This Boot saved my Achilles !!!
Ok, I ordered this product because my Achilles was killing me after some strenuous exercising I should not have been doing. Anyway, I was in PAIN PAIN PAIN. I called my Dr and the receptionist said they were all booked up and I already had an appointment scheduled for the following month. So, I asked to be put on the waiting list and called if a opening came. Well, no call. I was taking Ibuprofen for the pain and swelling for a few days, Then it got worse when I walked on it, so I knew I had to do something. I read about Achilles injuries and from what I was reading I could tell it wasn't torn because I didn't hear a POP, and I could still move my ankle/foot up and down. So I read that immobilization, moderate stretching and pain meds were the only option. So I ordered this boot from Amazon. The previous purchasers answered all my questions which helped. I wanted to wear it over my shoe, so I could drive when I took it off. But that didn't work, so I had send it back and get a smaller one. The return was fast, and I had a new one in a few days. My wife was on the floor laughing at me when she saw the boot arrive! "Oh Lawdy...the man done ordered a boot from Amazon" were her exact words as she fell over in laughter. Well, I didn't care....Laugh on my love! Now, from the first time I put it on I could tell the difference. It took 90% of the pressure off my Achilles. It felt GREAT, No Pain! Now, when I used it for a long time (all day, lot of walking), my Achilles would get a little sore, but nothing like before. Also note, you need to add a lift insert inside your opposite shoe, or your opposite hip will start hurting from the height difference. They give you extra sponges to go into the boot, but I just put those inside my left shoe to counter the height difference. Boot felt great! Ok, I wore it for about a month, off and on, and my Achilles felt better day by day. So good...that some days I didn't even wear the boot, but it would swell up and be sore by the end of the day if I didn't. So my Dr appointment finally comes, and I go in. I'm in my boot and the Dr is like.....WTF did you do. I explained what happened and how I tried to get in to see her and she's PISSED at her receptionist for not booking me. Then she asks, who gave you the boot? what did they say? I said Amazon, She says, who's Dr Amazon ? LMBAO!!! I say no, the website....Amazon. She almost fell out the chair in laughter! Oh, she had a good gut-busting laugh at my amazon boot. That was until she tells me to take it off and get on the table. My Achilles was still very swollen and twice the size of my other. But not sore at all. She panics, "OMG you probably ruptured this thing. You need to see an Orthopedic today". She starts calling around to find a Ortho Dr that will see me that day. But it's Friday and they are all gone. So she schedule me to see him on Monday. She forgot about all the other things I came for like my cholesterol results. She was in full panic mode. She suspected the tendon was hanging on by a thread and I must stay off it. But by this time, me and my handy-dandy boot was just fine. I'd made it this long with just the boot, I was feeling better, so I was not in a rush to go see / pay for another Dr. Besides, It's my son's birthday weekend and I'm not canceling it for this when I'm in NO PAIN. She tells me to go home stay off of it until Monday. Me and my boot go to the race car track so my son can diver the indoor carts for his birthday. Now, I did sit down, and (as bad as I wanted to) I didn't take off my boot and ride the go-carts with him. Well my Dr calls me on my way to the go cart track and says she want me to go to the emergency room and get a MRI. WTF? Now we all know the price of emergency rooms, even with insurance, and the wait time. However, I could tell she was very concerned and I didn't want her worrying all weekend so after my son's birthday outing, I waited until about 12am and went into the emergency room, in my HANDY DANDY BOOT ! Finally see the ER Dr comes over and I explain everything and she's also laughing at my Amazon Boot. Then she informs me that they don't do MRI's in the ER. Ok, I just wasted 2 hrs. But she does look at my Achilles an tell me that it's probably ruptured but the Orthopedic will be able to better tell. So they didn't charge me anything. YEA! Put on my boot and I hobbled on back home. Well, Monday comes, and I realize my appointment had been changed to 8am instead of the 1pm. My Dr ! So I had to come back on Tuesday. SMH. Finally I see the Orthopedic Dr on Tuesday, Explain everything and why I'm there. He has a good chuckle bout my amazon boot as well. He says my tending is not torn, its tendonitis and very tight. Wearing the boot actually helped keep it from further damage. Then he says the magic words " Mr Terry, you did an EXCELLENT JOB, you did everything I would have done for you". You took pain meds, got it immobilize with a boot and kept wearing it for over a month. That's GREAT! Now, In my mind, I'm doing a touch-down dance on my Dr's and wife's face, because they ridiculed me for ordering this boot. It saved me, time money, and possible surgery had I not ordered it. My whole thinking was....It's 35.00! Can hurt to try it. Not like I can make it worse with the boot. Also, I did order and wear the Ankle Support Brace by Bodyprox as well. But didn't were it very often. Now, I"m not telling you to do this, this is just what I did. I suggest you go to a Dr. and get checked out. I got lucky it's wasn't torn, but this boot was a life saver.

Light weight and supportive
I am very pleased with this United Ortho Short Cam Walker Fracture Boot. I fractured my ankle and was provided a very tall boot at the Orthopedic office. Being a petite 4ft10, the tall boot did not allow me to even bend my knee OR use it with a knee scooter. I searched Amazon and found great reviews with United Ortho. This boot is wonderful!! Light weight and tall enough for good support in my opinion. It is also easy to put on and take off. I graduate from the walking boot this week and hope I do not need it in the future, but for anyone seeking a lighter weight, stabilizer for a foot or ankel injury, I highly recommend this product.

