Underwhelming at first

When I got this I had it directed at me and I wasn't impressed, however, where it really did well was when I put it in the open window on high speed and had it bringing in cooler air from outside! It was more effective than my Lasko weathershield 20" box fan on low speed with a filter behind it (because of bush fires) (without the filter it would be better) and it has a much smaller form factor! I was able to turn off my ceiling fan, the 20" box fan and just use a standing fan with my evaporative cooler. Before I was using the 20" box fan, plus evaporative cooler, plus standing fan, plus ceiling fan just to get my bedroom at a tolerable temperature.

Small but mighty

This fan is wonderful and worth the $40 price tag. It makes a great sound for sleeping, circulates the air really well. Its small size fits into places easily and is perfect for travel. After years of traveling with a box fan for good sleep I'm so thankful this product works really well and takes up a fraction of our limited trunk space.

Imo, the Flat Panel Air Circulators are the best from Vornado’s current model lineup

The following may seem over the top especially for a fan, but I’m an engineer. These are the things that make me feel validated... I’ve bought and returned a number of Vornado fans, including several Vfan juniors, which in particular are complete crap, with their warped plastic motor mounts and misaligned metal work. God forbid Vornado conducting preventative maintenance and quality checks on their metal fabrication assets. Don’t believe me? I’ll tell you what, order a Vfan Junior and also order any other Vornado fan. After receiving them, compare the differences in packaging. The Vfan Junior is the only fan I’m aware of that uses styrofoam in it’s packaging. Every other Vornado fan seems to use recyclable cardboard. I think that little comparison is a good example of how much corporate greed plays into decision making like decisively exhausting investments, getting away with cutting corners on quality, and not taking continued steps to be environmentally friendly. Vornado seems driven by corporate decision with very little creativity or ingenuity. But who cares, right?? After all; Vornado fans are usually JUST slightly better than Honeywell, allegedly. It’s too bad because I’d like to see DC versions of the Flat Panel Air Circulators. They are well put together, as long as they don’t have the hinges. A Honeywell HT-900 will have better hinges than any plastic made Vornado that has hinges. I’m sorry but Vornado hinged fans, made of plastic are horrid; they’re only made of plastic. Honeywell fans use a metal mechanism that seemingly has greater longevity. The Flat Panel Air Circulators are the few Vornado fans I really like and I don’t think they’ll stay in production for much longer. Later models seem to use thinner plastic and I know they use far fewer screws; relying on plastic clips to hold the grill in place. Stripped plastic threads are easier to fix than a snapped clip. My 573 had something shaking around inside. Taken apart; it’s was just an excess drop of glue. The fan is fine, but there you go, another lack of attention to detail. Vornado is making bank of mediocre effort.

Powerful fan in a small size!

The high setting cools my extremely hot bedroom well in the summer. Medium and low are great for comfortable cooling while I sleep during other seasons. Noise level lower than other fans I own. Very light and easy to move around.

Great Air circulator

This is one of the best Air Circulator Fans I have found. It's made by Vornado. Its compact, powerful, and circulates the air effectively thru-out the room you use it in. I have one in my Bedroom and Livingroom. This fan has 3 controls, Low Med and High, simple but that's all that is really needed. Equipped with a multi directional airflow, so you can adjust the air horizontally or Vertically. Air moves up to 60 feet and has a 5 year hassle free-promise, with customer support if needed.

Great, powerful, little fan.

I absolutely love this fan. It delivers just enough sound for me to fall asleep. It's not at all, loud or annoying. It's very surprisingly powerful for the size, that's for sure. Great small fan that looks good as well.

Great air circulation

I bought this fan for indoor cycling use. I've been surprised by the cooling effect despite apparent low rotation speed and small size. Noise level is not an issue. The only downside is that it's not easy to get the right angle facing upwards when I lay it on the floor.

Good strong air flow.

Strong air flow, compact. The fan blows the air upwards so when you are using it to cool off it works better placed on the floor. If you want to use it up higher you might have to put somethin under the back legs to make the air flow blow on you instead of the ceiling. My big beef is it has no carrying handle it makes it awkward to pick to pick up. It works great for pulling in nice cool air in the window but I have to put a book under the back legs so the air flow is not pointed at the ceiling. Wouldn't buy it again. It's a good fan, with strong air flow, when you use it sitting on the couch or your recliner. I won't buy it again because it doesn't meet my various requirements for a fan.

Powerful, Noisy Boy

I bought this for my kitchen so I could actually have some airflow since my kitchen is very closed-off in my apartment. It works great! It's very powerful on its highest setting, and even the low setting works fairly well. But it's noisy! This is totally fine for me since I only use it in the kitchen when I am cooking or preparing food. If you are looking for air circulation in a quiet space, look elsewhere. You'll never have to guess whether or not this fan is on because it's shouting at you with a righteous fury.

Powerful and quiet!

The fan is being used to circulate air from the house to the sunroom. I wanted a square, smaller profile fan that would stay “wedged” between the low profile windows. This Vornado fits perfectly. It’s quiet and circulates a lot of air! I intend for it to function all year long, and it’s currently helping warm the sunroom. Here’s to it helping cool the space in the summer. Great purchase!

2.5 Years Later... A++

Products rarely impress me these days, but... This Compact, Solidly Constructed ‘Turbine‘ has Surpassed All of my expectations. I received it in February of 2018 and have been running it, almost non-stop, ever since. It has 3 speeds. 1st is very quiet. 2nd is considerably louder. 3rd is pretty loud. That being said, 2 & 3 MOVE AIR. The design is pretty Ingenious and, if used properly, should pay for itself by reducing utility bills.

Small, quiet, powerful, effective.

The media could not be loaded. Only 5 minutes of having this bad boy plugged in and there had been a noticeable improvement. I purchased two, one for the loving room, and one for the bedroom, and the entire house is noticeably cooler by several degrees. I live in the prairies in Canada, and the Summer heat is often unbearable, but these little fans are a complete game changer. I grabbed the smallest size, desperate for at least something to move the air around in my house, because the hood fan wasn't cutting it, and the air in my house is stifling, and they 'blew' away my expectations. There are surprisingly quiet, even on the highest setting, and in a small room, the lowest setting is sufficient for cooling. I also love that the cord can be wrapped behind the legs, and there are jelly stops on multiple locations to allow for different placements if you want to get a specific angle going for optimal air circulation.
