duty
Tired of Mickey Mouse extension cords, I bought this one. This is thick yet very pliable. Great to have the lighted end to know if I pulled it out of the socket when stretching it too far ( maybe should have ordered 50’). Having the OSHA approval means it should be safe.

So far, so good
I bought this knowing it was going to get beat up by usage over the next few months. The outer shield feels tough, I like the fact that it lights up when energized. The ends are sturdy hard plastic and seal well. As far as flexibility, it seems to have a coil memory from shipping, but I think that will eventually flatten out with more use. My review is one week of daily use on a backyard job site (power tools) so far no complaints, and I feel it was good value for the price. Hope this helps.

Heavy duty electrical chord
I don't like cheap, flimsy stuff. I want tools and accessories that can hold up under pressure of use in any circumstance. This extension chord is safe and beefy, solid. I own two and use both regularly. I am not disappointed in this purchase.

Comparison of Six Extension Cords
This review covers six different extension cords, including this one. Here's the list of cords I bought. Originally I bought the first three as examples of the three most commonly available types and then I added the others. Products in this review: #1:Yellow Jacket 2886 14/3 Heavy-Duty 15-Amp SJTW Contractor Extension Cord with Lighted End, 25-Feet #2:US Wire 98025 14/3 25-Foot SJEOW TPE Cold Weather Extension Cord Blue with Lighted Plug #3:Woods 4301 14/3 Ultra-Flex Rubber SJOW Extension Cord, Supreme Green, 25-Foot #4:Prime Wire & Cable LT511725 25-Foot 14/3 SJTOW Bulldog Tough Extension Cord with Prime Light Indicator Light, Yellow #5:Voltec 05-00361 14/3 SJEOOW All-Flex Extension Cord with Lighted End, 25-Foot, Blue #6:Prime LT530725 Heavy Duty 25-Foot Artic Blue All-Weather TPE Extension Cord Objective: My objective is to find a good quality flexible 25 foot 14/3 outdoor style extension cord. My primary concern is handling (flexibility and lack of memory) which I define as the cord laying flat on the ground and being easy to hand coil after use. A lighted plug is convenient but not essential. More important to me are durable plugs. I'm planning on using it when it is between 40 and 100 degrees - extreme cold weather tolerance is not something I'm concerned about. I chose the first three cords as reasonably priced examples of the three commonly available types of outdoor extension cords. Properties of the Cords: #1: (Coleman Yellow Jacket) is an example of an SJTW extension cord. The T means the jacket is made from a vinyl thermoplastic (PVC). It is supposed to be a premium version of the typical home center orange outdoor extension cord because the PVC is specially formulated for extra flexibility. I weighed it in at 36.3 oz. #2: (US Wire Extreme) is an example of an SJEOW extension cord. The E means the jacket is made from a thermoplastic elastomer rubber (TPE). My understanding of TPE is that it's extruded like plastic, but acts more like rubber. I weighed it in at 25.5 oz. #3: (Coleman Supreme Green) was advertised as an SJOW extension cord. The lack of a T or E means the jacket is made from a synthetic thermoset rubber (such as EPDM). However, the cord when I received it is rated as a SJTOW with a TPE jacket (I interpret this as vinyl thermoplastic insulation with TPE jacket). I weighed it in at 33 oz. #4: (Prime Bulldog Tough) is a competitor to #1. It has an O in the specification unlike the Yellow Jacket cord which represents that it is also oil resistant. I weighed it in at 38.9 oz. #5: (Voltec All-Flex) is a competitor to #2, but has an extra O so additional oil resistance. I weighed it in at 34.7 oz. #6: (Prime Arctic Blue) is also a competitor to #2. I weighed it in at 36.2 oz. Initial impressions: #1: (Coleman Yellow Jacket). I was disappointed with this extension cord. I had high hopes after reading the other reviews posted. My experiences was that while the jacket did feel soft and pliable, the cord itself stayed scrunched and twisted. Not at all what I was looking for. Given the disparity of what I found and what others have reported, I wonder if the cord has been reformulated (cheapened?) in some way. Perhaps it came from a bad batch. My rating: 3 stars. #2: (US Wire Extreme) I like elements of this cord. It is the most flexible of the TPE cords (similar to #4 in flexibility) and the lightest weight. However the ends are poor quality, with bent over sheet metal for the plug which is a showstopper for me and pulls down my rating. My rating: 3 stars. #3: (Coleman Supreme Green) This cord was a big disappointment. I did not get a SJOW cord as advertised. Looks like Coleman has reformulated the cord for the worse since purchasing Woods. The plug is not lighted, but the plugs seem to be the heaviest duty of all of the cords. My rating: 3 stars. #4: (Prime Bulldog Tough) This is the sort of cord I expected #1 to be. I think this one is a keeper. Plugs same apparent quality as #6 except without the locking feature. My rating: 5 stars. #5: (Voltec All-Flex) Reminded me of #3, but with a lighted plug of similar quality to #4 and #6. My rating: 3 stars. #6: (Prime Arctic Blue) Much better plugs than #2 (marginally better plugs than #1) but cable not as flexible. More flexible than #3 and #5. My rating: 4 stars. Verdict: I'm disappointed that I couldn't look at a true SJOW cord. Carol (General Cable) still makes one they call FrogHide which I may end up purchasing, but they are twice the price of the other cords in this roundup. Out of the six cords I reviewed I like the Prime Bulldog Tough (#4) the best and that is the one I will be keeping. Final Thoughts: My preference for extension cords is 25 foot 14/3 and 50 foot 12/3. The longer the cord, the lower the gauge (smaller gauge means thicker cord) is required to carry the same amperage while minimizing voltage drop. These two choices both support 15 Amps which is as much as I need even for high loads like circular saws. Some folks might choose two 25 foot 12/3 cords that could cover up to 50 feet but I prefer dedicated lengths. Another interesting option is to make your own cord by purchasing some SJOW or SJOOW or SOOW cable (extra O is extra oil resistant and lack of J is heavier duty jacket) and install some quality after market Leviton (or similar) commercial style plugs.

Great product at a great price,
This Yellow Jacket 25 foot extension cord is just what I was looking for. It's 14/3 wire and 15 amp capacity make it suitable for light to medium duty jobs while at the same time staying flexible. I like the lighted receptacle that lets you know when it is energized. It appears to be of very good quality, materials and workmanship.

Excellent for the price
I have some other outdoor heavy duty cables that are sturdier and after years of use look like new (not as clean though). This one is not in that category, but for the price this is excellent product. Highly recommended!

God quality, great price
This is perfect for my long run to my vehicle for a block heater, and cheaper than local stores (which were out of stock of this size and length when I needed it)

De très bonne qualité devient Moins flexible au grand froid mais quand même bien comparativement à des prix au magasin pour la même qualité je recommande

Does the job.
Needed this for some lawn equipment. Price was comparable to in store and the ease of ordering won out.

Very durable
Works well. Very durable. My snowblower chewed it couple times, but it stayed intact.
