Just not bright enough for what we need

We purchased two and they work as intended. Installation was pretty easy. We were using them in a small pantry (that had a pull-chain bulb), and also our walk-in closet. 650 lumens is about a 40w equivalent, and it's just really not enough for a closet. Maybe sufficient for the pantry. 650 lumens is about as bright as my desk lamp bulb. I guess I was expecting the fixture to be a bit more useful in terms of light output. Otherwise functions fine fine and a great alternative to "pull chain" activated lights that aren't on a switch.

2 minute install to replace a can light in pantry

Was looking for an automatic light for our pantry. Was considering a door sensor but that would have been expensive and hard to conceal. Ordered a light switch with motion sensor - turned out the current switch only hat the hot wire to and from - the motion switch needs neutral in the wall box as well. This little guy did the trick: I ordered a bunk socket to cable adapter (see pictures), removed the bulb in the can light and to my surprise I was able to press-fit this guy into the existing can light trim ring —- that was easy! It comes on right when I open the door and stays on for exactly 5 mins after I leave the pantry and close the door. Light level is great for the pantry. This was one of the cheapest home automation projects.

Perfect for a bathroom.

The master bathroom light switch is behind the door. The fan switch is by the door. I've lived here over two years and still am not used to that arrangement. If I have guests, I have to run ahead of them and turn the light on for them. Instead of pulling wire and all that mess to solve the problem, I installed this light and keep the switch behind the door on. Perfect! It comes on when I'm a few feet away from the door and goes off a couple of minutes after I leave. It stays on while I'm in the shower because I'm moving. If it goes off while I'm in the bathroom, I just wave and it comes back on. The light is just the right brightness. $20 solution to an aggravating problem.

Excellent closet light

This light replaced q celling light with a pull cord, which cord broke after several years of usage. Installation was easy for someone familiar with electrical work, otherwise ask an electrician. I installed it in a small closet with my washer and dryer in it. Now when I open the door, the light automatically turns on and 5 minutes ON time is more than enough for me. Brightness is very good and motion detection sensitivity is good. Overall, I am happy with this product.

Stays on longer than I like.

The only problem I have with the light is that is stays on for four minutes. For some that may be a plus. But, since I put it in a coat closet it only needed to be on for just seconds. It was advertised to stay on for just seconds.

great,simple little light.

replaced the ceiling fixture with this light in my pool pump room.pool guys would leave the old standard light bulb on for days….very expensive. this replaces a 40 watt bulb with 7 watts LED and gives off lots of light.and it is motion sensitive. it turns on when they enter, and off when the guy leaves.really simple to install.

Motion Detection Occasionally Delayed

The light was placed in a small laundry room and occasionally the light is delayed in coming on when the door is opened and it is dark when I enter.

Great closet light

I finally ran power to a dark closet. Great light bought another one for the very back. Motion sensor works well. Instant on stays on for about 5 minutes. Recommend for closet or even hallway

The only working solution for closet lighting?

This is the third product I've purchased to address the issue of having a closet light with a pull off/on string (circuit is always energized, no switch.) I tried a 'radar bulb'--never turned off. I tried a 'motion activated socket'--never turned on unless I got on a ladder and waved my hand beside it. This flush mount light is elegant, and has the perfect sensing: as soon as I open the closet door and reach in, the LED light goes on (stays on for 5 minutes). I have these in tricky closets as they are 9.5' high ceilings and with the all the closet organizers, there's barely room to step in. Essentially the sensor has to be reading almost straight down. It does this perfectly. The light is brighter than a 60w bulb by a fair amount. I think it's 3000k so it's whiter than an incandescent, but not into that blue/white spectrum as clothes colours look normal in this light. These are dead simple to install, just make sure you turn off the breaker first.

Low profile, bright and sensitive.

It is ceiling mounted, very low profile, and easy installation. Motion sensor works good, no complains. Does not have any Time On adjustment.

perfect product for my application

I used this to replace a pull cord light in a storage room. It is perfect as i did not have to install a light switch to replace the pull cord fixture. It is wall mounted, very low profile, unlike the previous fixture which had the bulb sticking out. It is very bright, and unlike many motion detection fixtures, it did not shut on and off every 30 seconds. Perfect, very happy, easy install on the wall and low profile for my application.
