Nice stand
It is a nice stand and easy to assemble. Wish I had paid more attention to the dimensions of the pots/pans it will support. My larger (12 & 15-inch) cast iron pans are too big and will not set in the base properly. Other than that I am completely satisfied with the stand.

Ideal storage in a small area for cast iron ware
I like the compact design which allows for maximum storage. The assembly was a bit tricky. Perhaps they might stamp the letters of the brace strips as there is not much difference in the sizes. Also enlarge the diagram

Great stand, holds all my cast iron
This thing took me about an hour and 15 minutes to assemble myself, and I will say that it was a semi frustrating balancing act. The whole thing is kinda wobbly as I assemble it but when I complete the assembly (before tightening the screws) it is more sturdy, but still wobbly. I then set it on the level kitchen floor, straightened everything out (eyeballing it, though it still looked slanted or leaning, but that may have been an optical illusion cause I used a level and it was fine). Well I pulled out my socket wrenches and a screw driver and got to work on tightening this thing. During this process one of the round screw covers broke off, plus even when using my socket wrench that I fit perfectly to the bolts, there was a decent amount of scratching of the powdered graphite finish (on the screw caps, not on the metal stand itself). There was also only so much I could tighten before the screw and bolt side would turn together. It seemed I could turn as hard as I could with both hands but it just wouldnt get super tight. I believe some sort of stress/pressure washers or even some rubber O-rings would have secured these joints better. Anyway, I assembled it and despite my complaints about not being able to tighten the joints as much as I wanted to, this was a solid and sturdy stand, not tilting or leaning (photo above with the red wall, window, and white fridge). I set it in my kitchen and loaded it up with my cast iron cookware. Bottom shelf was a "Camp Chef" 6 quart dutch oven, just barely fit through the stands opening, though when situated, had a good inch and a half of space all around. Second shelf from the bottom is a Lodge 12 inch skillet. Third shelf is a lodge 10 inch skillet. Fifth shelf from bottom (2nd from top) I am able to fit what claims to be a 9 inch skillet, I forget the brand name, but its a thinner cast iron than lodge. On the top of this I intend to keep a Lodge 6 inch skillet. The Skillets all require a diagonal tilt to fit through the stands opening, but they all sit centered nicely with one to about half an inch of space around the perimeter. Based on the much more expensive options out there, I would get this product instead. It may take a little time to assemble, but I will gladly give that time in order to save hundreds of dollars. Plus, it looks great, functions exactly as advertised, and is currently holding about 70 pounds of solid cast iron. Cant go wrong with that! Update May 2013: I endured a move recently and this shelf made it through unscathed. Still super sturdy, still holds all my cast iron. This was an excellent buy.

Follow The Instructions
I read many of the reviews about the nut-caps separating and other issues. The instructions have you putting the vertical supports on the middle shelf first, then adding the upper and lower levels. Only hand-tighten the screws as little as possible until it’s all together. Then, go back and tighten a bit at a time until it’s level and sturdy. I didn’t have any issues putting it together by myself. It looks great!

Only place & lightly snug bolts at first to adjust legs before final tightening

Holes in upper structure were misaligned- PLEASE check before assembling
I like this Cookware stand. But I am posting this to warn and save others from some frustration. I just got myself an AllClad set of pans and pots, so was determined to keep them safe from scratches. My first two purchases of tabletop stands failed (did not fit pan sizes), so I decided to get this stand. I built it up carefully and after more than an hour of hard work, I had just completed the 5th layer - the second to the last layer, (there are 6) when I discovered the holes had been wrongly drilled and the 5th layer was badly slanting. I was so tired after so much grueling assembly work that I just wanted it to work. So I decided to do the last layer and see if it could be managed. As you will see in the photos- not a hope! The pot on the 5th and 6th layer slant - with the 5th layer in danger of having pans slide off and smash into a child's head. The seller was responsive and has sent a return label. But I'm quite frustrated as I have lost 2 weeks, hard work and dashed expectations. The lesson for everyone: they don't tell you to do this, BUT When you get your package, before you start building as instructed, take a few minutes and lay the long poles side by side. CHECK and verify that the drilled holes are all aligned exactly right. If they are, then start assembling. If not, you have saved your fingers 2 hours of pain, and your mind, a lot of frustration. Assume you are doing the last quality control. Now, I have to start dismounting the entire edifice and repacking it to mail back. I wish I could have just drilled into the metal and kept the stand since I do like it otherwise.

Great for the price
This is a good deal for $53 It's a nice size and fairly sturdy. I am using it to keep my cast iron skillets on. Looks like it will work well, though I will add some thin wood circles to provide a better base for them to sit on. Thinking about buying another. Following the directions was difficult at first. They just aren't formatted in a way that made sense to me visually. That's probably just me. However, all I had to do was look at the picture of the assembled product, and then every piece made perfect sense, and the directions became much easier to follow. It seemed strange that there were enough assembled bolt and cap nut sets for the job, and then 3 or 4 extra cap nuts. I figured out why when I was assembling. If you crank down too tight, the bolt will pop the cap part off. That happened to several of the cap nuts, and I was just using a hand screwdriver. Once I figured it out, it took less than 10 minutes to assemble fully. Overall, I am very happy for the price.

Not made for Lodge dutch ovens
The quality is good but the sizing confuses me. I had planned to use this for my Lodge Dutch Ovens.... The 1qt fit in the top. The 2qt wouldn’t fit on the second shelf but it would wiggle onto the third shelf. The 4qt wouldn’t fit anywhere on the top half (I only placed the top half together for testing). Not sure if the 5,7, or 9 qt would fit anywhere else. I’m not giving this a one star rating because the rack was nice and the quality was good, it just pretty useless if you’re looking for a way to store dutch ovens.

Flimsy.
Bit wobbly. Looks nice but if you bump it watch out! Don’t have this around little kids.

Not as sturdy as I would like
Like other reviewers noted the hardware is cheap. Why? It would add so little to the cost to supply better screws and nuts, it has been a customer complaint for years. Anyways a bit of a hassle putting together, much easier with two people. It is flimsy, but it will hold my heavy cast iron pieces, safely tucked in a corner. For reference pieces are from bottom up 7 qt, 5.7 qt oval and 4 qt, top three shelves are very small only fit a couple of my Sensations bowls.
