Small but Nice Candle

This is a really nice candle. I really like the wood wick. It doesn't seem to pop or crackle like some wood wicks but I like the nice glow it provides. The scent is nice, I like that it isn't floral and has a nice balance with the lavender and cypress scents. The flame is small and upon subsequent lighting is almost more of a smoldering than an actual flame. The glass jar it comes in is pretty neutral as to go with any decor. At about $16 a candle they are slightly on the pricier side but they seem to be quality. Overall happy with the "WoodWick® Renew Medium Candle, Lavender & Cypress, 6 oz.".

A gentle scent perfect for smaller rooms

I love WoodWick candles, but my complaint in the past is that sometimes if I light one in my small office, it's so overpowering that I have to snuff it out to prevent a headache. This scent is pleasant and light enough to work very well in my office space. I like the container design and a cork lid that can be used as a pad to set the candle on when burning. The slight indentation in the top is the perfect resting place. I've noticed this isn't as crackly as the other WoodWick candles. It happens to be what I like about the ambiance a crackling candle offers where there is no fireplace to light. However, this one is pretty quiet, so I don't get that experience. The candle melts evenly and doesn't leave any unmelted wax at the edges. Burns clean and even. This is a nice size for gifting. The lavender and cypress is pleasant and a fairly universally appreciated scent. Not too perfumy, not overly herbal or cologne-like. It's a woodsy, natural smell like a light essential oil.

This smells amazing

I absolutely love the smell of this thing. I just think 6 oz. Is a bit small for $16.50 so I deducted a star for price. Everything else you can say that’s great about a scent is in this candle. Particularly the cypress blends particularly well with the touch of lavender. 4 stars.

good concept, not the best performance

soy-based and essential oil-powered scent - two desirable properties for a candle in this household, especially at a decent price point. All marketing aside, the scent is light and doesnt travel far - may be suited for a small space. Scent is as described if you go close enough to get your hair on fire (dont do this, please). Really wanted to like this line, but at this price point, this is not a compelling value. Packaging is all recyclable but makes you feel a bit guilty for all the single-use wrappers.

Smells lovely, burns quickly.

WoodWick's Renew Candle came very nicely packaged and protected. The packaging contained no plastics. The candle arrived undamaged. The candle comes in a dark amber glass jar with a cork cap. The candle is small, but very nicely made. The wood wick takes longer to ignite than a traditional wick, but once started I had no issues. The candle burns cleanly and evenly. The fragrance is a lovely combination of sweet and earthly. It is noticeable in the room, but not overpowering. I found the candle to burn more quickly than most. I appreciate that the wood wick doesn't need to be trimmed with scissors, and that you can just remove the excess with your fingers. All in all... a lovely candle.

Smells divine but burns irregularly

The media could not be loaded. This product smells amazing! I burned this candle in my dining area, I could smell the strong aroma of lavender after three hours of burning. But the only defect is that the candle doesn’t burn well, and for the first three hours there was no aroma. I think the scent has to build up since this is a small (6 Oz) candle. I had to relight twice during the first hour even though there was no draft nearby. The wick is of poor quality, but the scent is perfectly balanced, and it is not too strong. I love the lavender aroma and this candle burned for over 40 hours.
