Mixed Review
The only mixed feelings about this product are that you need it in the first place. I have an existing Yale lock with a zigbee module to connect to Alexa. Until one day it didn’t and it refused to reconnect. I searched online and found out this was the upgrade needed. It was easy to install and fixed everything and greatly increased the Yale Assure lock’s capabilities. I can now set keys from the app and get notices when the keys are used. I also have it set for the lock to automatically lock if left unlocked for too long or my phone is a certain range away. And finally it does come with a smaller piece to mount on your door jamb that will notify if your door is left open (not just unlocked). So I’m happy I got it and I’m happy with the expanded functions, but that fact that you need this for your smart product to actually be smart is silly. Make part of the initial packaging.

it made my lock useable again
after Amazon decided to stop supporting this Lock that I spent more than $500 on with Camera and Installation I couldn’t change anything. Fortunately the codes I had put in we’re still working manually but I couldn’t see him change him and this device at least now I can add codes. I can lock and unlock the lock with my phone it gives me some of the features back even though it’s pretty expensive. It’s less expensive than what Yale had to offer.

Vastly better than that idiotic "connect" hub.
The hub never worked for me (they kept replacing them when I complained. Went through 4 of them. None of them worked—it was constantly losing connection with the lock and lost the internet signal regularly as well. This module is vastly better. Works like a charm. No more hub. It even improves (but does not wholly solve) the auto-unlock feature's flakiness. Now, auto-unlock works maybe 60% of the time instead of 5% of the time. Makes the lock usable.

Replace amazon key module - works great
Swapped out the module that came in it when I bought Amazon key. Amazon proceeded to screw us all and leave us with non functioning locks - but now I can open door again remotely and easily The Yale app kinda sucks but it works (the photo of your “address” is a long rectangle not high so you can’t photo a door or house. Stupid as if they think you will have 8 lines of locks A should be a nice square thumbnail in a grid

Not as good as the previous version
I have several Yale Assure Lever Locks. I purchased this upgrade because I wanted to be able to control the lock from the Yale Access App. My other locks are connected to wifi using the August Connect bridge and the unit that installs into the lock which we've used for years with no issue. This new version doesn't require a separate bridge, but you cannot add/remove access codes on the app with this unit. You have to either invite someone via text message to create their own code, or you have to add the code on the lock itself. I hope that Yale will fix this issue as adding/removing codes on the app is one of the main things that this lock should be able to do as a smart lock. Other than this issue, the Yale Assure Lever has been a great, dependable, and very good product that has undergone heavy use in a commercial setting.
