YOU MUST REMOVE THE WATER SAVING INSERT

Let's face one thing about this product. It's 30 bucks. This type of shower head would easlily go for $70-$80 or more if it were made of metal and higher quality components. But you wouldn't probably wouldn't have considered buying it for that price. So on with the review... I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. Very easy to install, however, if you want the full "rain shower" effect, YOU MUST REMOVE THE WATER SAVING INSERT inside the shower wand. It is located in the section that attaches to the water inlet pipe coming out of your wall, NOT in the shower head. It is white in color and has a little flange that can easily be grabbed with a small pair of pliers and turned out counter-clockwise, or even with your fingers if you have fairly strong hands. It looks like a tiny filter screen when you pull it out. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the ball-swivel section attaching to the water inlet pipe leaked just a tiny bit. As in occasional drops at full pressure but nothing you will even notice while showering. I just happen to be a contractor and notice stupid things like this. I used teflon tape on both pairs of threads (one on water inlet pipe and one where the shower head attaches) but the problem is in the ball swivel design. They would have needed to use a metal ball swivel, a higher quality nylon swivel base, and probably a metal flang nut in order to alleviate this problem. However, then it wouldn't be 30 bucks! Otherwise, great product for the price. It's especially great becasue the water is going straight down if you want it to, and it's easy to step back and do whatever you have to do without adjusting the shower head.

Good Shower head

The media could not be loaded. I purchased and install this shower head In my guess bathroom. The installation was pretty straight forward. 1. Remove old shower head 2. Place wing nut over shower pipe 3. Screw pivot ball onto shower pipe 4. Tighten wing nut to shower arm/shower head 5. Done The shower head is made from plastic with a faux chrome finish. The material is well made and it appears that it may last a few years. The shower head measures just a little bit over 6 inches. However, the diameter for the circle of spray nozzles is 108mm or 4.25 inches . I have attached pictures as reference. The water pressure in my bathroom is pretty strong, yet the shower head seems kind of weak. Don't get me wrong it does a good job and it is one of the best shower heads I have owned, I just expected more force from the water. I think the water hole in the shower head could have been just a tad bigger to give it more of a drenching feel. I have attached a short video to demonstrate the flow. overall I am happy with the purchase. Edit: 07/18/2012 In order to get this to be more drenching you will need to remove the flow restrictor in the shower head. If you look down the hole where the pipe fits on the shower head you will see this small brown plastic thing. Just use a screw drive or something pointy to push/break through and the shower head will now be able to flow more water. I'll upload pics to show what I mean. Do this mod at you own risk.

You get what you pay for.

Just installed this shower head with no problems. I don't have the best water pressure at my house and this shower head doesn't help any. I wouldn't recommend this product to someone that has weaker water pressure. It has a removable flow regulator which I'm assuming is the white plastic piece inside the ball that attaches to the shower pipe. The instructions don't even mention this piece even though it's advertised. Well, I removed it and it doesn't make much if any difference in the water pressure. There is another restrictor that's inside the shower head swivel that some people are drilling out but I haven't gone that far yet. If you take out the removable flow regulator don't forget to put the gasket back inside the piece before reinstalling it to the shower pipe. It'll for surely leak without the gasket. Other than the weak pressure this shower head provides it looks pretty good. I think the attachment between the arm and shower pipe could be more secure. I had to reposition the angle of the arm when tightening it together so it wouldn't leak as well. I dunno.. a lot of things could be better with it but it's only $30. Update: I ended up having to use Teflon tape around the ring that attaches the arm to the shower pipe because it was leaking when I went to shower the next day. It advertises "No Teflon tape needed!" Haha, yeah well I say go ahead and use it and then don't worry about it. I also broke out the other water restrictor in the shower head itself. I popped it in and then was able to remove it with a needle nose. Be careful if your doing this to not break it through all the way because then it could possibly get stuck in the shower head. I was worried about that but it broke out fairly easy and wasn't too hard to completely remove. The water pressure now is more like it!! Can't wait to use it now with some decent pressure behind it.

Not to strong not to weak, just right, had similar rain shower heads before, this one is nice and easy to install, looks great and the extra hight in the shower is wonderful when you're 6'2" and finally you don't have to bend over to wash your hair

This showerhead was at a nice hotel we stayed at so found it on Amazon, ordered it and am totally pleased.It has just the right amount of pressure and it extends out far enough and high enough that I dont have to bend to get under it.Hopefully it lasts a long while.
