Almost Perfect For Hanging My Heavy Rain Lamps, Almost The Same Set I Used 25+ Years Ago, Great Quality

I rebuild rain lamps and recently I had to to rebuild one that somebody had lost/removed the original 10ft+ chain and replace it with a 3 ft chain which was basically useless. This kit saved the day, it was heavy duty, long enough to loop once and run down a wall from the ceiling. The color was almost exactly as the original and the only reason I don't give this 5 Stars is that the individual chain loops almost did not really allow the switch to be used if you mounted it before you threaded the chain. I had to actually stretch a couple of them a minute amount to get it through, should be a warning attached that says "DO NOT INSTALL SWITCH UNTIL YOU HAVE THREADED THE CORD THROUGH THE CHAIN" which would have saved me some time. I should mention that if you are looking for some decent hooks for hanging lamps up to about 25-30 lbs I recommend these, worked perfectly and looking exactly like the ones I bought 25+ years agoWestinghouse Lighting Corp 70454 2PK 1-1/2-Inch Swag Hook, Oil Rubbed Bronze but I should mention that since this kit is the same manufacturer (Westinghouse) you get a set of these with this kit so this is about as good a quality kit as you will find and nobody at the local Lowe's or Home Depot sold a kit with a 12 ft chain in it.

Good set good price

Got this to replace the wire, Chain, and hooks for an antique hanging lamp. Color and design were great. Easy to wire and install EXCEPT for the rotary switch. The diagram is not very good and not having replaced a rotary switch I was a bit in the dark. Tried several times to install the switch to mo avail. Finally found an identical switch on Amazon that had a good diagram of how to install the wires in the switch. 10 minutes later it's in and works fine.

I do a lot or rewiring projects and this kit is quite complete to in line switch and ceiling hooks.

Very sturdy setup that looks good installed

This is an item that makes hanging light fixtures in difficult locations quite easy. It does require some very limited electrical wiring knowledge and working from a ladder to hang the fixture. The kit is complete except for any hangers needed to route the chain. Looks good when installed.

Lightweight chain

The kit was ok but the colors were strange. Not really an antique bronze or brass and the brown wire was out of place. Returned.

The chain was good but the inline switch was not acceptable. Went to hardware store and purchased a switch I could work with.

I can say that this product was exactly what they were looking for and has worked perfectly since they installed it. And the price was good. They couldn't find a place handy to home where they could purchase one of these kits so they were very pleased to get it.
