Wind
I filled mine with water for now. Even with 60 mph wind gusts and on an elevated deck it stays put. No worrying that I will find it in my pool now.

Hard to fill with sand.
The fill port is one side facing in so it won't be seen, which is nice, but it's on one side of the humped area that goes over the legs of the base of the umbrella. If you're filling it with sand, it's very hard to get the sand to go around the hump and fill the other side completely. If the sand is even the slightest bit damp, it's impossible to completely fill, so make sure it is completely dry. Another port on the other side would make it much easier to get both sides completely filled. I spent about a half an hour or so filling each one, turning it and shaking the sand around to fill the other side. Other than that, they are great.

Good weighted base for the right base bracket
I purchased an umbrella and this base turned out to be perfect for it. I filled mine with both sand and water. I've seen people give low reviews because they don't know how to add the sand to the bases. I'll share a tip I read on another. Get a funnel, then get an empty 2 liter bottle and cut it in half. Put the funnel in the base first, then the nozzle half of the 2 Liter bottle in the funnel (nozzle faced down into the funnel). Then, add sand to the 2 liter bottle a scoop at a time and add water to it after each scoop. The water will wash the sand into the base. I would recommend fine sand as it will be much easier to get in the base. I used playground sand which has rocks big enough to block the funnel now and then. Fine sand should not have this issue. Then once it's full, screw the cap on and you have a heavy base. Also, each base corner had a rattling piece inside. I think it's just from the punched hole in the mold. No big deal. So far so good for me. I'll update my review if it's changes.

Big and ugly
We bought a wikiwiki cantilevered umbrella to provide noon and early afternoon shade over a concrete swim spa. There was only one place it could go, and there was not an excess of concrete patio for it to sit on. The best I can say is that these work for stabilizing the wikiwiki cantilever umbrella, which some universal weights might not, due to the umbrella's foot pedal release for rotating the unit. These things are big brown plastic things that make the base even larger than the cross brace included with the umbrella. Like I said, big and ugly. Also, a pain to fill with sand (a sand and water slurry helps make it possible, by the way.) The big plastic blocks don't seem sturdy enough to walk on (and I'm pretty sure they're not), so if they're in a traffic area, it is a long way around. In our case, the base completely filled the space between a spa wall and the edge of the concrete deck and stuck out about 10 inches into the grass, forcing a walk around through the grass, so we ended up adding stepping stones to support the plastic block in the grass and provide a path around the thing. And that was using only three of the four plastic blocks, so we could get the stand 8 inches closer to the spa wall. It works, but it is really ugly. In all honesty, this system of securing an otherwise completely unstable umbrella made me regret even getting a cantilevered umbrella, which in combination with this base has essentially become almost an eyesore!

This umbrella base works great with sand and water added together :)
Our first purchases for our new backyard are a small patio set and a cantilever umbrella, along with this umbrella base and a Bluetooth light with speaker - all from Wikiwiki. We are thrilled with all three Wikiwiki products! We filled the umbrella base with both sand and water and it holds the umbrella in place very well, even with the strong breezes we get in our backyard. The base consists of 4 separate pieces that are easy to fill and place. We filled ours with about 1/3 water and 2/3 fine sand and used a funnel to more easily pass the sand through the opening. If you need to move the umbrella, you can easily move each piece of the base to relocate your umbrella. We are very happy with the umbrella, base, and speaker/light - so much that we are purchasing another set - and will purchase a third set, if needed after the backyard is completed! We highly recommend these Wikiwiki products. Wikiwiki provided us with their telephone and email contacts in the product packaging. We already reached out to let them know how much we like the products and they responded immediately.

Good but not great
Solid product which holds the weight. My issue is the product slides on the composite deck pretty easily even under mild/moderate winds. The 4 pieces don’t fit together perfectly so I see a little gap which annoys me. Kind of expensive. I might’ve gone with a much cheaper option if I would have known it wasn’t going to look perfect.

Very durable umbrella.
I got the upgraded model 3-1/2 months ago and it's stood up well to the wind and weather. It's very easy to roll up and down and adjust. We love it in our backyard by our sofa and dining table.
