kinked and coiled before packaging
First of all, I would like to thank the people who responded to my question regarding the packaging of the hose that they purchased. The 12' hose that I purchased arrived in a sealed plastic bag marked "Whirlpool Corporation Factory Certified Parts." The hose had been folded in half (kinked, no bend radius) before being coiled, twist tied, and sealed in the bag. The kink created a soft spot in the middle of the hose. I bought the hose to replace two 6' hoses that were coupled in a location that would be problematic if a leak occurred, and since I did not have any information on the stress/strain characteristics of the hose material I was reluctant to use it. I talked to Whirlpool about the packaging of the hose and they referred me to Amazon for a replacement. Fortunately, the Amazon replacement process is straightforward and efficient. Another product reviewer here described a defective hose that leaked. I suppose that defects can slip past quality control, but kinking a hose in half before coiling it is not an accident and defies common sense. Update: I received the replacement hose and it is kinked just as the first one was. I did not open the bag and took the attached photo. Amazon is replacing it again. If the next one is kinked I will get a refund instead of a replacement. Update: The second replacement was kinked in the bag, as the first replacement was. Amazon is giving me a refund. At this time, there are apparently 2 left in stock. I might try again later if the inventory turns over. While looking at other dishwasher hoses I came across a review for a hose with stainless steel braid that the reviewer was replacing because it leaked after they kinked it. This reinforced my decision not to gamble on a kinked hose.

I had a lots of cabinet space between my dishwasher and my sink. This 12 foot supply line made it work for me.

Satisfied customer
Works great with no leaks... Needed the extra length due to a couple of cabinets between the dishwasher and sink plumbing. I also purchased the Whirlpool 3385556 Drain Hose on Amazon due to the additional distance (length). My tall tub dishwasher fills and drains just like it is supposed to. I was able to buy everything I needed at Amazon for my dishwasher conversion and everything worked out great.

No more leaks! Long enough to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet.
The Bosch dishwasher had a water inlet fitting in a size that made it difficult to transition to a standard size stopcock on the hot water line. Replaced the existing fitting with the one that came with this, had ample length in the hose (12') to hook everything up with the machine pulled out of the cabinet, it's flexible enough to fit behind the machine without kinking, and NO LEAKS! Hope it holds up well (some braided hose doesn't). Very pleased.

Pretty good.
Needed to find a 12ft dishwasher, hose, and it seems that no one is making them. I didn't want to take a chance of leakage by connecting two 6ft hoses together. Its nice design, very flexible.

Good find
When we were changing out our dishwasher, I had difficulty finding a hose this long. This one fit the bill beautifully. Other reviews mentioned that the hose is bent when packaged, which I found to be the case, however it does not appear to affect the functionality in anyway. I found it an excellent bargain , and well constructed.

piece of cake to install. and, much more reliable than the cheap copper tubing our developer installed. the long length is great, since our dishwasher is on a different counter than our sink.

We needed a long dishwasher hose and couldn't find it anywhere else. Fits the bill. But be aware that there will be additional duties charge.
