Weak spring. Screws don’t work with drywall.

This does what it’s supposed to do, but barely. I wanted it to close my pantry door. The door is solid wood, so might be heavier than this spring is capable of handling. I installed it with the provided screws and it flew off the wall as I started to install the swing arm. I had drywall anchors at home, so drilled the holes and installed the anchors. I used the screws that came with the anchors, which were MUCH longer than the supplied ones. I’m not certain those screws would hold even in solid wood. I then started to crank the spring using to supplied tool (although the instructions say NOTHING about that. End result… it closes the close mostly and I’m happy with that. May need to add another one later.

It works as intended but noisy

I bought this to install on one of the doors to keep it closed so the cats can not get into the room. It works but it is noisy when you open the door.

Works as advertised.

I purchased this door closer because it seemed easy to install and it was inexpensive. After installing it today I was pleasantly surprised. It took all of five minutes to install and works very well. It closes my interior basement door with the perfect amount of force. I cannot speak for reliability as it was only installed today, but so far, I would recommend this closer over the more complicated and expensive units.

Nifty Screen Door Closer

Was an easy install on a wood screen door but my naughty cats can still open it up. I fixed that by using a hook and loop. Seems like a good product so far.

Great Little Product

We always forget to close the laundry door off of the kitchen, which is near the great room/den. Our old dryer has a squeak and we end up getting up and closing the door every night a time or two. I found this by chance and installed it on the inside of the laundry room door (which swings into the laundry room) and provides a constant pressure on the door, enough to make a soft close. It took me a few tries to get the closure calibrated but love this product.

I can’t say enough good about this product

Super easy to install,,,People need to keep in mind if your door doesn’t close most likely it’s a build up of paint or something in the door itself but this product works outstanding

Needs greasing

Easy to install but creaks like an 80 year old. Unscrew bottom and top screws, best done off the site of installation. Note where the spring goes (They do not boing out and hit you), just gently pull apart. I used this product to thoroughly grease the spring, use your fingers to really grind it into the spring outside and in, best to wear this plastic gloves used for medical work. Then reassemble , no creak. Excellent product, 2 minute installation, good tension

Before getting this product, I tried a hinge door closer and a pin door closer, both of which were complete duds and did not do the job properly. This product is awesome. 2 minute installation, clear instructions, colour coating on screws to keep things looking clean. The tension is perfect for my door, however, I needed to stretch the tension to it's highest level. I put this on a basement door, which has the same weight as your regular bedroom door. If you have anything heavier, the door might be a little slow to close. Very happy with product, will consider this brand if I need another. Only complaint is the excessive plastic bound wrapping... I think we as a society are ready for less heavy duty wrapping on our products lol.

Works great

Very easy to install and works great. The issue was that our 20lb dog would knock the door wide open, and I had to get out of bed to go close it. This solved the problem. I did not wind it to a higher strength and she can still open the door with ease and it closes just to the point where the door latch touches the frame. I put a fabric door stop just before it closes so she can open the door from the inside and does not get locked in the room. Anyhow, I recommend it. It is also easy to disable it by taking the peg out completely if need be. Would buy it again and probably will.

Perfect!

I mounted this on the frame of my kids’ bedroom because their door always wanted to naturally swing open, but they like to have it almost closed but not latched, and this did the trick. Seems to be well-made, Works perfectly!
