Use Loctite and make sure you get short spikes like these shoes have
I purchased these shoes with the 3/4" spikes and a cheaper pair of shoes that had 1 1/2" spikes. The spikes were the only real difference, everything else was pretty much identical when compared side-to-side. After reading reviews, I didn't even bother to test them without using loctite and a second set of nuts (interestingly, these shorter spikes had enough thread to put on a second nut while the long spikes did not and I couldn't double nut them). We were sizes 12 and 13 and they fit fine. The straps are nylon so you can adjust them as tight as you want. Unless you need the extra height for gunite or something, get a pair that has shorter spikes. The longer spikes were much harder to walk on and although they did not come loose because they had loctite, some did fold over anyway since the shoe base is just a plastic of some type. With the shorter height, no spike folded on these shoes.

Used for garage floor cover application
I used for application of a polyureaic coating on my garage floor. the biggest challenge was keeping one of them on my foot. I swear I put the straps on correctly and tightly, but one of them consistently slipped off my foot.

epoxy shoes
these are great and a must have for 2 part epoxy floors makes it soooo much easier to apply even with a long roller these are great!!

Durability
These worked great for an epoxy job I was doing on my garage floor. Fit well and very durable. Definitely needed for this type of job and highly recommend!

Kind of a pain to use, but that was ...
Kind of a pain to use, but that was just my experience. The spikes were all attached well and did not need to be retightened or threadlocked. But I did not use them for more than a half hour. They came as described and fit my purpose.

perfect for exopy floor work
Read a few reviews and understand you REALLY must locktight* the nuts on BEFORE YOU USE THEM!!! I cannot stress this enough. They work wonderfully if you take this step seriously. Good product and would buy/recommend them again.

Why so expensive?!
They do the job. Only 3 stars for 3 reasons: 1. They're expensive for a piece of plastic with some screws 2. Straps are not easily adjustable 3. I accidentally stepped on one of the plastic clips and it shattered into pieces. Went to buy a cheap strap at a supply store and now I have a way better, metal clip
