Great detail and operation loaded or bare.
All good.

I wish I liked them less because they aren't as nice as I want for my layout.
Good cars that don't run too well on Bachmann EZ track for some reason. Switching to bachmann wheels does seem to help. The red brake wheel on this car should be black (like the green Burlington version) but otherwise I like these cars because they have good details and they look cool rolling along. Even with the bachmann wheels though all my Walthers cars are finicky on the bachmann track, so I'm not buying much of this brand anymore. Too bad 'cause I like to build random scratch build loads and haul 'em around on these flatcars. It is fun I guess when they derail and dump the load all over the scene, so there's that to look forward to. My other reviews for these flatcars in other colors explain how some of them freaked out and what I did to try to fix the derails. The floating pins that hold the trucks on for these Walthers cars are a bad design in my opinion, hot gluing them in place doesn't always fix the issue either.

Nice Flat Car for the Price
It's a good car overall; the color is very much a mustard yellow, as others mentioned. Also, it is slightly too short to hold a 53' container. The container hangs over both ends slightly, which may cause me to return and go with a well car instead.

Nice Flat Car
This is a nice flat car, especially for the price. It feels heavy but is still lite based on the NMRA formula. On the other hand I haven't purchased any HO rolling stock that is even close. With a flatcar it is pretty much impossible to increase the weight unless you fill in the detail on the bottom with weights to have an unloaded car. The only reasonable way to increase the weight is to add a load. This isn't the fault of the seller and I'm not sure how the manufacturer would increase the weight and keep it prototypical. It rolls well and the coupler height is right on. I'd purchase again.

Grandsons
Grandson demanded it. Ransom submitted. No complaints.

Good details, smooth rolling for a day or two, OK quality for a toy.
I liked these flatcars, they roll nice, the black brake wheel on this one is a winner for me. Cars run good until any surgery performed though, the bottom deforms when you take them apart. Found out the hard way with my orange one. This one still tracks nice and hope I never have to take it apart. They derail constantly after that, haven't figured out how to fix the problem once the trucks are all out of whack because the base deformed. Happy for now... 5 hours later: I take it back. Not happy. The black one won't run now without derailing on turnouts other cars handle with no problem. 2 out of 4 of these cars turned up worthless in less than a week. Look nice though. Took off one star and probably won't be getting Walthers cars anymore. 2nd update: Switched out Bachmann 33" metal wheels and have not had a derail since. Now we know it is the Silly Brand Wars! Stay away from Walthers if you're running Bachmann track, methinks. The wheels are not compatible. Still keeping off two stars for the wheels expense to switch out for a different brand, that costs $4 per car and adds up quick! I did a little research into wheel shape and apparently only a 1/2 degree different taper or a few thousandths of an inch different radius between the "tire" and the inner flange makes a wheel unhappy in one track vs. another. Maybe if I upgrade to Flex Track I'll try Walthers again but for now they are off all my wishlists. Later!

Auto loader, trailer train…
One of the better flat cars purchased and runs well out the box I.e., the couplers work well with kD. Also Well detailed I.e., The build date is mid 60s and the brake wheel is offset.
