Don’t work for cake layering

These are great little pans. But if you’re buying them to stack up for a double layer cake like I was, they don’t work. They’re angled & the bottom is smaller that the top.

Very nice product

I haven't bought a nice cake pan ever before in my life. Wow! Worth every penny. I made 4 cakes in them and they came out perfectly. They baked evenly. I am so pleased. I don't bake much but these pans could make me bake more often. I didn't want a large cake and this size is perfect. I turned my oven down about 25 degrees and let them back about 10 minutes longer. What a success! Nice high cake and slices are a good size for everyone's dieting.

Sides aren't straight if you are making a layer cake...

Sides are not Straight like the description clearly states! I got two of these to make a tall layer cake but since the sides aren't straight it won't work to stack two layers because there will be some overhang. The pan itself is fine but the description is wrong :(

I bought the 6" size for recipes suitable for two people. Tried an Apple Upside Down Cake and it turned out (literally!) beautiful. It baked evenly and, following the recipe instructions to the letter, I was able to turn the cake out without any problem. I expect to use this pan quite a bit in the future.

Great alternative if you can't really eat a big cake

Perfect size for small birthday cakes. One box of mix will make two of these smaller rounds. We watch our caloric intake, so making or bringing home a big cake winds up creating a lot of regrettable waste if we toss it (or waist, if we eat it). ;-)

angled edges- not good for layer cakes.

This cake pan does not have straight edges, making it less than ideal for cake, especially if you want to stack layers. i used it because it was all i had, but then had to trim the sides to make a straight edge, but in edition to not being able to get a perfect circle that way, my edges were all crumby making frosting difficult and as the bottom (narrowest part of the pan) only measures a little over 5 inches (not 6), my cake was much smaller than anticipated.

Great size

These were the perfect size for a smash cake. They are a bit deep, so you can always use less batter or trim to the desirable depth.

Angled sides

Great cake pan, but why oh why are these angled?? The angled sides make it such a pain to get a straight edge on a layer cake.

Not worth it.

These pans taper at the bottom and are absolutely useless for creating a straight edge cake. I wish they showed that in the pictures before I purchased. They do however make it really easy for a cake to come out clean, just don't expect to make a perfect straight edge cake with these pans.

These pans work great for creating multi-layered cakes. I've recently gotten into baking layered cakes so this size is perfect for sharing with friends without feeling like you've overindulged.

This pan does not have straight sides!

The description for this pan says "2-Inch high handcrafted straight sides". The sides are not straight, instead they taper from a 5" diameter on the bottom to 6" diameter at the top. If you were going to make a multi-tiered cake, it would not have straight sides at all! No wonder the price is so low... I am returning this right away.
