Drawer knob

I redid a a piece of furniture and made it into a side table for my hubby. I thought how cool to have a drawer knob with a dual purpose, so I purchased this and I have to say it looks nice, imo. I'm not done with the project yet, it's a work in progress lol. I put on the casters and bottle opener/drawer knob a little bit ago. I will update later as to how its use as a bottle opener is, after he gets a chance to use it.

Yes, it opens bottles

There's something about this bottle opener, the way it is designed, that makes you have to have the bottle at a 90 degree angle to the wall when you use it. With the liquid inside now being at the top of the bottle, it's fairly guaranteed that the bottle will spurt and spit when the cap comes off. As a fix, I'm considering adding a 45 degree wedge of wood to tilt it out. For the price, I guess I got what I paid for.

I like it!

Its decent but a little odd in shape.... I like the product it does what its suppose too do. good metal and not cheap china made pot metal. the mailing time was good as well. I DO recommend it.

It doesn't work. Seems simple enough, but the design is flawed

When mounted, it forces the beer to be turned on its side and Spills when you open it. Pathetic design

Operator error !!

I posted the write up below originally - but it turns out I was using the opener wrong. I changed the angle that I inserted the bottle and the problem stopped. Now when I have friends over I catch them making the same mistake I originally did. Makes a mess but good for a laugh. Every bottle I open acts like I shook it up and discharged lots of foamy liquid (when beverage is carbonated). The design has you hold the bottle horizontal when you start to open it. I am going to remount mine under the bar for a vertical opening angle. This should be marketed as an under the counter opener instead of wall mounted.
