Good light, GREAT customer service.
I really like the look of this item. I ended up putting it into my laundry room after the previous all-LED light ballast died after 1 year. So I decided to stick with bulbs, since that's an easy thing to change. The light looks very nice, it feels solid but isn't heavy. The first one I ordered arrived with broken glass, but Westinghouse had amazing customer service and sent a new one to me within a week. I just wanted to note that the packaging appeared--both times--to be substantial, and should normally not be an issue. I think the package was treated too roughly the first time, causing the issue. But again--Westinghouse customer service did an amazing job getting back in touch with me and making things right. I am very appreciative that they were so polite, quick, and made things right. It's a nice light, honestly, the glass has just enough variety to make it interesting on it's own, and feel a little more premium that you'd normally expect. The thin wire rings are very well-secured, so there's no concern there. Mounting was pretty straightforward, everything got into place easily. Very satisfied with my purchase. I would probably look at Westinghouse first when the time comes to replace some lights in the dining room--the product is good, but their customer service was outstanding, and that's a lost art nowadays.

Not High Quality But Looks Good
We installed this in our screened porch. It looks good but it is not a super high quality fixture. The metal is a bit thin & we had to kind of bend the ribs in order to screw the bottom on. It is a bit tricky/awkward to install because you have to hold the glass & the fixture up while putting on the thumbscrews & bending the ribs. It doesn't just go together nicely like a well-made fixture would. The glass is like a big salad bowl & rests against a rubber gasket. This is good because you don't have more than one piece of glass to contend with & it is more tight which should keep bugs out. The glass is swirled/painted a clean white on the inside. Update 8/2015: We have no bugs inside this light fixture & it's been a buggy summer - we always had some bugs wander in to the old fixture. Yea, less cleaning!

Excellent flush mount replacement
easily replaced the old 80's squarish junk light you can get from home depot for like ten bucks. the little mounting nuts on the underside are pretty standard with these less expensive units - and placing the ring around the tapered bowl-like glass piece takes a little patience as there are four of them and there's nothing holding the glass up but you until they're secure. the little wire rings towards the top were slightly bent but were easily handled back into place and felt sturdy as a thick wire hanger. the wire nuts that came with the fixture are scrawny so I used the original ones that are bigger and bite down on more metal. the wire is not copper but some sort of silver(y) wire. could be better designed from that perspective but its not like i'm going to have to replace bulbs or bend rings everyday and unless I have to replace it because it fails, I'm satisfied with the appearance and won't likely ever see the wires again... placed two CFL screw-in energy saving bulbs that were rated for 60w each but use like 18w a piece. its friggin daylight on my front stoop now. genius. its a much nicer looking fixture than the old utilitarian junk and i'm pleased with how easy it was to swap out. for $42, this is a nice deal.

First one arrived broken - second one looks good
The first one of these arrived with the glass broken. Had to return it and was leery of ordering a second one the same way. But it was a good value and a good looking light. So I took the risk and glad I did. It arrived safely, installed in just minutes. You kind of need two hands - or one wide hand - to get the shade to hold in place while the metal rim is screwed in. Other than that, it's pretty nice.

Looks great but the build could be better
I installed two of these in my open back porch and the breezeway to the garage. They're larger than the lighting fixtures they replaced and look lovely. For the price I paid, a great buy! However, I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for somewhat sturdier metal and thicker glass - both are a little think. Still, that's not something you can tell when it's hanging from a 9 foot ceiling! :)

Looks great indoors too!
I replaced builder-grade lights in our house with these fixtures. They were easy to install as far as lights go, just the normal difficulty of aligning the bracket screws and fitting all the wiring into the box. The glass is beautiful and obscures the light bulbs really well, which was very important to me because I hate seeing light bulbs inside a light fixture except for Edison bulbs. Despite blocking view of the bulbs, they are very bright! I have two 8W LED bulbs inside each fixture and the illumination is super bright. The pictures I've included are during the day and don't quite show how well they light up. At night the fixture really lights up the entire area really well and appears evenly distributed. Just be careful when unpacking, there's lot of fiberglass dust that could irritate your eyes and lungs.

Happy But...
Even though I was content with the item, it arrive used or repackage. In any case it was used and I was just to sick to try and have a discussion about it with Amazon and I needed a light in that area. It looks wonderful...

Great alternative
Bought this because I didn’t like the options at the box stores. Installed it on my front porch. It’s a good size and is interesting to look at. And the price is right. As others have mentioned it’s a little difficult to attach the globe, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. With LEDs, I don’t plan on changing bulbs often. The rest of the fixture was literally the easiest installation I’ve ever done on a ceiling light. Thanks think these would look nice indoors too.

Love it.
Very bright. Love it. The only inconvenient was the insulation material that sprinkled all around and it pinches your fingers and is hard to see and remove. You may want to keep children away when installing, and clean up anu surfaces after.
