It Was Delicious! Seriously!

I love this leash. Buying another one. My dog ate it in half to escape. She was behind a bush connected to another leash on a post, while I was pruning. No joke. 5 minutes, it was only together by a thread. I was shocked. Getting a chain leash for hanging out with me in the yard. She’s spoiled. ☺️ Maybe she was afraid to remove the last thread. She knew she was bad and gave me sad puppy eyes. I just took her inside.

Seems Fine

I bought 2 of these leashes. As some of the comments stated one came with loose/frayed edge. Overall, decent enough quality. The clasp seems to be substantial and decent quality. I bought the 1 inch diameter which is too much for a 2.5 lb pup. I will be returning and buying the 3/8 inch instead.

Perfect as a Puppy House Lead

Used this as a house lead on our golden retriever puppy. We did cut off the looped end so the lead wouldn’t get caught up on furniture and other items. This lease would be ideal for smaller adult dogs too. The clasp is well attached.

Impressive customer service

I bought the 1 inch, 6 ft black leash but decided to go with a different color. When I initiated the return I was informed that refund was processed but NO RETURN NECESSARY!! I couldn’t believe it. I’ll be keeping as a backup or donate. The leash itself is good quality for price paid. Definitely recommend this company and products.

These nylon leashes are strong. I like black because it doesn’t show dirt.

I have tons of leashes and these are the ones I always go back to. The nylon really holds up, even when they are dragged on the ground. I like this thickness because it’s not skinny and it’s not too wide for my little 15lb dog. The attachment never gets detached. I like that it’s black because it doesn’t show dirt

An Outstanding Leash

Let's really dive into this one. THIS is a basic leash. For pets. Specifically for my dog. She's a border collie so she's a medium sized dog on the lower end of the spectrum. 45lbs to be exact Now when I take my border colliefor a walk, I want a sturdy leash - no frills - no funky bungee stretch or extra handles or retractables here...just a plan sturdy leash. That is this leash. The handle - big enough for my hands, my husband's hands and if Andre the giant were still with us, he might be able to hold the handle too. And the stitching is nice & sturdy The clip - it's a metal clip on a swivel so for active dogs, the leash won't twist up Again, it is metal so it is too heavy for a small dog...of course, since the leash is 1" wide, this is not for cute little velcro dogs. Get a narrower leash if you own a little furbaby The leash body...it's 1" wide so again, this is not for little dogs. It's all one piece (leash & handle) so it's nice & strong for excited dogs that like to take YOU for a walk Bottom line, this is a high quality basic leash without the unnecessary frills for a great price.

Excellent quality leash

Very good quality leash. The clip is solid. Red color is a bit on the pinkish side but looks good and is strong. Using on a 10-12 pound dog that likes to pull.

Heavy clasp may not work for small pups

This particular width/length combo is not suitable for small dogs/puppies who may be finicky or learning harness/leash training. My little hates this leash because the hardware (clasp to attach to her harness) is way too heavy and makes a metallic noise when she moves. I switched to a lightweight retractable for her sake. This one is relatively durable, though it has frayed a bit from her repeatedly turning to grab at it and gnaw on it. Good for bigger pups, but not mine!

Light weight and small buckle

This is the leash I've needed. Most are one inch in width which means the buckle at the end is thick and heavy, which is not great for small dogs as it adds too much weight. This buckle is significantly smaller which adds comfort and less drag if I drop the leash and let her run,but still sturdy enough that it is reliable and I'm not worried about it breaking. I got this leash to use with a head halter for teaching leash manners but now I always use this leash even when I'm doing a fre walk with a harness.

Good alternative for house training

We were looking for something inexpensive to train a new puppy with inside the house, and this is a decent option for the money. It's light enough to leave on the dog at all times (snip off the looped handle first), so that you can easily step on the leash to stop him from doing whatever you don't want him to do.

It's as advertised - bought of course due to the color to match a harness.

It's like any basic leash - nothing fancy, no bells and whistles... It does the job. It's the color that made us purchase to match our dogs leash and harness. I do like that compared to many other of the same style the clip is a little larger and slightly heavier material so It clips on effortlessly to our harness that has two double hooks for us to attach it to.

Possibly defective

I bought 2 of these less than 4 weeks ago. A red one and blue one. The red one has started to fray and come apart about 2 feet from the clasp end. It started as a loose thread, which quickly progressed to a rapid fray. Not sure why, but I've just managed to exchange for a replacement just before the 30 day limit. Hoping this issue is a one-off. I had the impression that PetSafe was a durable brand.
