A bit heavy but will last forever
Not as light as wood but easy to clean and will last forever.

Good quality, quite light though
There isn't much to say about this crepe spreader; it's basically a metal stick. But it is a well-made metal stick, I can't see any reason it would fail or break. Size is about right, but it is not meant for crepe pans or griddle pans (unless you have rimless ones). This is meant for proper crepe machines (e.g. Krampouz) without a rim which will hamper your movements, and which offer a larger surface area than your average retail crepe pan. It does feel much lighter than you would expect from solid stainless steel though, so either it is not stainless steel, or it is hollow. I do not know how to find out which explanation is correct other than hacking it apart which I'm not going to do. What I do know is that a magnet does not stick to it, but not all stainless steel is magnetic. What the light weight does mean though, is that this is less likely to sink into your partially cooked crepe batter and tear it (though it happens if you don't spread the batter fast enough). Some batter does stick to the spreader after each use, but this is easily fixed by keeping a small tray with water beside your crepe making station to rinse the spreader after each use. Just shake it around a bit before using it to get rid of most of the water, and you're good to go. The water will also help the spreader glide and not stick to the batter as quickly.

Not made of Stainless Steel
This crepe spreader is NOT made of stainless steel. When I pulled it from the box, I noticed its light weight; too light!! I have years of experience sailing on a boat where the metal components are made from stainless steel to prevent corrosion. Some components are made from aluminum. I know the difference. I also have stainless steel kitchen gadgets because that are the only metal ones that are dishwasher safe. I did some research and discovered the average density of stainless steel alloys vary between 7.48-8.05 grams per cubic centimeter. I weighed my crepe spreader on a digital postage scale. It weighs 66 grams +/- 2 grams. I measured the length and diameter of the rods that have been welded together to form the spreader. Using the equation for the volume of a cylinder (V=pi*(r)²*h), I calculated a volume of 30.35 cubic centimeters. Lengths are 26.8 cm long and 20.9 cm across, diameter is 0.9 cm. Dividing the weight by the volume gave me a density of 2.2 grams per cubic centimeter (compared to 7.5-8 for stainless steel). Coincidently, the density of aluminum alloys vary between 2.7-2.9 grams/cubic centimeter. This was a lot of money to pay for aluminum. The worst part is that the spreader is probably not dishwasher safe. Beyond that, it seems well made and will probably last me several years or decades. Because it is so light weight, it will be less damaging to my Teflon crepe pan if I accidentally scrape the cooking surface. I'm going to only wash it by hand.

Crepe Batter Spreader - Highly Recommended
I purchased a crepe maker and the Amazon reviews mentioned it wise to get a larger sized batter spreader than was provided in the box. This was good advice and this CAC-107 stainless steel crepe batter spreader is perfect for my needs. The spatula is extremely high quality and great value. It should last for a very long time and will have a fair level of use. Compared to what was provided by the crepe making device manufacturer that was basically a joke, this spreader is "pro quality" and a great size.

Reasonable price and working well. Value for the money but not the best
This Crepe Maker Batter Spreader is a little bit too light and I am still getting used to. It works well but not much control due to the weight. The price was reasonable so overall I am happy.

Parisian crepes!
I became utterly addicted to crepes on my last trip to Paris 3 months ago. I noticed that the street vendors used a product very similar to this one so I decided to buy. It works perfectly. It will last a lot longer than the cheaper wooden ones on the market, so that's why I went with it. Always better to buy a quality product than a cheap one, in my opinion! Haven't regretted this purchase!

Great Crepe Spinner!
I love this crepe spinner! It is durable, easy to clean and so easy to use. It may take a bit to adjust to this from a wooden spinner but after a little practice, you will be spinning crepes like a pro! Just spin with a lighter hand than you might otherwise use. Happy crepe making!

objects may be larger than they appear- but great for cleaning... in dishwasher
very very nice spreader, very sanitary and easy easy to clean. a little too wide for most griddles though. my presto griddle- I can't spin it, can only move it about 60 degrees, but it still works wonderfully.

We make our party guests pick there "paddle" (crepe spreader) to make their own crepes and several people like this one the best
Bought several types of crepe batter spreaders to try. This is the most unique of the bunch (the others are smaller and made of wood). We make our party guests pick there "paddle" (crepe spreader) to make their own crepes and several people like this one the best!
