Peace of mind..
I wish I'd installed this BEFORE the dishwasher started leaking. The inlet valve had a slow leak. A little googling shows that there are several other dishwasher components that can leak. The water gradually spread under the living room laminate floor and up the drywall. Had to call in a company to dry out the place and then test for mold. After demo and dryout, had to replace the entire floor even though only a few boards were damaged because couldn't match the existing boards - either aesthetically or the interlock style. Also had to replace a few square yards of drywall. Altogether a huge expense and inconvenience for my tenants. Insurance covered repairs, but of course I had to cover the deductible. A silver lining was that the insurance money covered some other upgrades because I did a fair chunk of the work myself, and managed the other work, which took LOTS of hours and many trips across town. Luckily I had cooperative tenants who even re-scheduled a vacation to accommodate repairs. So glad it's over, but the whole mess could have been avoided by this simple tray, which I installed after the repairs. The next time I'll only have to fix the dishwasher.

We use the dishwasher every other day and have an intermittent small mystery leak, maybe a cup of water on tile floor every three weeks. GE repair guy installed new inlet water valve but still has the issue. I've pull the D-washer away from the cabinets and watched it run many times. Even installed some paper towels at suspect areas to try and trace the water. Still no leak source found. My floor seems to be level (and seems this tray is also?). So I shimmed this tray with layers of tape, thicker in back fading to nothing in front, to pitch it for certain. Test install showed the tray pushes back against the wall when the D-washer goes in. In my case, the front feet of D-washer landed on the front edge of this tray. So I put a loose piece of PVC pipe (7/8"OD X 23") along the back wall as a spacer. This keeps the tray pushed forward and thus the feet completely on the tray. I also lined the cabinet walls with plastic sheet (trash bag) and draped it into the tray. So if something does spray water, the cabinets should be safe. I silicone caulked the front edge of this tray to the floor and to the cabinet corners, so a leak won't get under the tray. It would have looked better with clear or dark caulk but this was what was on hand. I left a small gap between the D-washer black toe plate and this tray so water won't have any issue getting out the front. The tray is somewhat flexible and a good thickness. Not ridged and not brittle. 3/4" deeper would have been a perfect for my application but it was easily enough to remedy with the PVC. I would highly recommend this tray to all D-washer owners as cheap insurance against expensive kitchen cabinet repairs. Why no one makes a 5 sided poly-bucket surrounding their dishwasher is a shame. Captain Overkill over and out.

Just the right size
I was in my basement laundry room recently and heard a steady dripping. I found where the water was hitting the basement floor behind some boxes next to a wall and figured out that the source of the water was the kitchen floor above. I peeked under the dishwasher with a flashlight and saw that it was dripping from the water inlet valve. I purchased and replaced the valve and the leak was fixed. However, I wondered what might have happened had this slow leak gone undetected for weeks or months, my kitchen floor slowly rotting away. I first bought a drip pan from the local Home Depot, only to find that it was a bit too wide to fit in the opening in the kitchen cabinets where the dishwasher sits. My search for a narrower pan brought me here to Amazon. The Camco pan was a half-inch narrower and fit the opening perfectly, although I did have to trim a couple half-inch peices from the "lip" on each front corner so I could get the toe-kick panel to fit back on the bottom front of the dishwasher. While the Home Depot pan was a very hard plastic, the Camco pan was softer and had a bit of flex to it. I was able to easily cut what I needed to with a utility knife. Depth-wise, with the pan pushed up against the back wall, there was just enough of the pan sticking out of the front to just overlap my (cheap) kitchen flooring. I was able to work the pan into place without pulling the dishwasher all the way out and didn't have to disconnect any electric wires or hoses. Presumably, if I were to have another leak similar to the one I just had, the water would work its way to the front of the pan (where there is no "lip") and end up on the kitchen floor, where it could easily be seen. That's pretty good peace of mind for 17 bucks.

Essential under built-in dishwasher
Why would we ever NOT place a pan like this under a built-in dishwasher? When our old dishwasher was pulled out prior to installing a new one, we discovered a slow leak from a tubing connection. If we'd only had a pan like this for all those years, the drips of water would easily have been contained and simply evaporated rather than making the subfloor perpetually damp. (That subfloor extends under our hardwood floors, and periodically we noticed effects from the chronic dampness. Big leaks make themselves known very quickly, but it's the little ones that go undiscovered. Well, we won't have a problem like that now. The mat fit perfectly because dishwashers are of a standard size. You just put in on the floor and place the dishwasher on top of it - couldn't be any easier. We're very satisfied with the quality of this mat, its design, value, packaging and promt delivery.

Used for a base to put puppy pee pads on
I’ve done this before as to protect my flooring. I love the concept. I’ve told a lot of people about the different use it marketed as and now I know people doing the same thing. I wash the tray with hot soapy water in my bathtub.

Does what it was meant to do
Arrived on time. It fits most standard size dishwashers and hopefully help me next time the dishwasher leaks. I got caught once! Not again!

Perfect fit
Perfect fit. Installed with new dishwasher and was very happy with the fit and quality. A must in every house. Placed a water alarm as well. Inexpensive protection everyone should have.

Durable plastic with enough flexibility to deal with slightly uneven surfaces.
I used this to work as a drip catch for a small front opening freezer. I made a few notches in the sides to fit it precisely into place between the poles on an ikea stolmen shelving system and sealed the cuts and folds I made so it would remain leak free in those areas. The "Front" of the tray is "open" and will allow condensate to flow out of one side if there is enough volume (where you either are able to see it or also have some water absorbent material in place to catch it before it becomes an issue). I suspect that small amounts of water will just evaporate in most situations without having escaped the tray. For my purposes, this product was a great solution albeit with a few slight modifications. It's well made and appears to be very durable.

Perfect fit. Wrong color.
Product is as described but I ordered a white mat but received a black one. Didn't bother contacting seller as I needed to get the dishwasher back into place and didn't want to wait another 4 or 5 days to do it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

As advertised, does what it is supposed to do
This is a great product for its intended purpose. I see a bunch of reviews stating that it doesn’t contain the water, which is not its purpose. This product works to notify you of potential leaks under your dishwasher and allow you to catch them before they worsen. Place at a very slight angle towards the front of your dishwasher and it will do the job just fine.

Fits great and easy to install
Yanked out the dishwasher, threw it down on the floor and shoved the dishwasher back it. Fit perfectly. I was concerned about the thickness being an issue since my dishwasher cabinet is a pretty tight fit but I had plenty of room. I like the fact it isn't a tray. If the dishwasher leaks, it will redirect any water to the front of the dishwasher and you will probably step in it getting your feet wet. That would then be an indicator of a problem that warrants further investigation.
