Easy install, Cheaps Out in Some Areas.
I had a few fans with no lights, and got a couple of these to add on. It was surprisingly simple to install, even though the fans were a different brand (Hampton bay). The color matches up pretty decently, and the glass light covers are a nice touch. Overall I am pretty happy with this. There are three drawbacks. One, I had to strip the wires and use a wire nut to connect one of these kits; these wires are either steel or aluminum, not copper, and it was difficult to strip the wires without damaging the strands. The second time around I managed to get the built-in connectors to attach, so this might be a non-issue in most cases. Second drawback is the hilariously bad pull string that comes with this. It is basically a flimsy, thin piece of yarn; you will want to pick up a pull chain for sure; for a $40+ product they should have tossed in a chain. Last issue, one of my kits shipped with a broken light cover, and working with the vendor to get it replaced is pretty slow. I sent all my info over and have yet to get info on how/when it can be replaced. I would check all your parts before you start the install, and just return and replace it if something is broken.

WORKED OUT GREAT BUT…
This worked out great, but they don’t seem as universal as stated in the information. My son-in-law had to readjust them and I believe we had to use different screws than the ones that came with the fan. More importantly, he had to drill some extra holes to put them in,. This light did work out great in the end. They look really nice.

It worked
My Hunter Fan model 51038 candles lights stopped working after waiting for two hours I told the Hunter’s support person that the candle bulb entry point was damaged he said buy a new fan since they do not have the light kit in stock. Since the rest of the fan is in really good shape I decided to order the Westinghouse ceiling fan LED light kit. I installed the light kit, the fan light it still did not work did some research other people replaced the wattage limiter. So, I ordered a wattage limiter (UXCELL Normal temperature switch) from Amazon this fix the light problem. The LED bulbs that came are so much better than the original candle lights. I ordered a second unit for another bedroom’s fan

I was glad to have a ceiling light in my bed room again
my ceiling light short out and had to be replaced.I had to pay someone to replace it so the price I paid for the light was a great deal especially since i am a 74 yr old lady living along on social security.The light looks great in my bedroom.

Color Mismatch
This review is written solely on the color as I have not installed the light fixture as of yet. This is my second time ordering this light kit as I returned the first one because it showed up looking more black than oil rubbed bronze. The color doesn’t match the picture on the description or on the box. It doesn’t even match the oil rubbed bronze blade holders I purchased from the same company. How the colors from the same company can be a mismatch, I do not know, but I give up. I’m just going to go with it.

Easy Update
Was looking for replacing our bowl ceiling light fan with a brighter alternative. The fans are about 13 years old, great condition, and was not looking to replace the whole thing to get more lights (read lumens) in our finished room over the garage. This was the cheapest I could find without it just making more sense to do just that. So far, could not be happier. We already had the cap on the fan which allows this to mount directly with no modification. I've done some homeowner electrical but this was by far the easiest as long as your fan has the light wires already there. It may be a "cheap" but you can't tell once it is on the fan. Definitely worth the money.