Great FIt
This was a great buy for me because this is my second boot. I have been in a boot for a long time and this one fits a lot better than my first issued one.

Seems to be exactly what I needed
This seems to serve its purpose. I sprained my ankle and I bought one of three boots on a recommendation from my doctor for stability. It’s easy to walk in, the sizing is good and it’s light weight. I have a 7.5 shoe and bought a size small. It’s pretty light weight and easy to get on. The delivery was faster than expected. I recommend getting a higher shoe like converse to match the height of the boot that way you’re not walking lopsided.

Not comfortable
I purchased this boot to stabilize a torn fascia in my foot. I wear an 8 1/2 Womens shoe and followed the sizing guidelines. To start, the recommended Medium boot is too big for this size foot. It is just shy of 2 inches long on my foot (yes I measured). I am of average weight and build. The boot is also not made to fit a woman's ankle/lower calf. Even when I add additional padding and tighten it as far as the hard plastic permits, the boot moves significantly which causes rubbing and bruising on my lower leg. Perhaps if the sizing guideline was different and I ordered Small the rest of the boot sizing would work. I ended up using a tall boot that my husband had from a previous injury. Even though it is also long for my foot, it fits snugly on the leg and ends up being more comfortable. I do not recommend this short boot

Great Boot To Finish Healing!
I broke a bone in my foot recently and my doctor’s office was going to charge me $200 for my boot. I bought this online, and even my doctor was impressed with the quality. It does the job and is comfortable.

Great for stabilizing foot while healing occurred.
Used for a small ankle fracture. Stabilized. Foot so no more damage and able to put weight on the foot. Helped with the healing.

Absolutely Zero Support
Following my accident i've been thorough many support systems for ankle and lower leg. I bough this because i though its a smaller version version of the Air Boot and would work in a similar way. I usually wear shoes size 9.5-10 men which falls in the size Large category according to this product's recommendation. I bought a smaller size to be safe (medium). When it arrived i put it on and tried walking but my foot was almost floating in it and ankle was bending as if theres nothing on my foot. It came with a few extra padding pieces so i put the all on, tightened the sock part as much as i could and pulled the straps as far as i could and still i was not able to get a solid support. My ankle was still moving alot and foot was kinda loose. So i would not buy this if you have ankle join, soft tissue problems.

This boot is wide, heavy and awkward for a person of smaller stature and a narrow foot.
This product was purchased for my wife who suffered a severe ankle strain. I did the best research I could and decided to purchase this product for her recovery. We had to pay the shipping and the boot arrived. My wife read the instructions and tried on the boot. She walked 10 feet on our hardwood floor and found it extremely heavy, awkward and very loud. My wife works in retail and this boot definitely does not work for her work. I contacted the seller and was told this item is not returnable because it is deemed medical equipment. I don't buy this explanation and Amazon and the seller need to reconsider. This product is well made except for the cheap velcro straps and might for a larger customer with wide feet but not suitable for my wife's foot. The seller refused to accept a return and hence this negative review. It seems odd a large company would hide behind a return policy to sell product. The sellers response for no return is not acceptable. Look for a lighter product in your area that you can try on before purchasing.

IMPRESSIVE BOOT
I fell down the stairs and severely sprained my ankle and sustained a metatarsal fracture to the joint. After two weeks of bed rest, I was able to wear the boot. I made sure to order the correct size and the boot fits perfectly. The entire boots completely opens up so you can just place your foot in the boot without squeezing into it. It has extra pads that I was able to place over the joint. The velcro straps are wide and easy to adjust and the boot liner is well cushioned and soft. It has a rocker sole for better stability and a smoother gate. The foot bed is wide enough to allow swelling, a stability bandages and extra socks. The boot is awkward, of course, and when I tried it for the first time, my extensor ligaments, (needed to lift the foot), stretched a bit which is understandable because of weak tendons and the severity of the injury. In conclusion, this is a very good boot, worth the purchase and will definitely assist in recovery.

overall happy :)
I'm a size 8 & ordered the women's medium as I wanted the bigger size to protect & prevent my toes from sticking out; if ever needed, it will also fit a man's size 11! It feels heavy at first but has great traction and once I figured out how to tuck & strap properly, it is a great help in mobility and very cushy yet sturdy. I read recommendations on sleeping with it on and thought it would be uncomfortable, but after waking up in pain without it on I decided to give it a try and sleep much better as it prevents the blanket from pressing on my toes. Sleep with the injured foot elevated with big pillow under it. I am happy I bought it :-)

TERRIBLE..WAY TOO BIG
So where do I start..two years ago severely sprained my ankle. They recommended I buy a boot cast..so I did. The tall boot was perfect did the job. So still to this day I am having issues and needing to wear the boot so I decided to buy this one. I read all the reviews noting some said way too big but thinking everybody is different so I purchased it. Big mistake...WAY TOO BIG AND NO SUPPORT! My foot and ankle is simply floating around inside it which is totally 100% useless! My advice is....DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
