Does what it's supposed to!
This official kit from whirlpool works great and came with everything I needed to make it so I could plug it in instead of hardwiring the dishwasher. Recommend!

This is the recomended cord.
This is the cord that should be used for the dishwasher. Maytag specifies on the label by the termination box that you use 105 deg. C wire, this cord is rated at 105 deg. C. It has a straight plug so no matter if your receptacle ground is on the bottom or the top you can plug it in. It comes with a 1/2" Romex box connector for proper strain relief at the termination box. Note that a 1/2" box connector fits in a 7/8" knockout hole. It also comes with the proper wire nuts and the ends of the color coded black and white wires are tinned. The green ground wire has a ring terminal for the green screw in the termination box. This is a very nice good quality cord set and the proper one to use for the dishwasher.

missing the strain relief
Photo clearly shows the strain relief, description says so too. Read the prior reviews in which the stress relief part seemed to not be in the bag. I ordered it as it was $10+ on Amazon with shipping included. That's a whole lot cheaper than paying Sears $28 or waiting for 10 days for it to ordered at Lowes or Home Depot. It showed up early (thank you Seller!) and the bag was not previously opened. But, no strain relief. It's definitely OEM product, so go figure. The instruction paperwork inside even stated that the strain relief is part of the kit. Luckily, I had my old dishwasher sitting in the garage waiting for the citywide cleanup. I just unscrewed the stress relief from it and used it on the new washer. Probably could have used the whole old powercord, but after dropping $1000 on a dishwasher, I think another $10 might not be an unwise decision. I could have called the Seller about it, but since I knew I had the old part in the garage, I chose to spend 3 minutes getting the part myself versus spending 3+ minutes on a phone call. (I don't ask for drivng instructions either.)

Works great
Worked just like it was supposed to. My husband installed this, and he does not do handyman type work at all. Using the directions in the dishwasher package he was able to install these pieces (since they worked perfectly with what was called for) without trouble. They do what they say and they fit where they say they will. Overall, that's what matters with something like this.

Something that's actually easy???
Installed on my new Whirlpool WDT720PADM and things are working flawlessly. Note: Install this cord BEFORE you try to attach other pipes and such since I ended up losing a little time detaching pipes since the box you install it in may not be easily accessible with the unit feet down (I had to get the dishwasher on its back for easy access).

Still missing parts!
I got this kit because it's the one Whirlpool recommended for my dishwasher. It IS the power cord, but it's still missing the 3/8 inch 90 degree elbow with NPT external pipe threads and the 3/8 inch flexible braided water supply line. This is larger than the standard 1/2 inch! You will not be able to use an old one. If you don't have an air vent, you'll also have to purchase one.

Timesaver
This item saved a lot of time when we renovated our kitchen and did a dishwasher installation for the first time. The electrician was used to hard wiring it, but thought this was great and it saved not only time but money since the cost of using an electrician is usually based on time as well.
