Bigger than I expected.

So far, so good. Arrived about a week ago and works as intended so far. Agree with other reviewers that real leather would be a nice feature at this price point but, for something that’s just going to sit on a shelf, I think long-term functionality is more important. It’s bigger than I realized because the pictures don’t have much for scale. Will update review if we have any quality issues later.

On time, every time!

I travel for work and the battery function, as well as the various adaptotors to aid in international travel helps me keep my IWC Pilot, Oris Divers and Rolex Sub all ontime. If it was smaller that would be brilliant, but this will do for now.

A must have for automatic watches

I finally got an automatic watch, and I don't plan on wearing it every day so I know it would be helpful to have a watch winder. I've always heard good things about Wolf Designs' products, but was a little put off by the cost. It was on my Amazon wish list over Christmas but nobody bought it for me. My mother-in-law asked me why I didn't get one from a particular store she had shopped at. I went to look at it and it seemed to be pretty decent quality, although not a nice as the Wolf winder. For just $40 I figured I could try it. Big mistake. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, put my watch in it, and turned it on. It made less than one full revolution and it stopped. I turned it on and off several times and the cylinder wouldn't move. I returned it to the store as defective and got my money back. I knew I needed to get a better unit and that I get what I pay for. I ordered the Wolf Designs winder and have been using it since January (7 months). It has performed flawlessly. The motor is completely quiet. I have it next to my bed and I can't hear a thing when I'm trying to sleep. There is an insert which holds your watch and snaps into the cylinder, securely holding your watch in place. The insert is spring-loaded so you can use it with watches with bracelet or strap of practically any size. With a three-position switch, it will run for a while either clockwise, counter-clockwise, or in both directions, then "sleep" for several hours so it doesn't overwind your watch. A intermittently-blinking LED lets you know it's on even when the cylinder is not turning. I already have aWolf Designs 4583029 5 Piece Watch Storage Box and this winder matches it exactly. There are several other variants, one being the same but with brown leather, as well as ones without the door. An interesting note, this item comes with an A/C adapter but can also run on batteries. It also comes with a nice cloth pouch to carry it in if you're so inclined to take it with you on a trip. I'll probably not do that, but it's a nice option to have.

Top-Verarbeitung, im Betrieb unhörbar!

Das wichtigste Kriterium, neben der eigentlichen Uhrenbeweger-Funktion, ist die Lautlosigkeit, mit der der Beweger seine Aufgabe erfüllt - oder eben nicht. Eine "Krachkiste" hätte ich nicht ertragen. Der "Wolf Designs" dagegen ist akustisch nicht wahrnehmbar. Wäre da nicht die grün blinkende Funktions-LED (es würde allerdings noch ruhiger wirken, wäre diese permanent aktiv), hätte ich zeitweilig gar nicht mehr bemerkt, daß das Gerät noch arbeitet. Im dritten der vorgegebenen Programme (eines für nur Linksdrehung, eines für nur Rechtsdrehung und das dritte für eine Kombination beider, mit entsprechender Ruhepause von 18 Std.) war der Unterschied zwischen Ruhezustand und Aktivität nur optisch zu erkennen. Top!

Quiet as can be

Great watch winder. You don't even hear it running. Only thing I was upset with when I turned it upside down their was a sticker that said made in China... For some reason I thought it was made in USA.. Would have been happier if it was not made there.

Anyone looking for an excellent watch winder then they should consider this Wolf Designs one. Works great, super quiet and the quality is just amazing! Would definitely recommend this one for your Automatic Watches. Cant go wrong with Wolf Designs!!!
