FYI It Is a Paperboard Product

If you need this for a non-heavy purpose, it's perfectly acceptable. It's held together with small dowels and 3M glue strips. It was simple to assemble, a 10 year old could do it. I'm using it at the bottom of my linen closet to hold extra toiletries, so it will never move or be taxed beyond it's abilities as a recycled paper product. It is indeed very basic and light duty, and I think I got what I paid for (30 some dollars).

All recycled, it is what it is

Like it says, but take it seriously.... this is a recycled cardboard sticky tape affair. If you kneel on the boards they will dent. However... it can probably hold more than I'm willing to stack on it. Fits cube shelves and is a guilt free, cheap alternative to particle board for the same purpose. Cost is high enough that I'd have expected a tougher plastic coating. It's a 'soft' paper too. I've seen corrugated products tht felt a lot stiffer, and I feel they could get more creative to make load bearing and even something you can push on the side of and it won't just implode. Bucky Fuller made a whole house out of cardboard for disasters and such. So, I'm sure we can make a sleek shelving unit. I'd even go for an untreated brown finish and appearance. Infact... if you were willing to push yourselves just a bit further, 3D printing is a mix of paper and glue and you could make insanely lovely pieces without the 'labor'. We're there now...

This is cardboard...

I really should have read the listing better because where I thought I was getting a reasonably priced particleboard shelf instead turned out to be a wobbly box made of easily dented cardboard. I had to break out my industrial glue gun and gorilla glue sticks to get the cubbies to even kinda work with the materials that would be stored in them. The wodden pegs provided are too short and provide very little help in the way of providing support and structure for the shelf. The 3m glue strips attached were not strong at all (which is shocking in itself) and I used up 3 giant hot glue sticks to get it to work. I would never move this shelf as I'm sure the moment I do it will fall apart BUT it looks nice in my craft closet from afar.

Skeptical at first but totally worth it

My fiance and I were recently at Target looking for shelves for our new apartment, picked up what looked to be a reasonable set, when I noticed a big warning label on the box that warned about formaldehyde and cancer risk. I did some quick research, and yeah, it's an actual thing. I was disappointed to later find out that most cheap furniture like this has the same issue, and has to do with how compact board is manufactured. But a quick Google search for an alternative returned this set, so I decided to at least give it a try, despite some less than stellar reviews. I am happy to say that I really like the product, and even though it is non-traditional, and maybe a little overpriced, I believe it was a great buy. It was easy to assemble, feels sturdy, and is nice and light. The real advantage here is that there is no off gassing (releasing of dangerous chemicals into the air) and the whole thing is sustainably made! If you don't mind paying a little bit more for a safer and environmentally conscious product, then it's definitely worth it. P.S. When assembling, make sure to not remove the adhesive strips from the boards when removing the paper strips. I did this to a few of them, so will need to apply some glue where the adhesive is missing.

It is exactly what it says it is

I am so glad I did not read reviews before purchasing this. I had very specific dimensions that it had to fit in, and I wanted white. It is a light weight product, it is put together with sticky tape and dowels, and it is awesome! If you read what the product as you will not be disappointed. So glad I ordered it, wish it came in more colors for other areas of the home.

Easy to assemble but not great quality

Easy to assemble but have to slide it otherwise it comes apart. Not worth the money. Maybe if it was $25-$30.

Terrible! Cheap & poor quality!!!

The shelves hold together by extremely thin & weak 3M tape. Pre drilled holes do not hold the cheap plastic pegs sturdy at all. Every shelf wobbled & shock while trying to put it together. Once the top was on, the whole thing collapsed onto itself. A few corners got damaged in the process. I wouldn’t pay $10.00 for this cheap 4 Cubby. Save your money or buy a big bottled of Gorilla Glue!!! I’m returning immediately!!!

Not worth the money

Qualité faible

Pas dure à assembler mais de très faible qualité. J'ai dû mettre de la colle dans tous les trous et mettre de la pesanteur dans les coins pour l'aider à coller. Le produit est très léger car c'est du papier et non du bois entre les mélamines. Je ne recommande pas. Je ne peux malheureusement retourner car j'ai jeté la boite. Je suis très déçu pour le prix
