Terrific suit
So I don't think one pieces are often very flattering, just the nature of the beast there. But I think that this is pretty flattering, with the higher-but-not-too-high cut of the legs, as well as the red swirl design. I will say that despite what some other reviews say that it is true to fit, I think that it runs small and here's why: I am pear shaped - my bottom is bigger than my top (I'm a 34A on top), but I wear a size 6 in pants and a 2 or 4 in dresses from the Gap, Banana Republic and JCrew. If memory serves, according to the sizing chart, I should wear a 32. Because I'm a pear, I actually went to a local store that was selling this suit for quite a bit more and tried on the sizes. A 32 technically fit, but it was tight and my body spilled out of it. Especially in the back, where there is a lower-back cut out at the top of the butt - that was not attractive in the smaller sizes (but again, I'm a pear and that's my problem area). The 36 still fits well without it being so tight I overflow in it. I realize that swimsuits seem to run small in general, as I typically go up a size in swimsuits overall. I'm thinking that maybe the other reviewers are used to this going up a size and didn't think of it, or maybe it's just because I'm a pear that I had this experience. I am not a swim-racer, so I am just going to the pool, swimming my laps, then playing in the water or reading poolside. But my advice is to go up a size or even two. The fabric is giving but not too giving, so I think there is a good amount of leeway you can do. It does not ride up in the back, no wedgies at all - not one, not even off the high dive! And the straps have not felt like they are going to fall down, much less actually fall down. It is very comfortable!! The fabric is great - it is lined and the lining is very nice because it smooths without being bulky. I feel like an athlete in the suit, but more like Serena Williams - stylish too!! It dries quickly and I've been in the water a lot this summer and it still looks brand new yet. I think that I will have this suit for years and years and years.

Count on TYR
TYR suits fit well. They are a racing type suit and not much give or stretch. But they're what I always by for my water aerobics and swimming. Almost always fit the same. Some styles vary. I stick with the same style different color each time. Hold up well and last.

Flattering fit! Helps me look fierce, swim fast, and stay fit in the pool!
This is my third TYR swimsuit to own in this exact style and design. Part of that is my personality- I could eat oatmeal for breakfast everyday forever and be happy as a clam- but part of it (really most of it in this instance), is that I love quality products. I spend inordinate amounts of time researching my decisions, and when I find something that works well I stick with it. This is a high quality swimsuit that if you wash it promptly after using and dry flat it will last years of moderate usage. I mostly am a runner and swim as cross training (or when I am injured), so I am sure it would need to be replaced more often if you swim everyday. Regarding fit, it runs small, but all swimsuits do. You want it to fit tight when you first try it on. Tighter than you think!! It definitely stretches out over time. I had a 38 that fit me (I am around 5'2", 130 pounds) straight out of the box but it stretched a lot (especially after using over a year) and had an awkward few inches that hung down at the bottom. Reordered in a 34 and it was definitely tight first trying it on. I ALMOST exchanged sizes. But decided to test it out and am happy I stuck with the smaller size. Reduces drag in the pool and already feels comfortable to wear. The placement of these stripes really are flattering, even if you have an apple shaped figure (as I do). I appreciate this because so many patterns on swimsuits call attention to my body shape in a way I don't love. Swimsuits are already probably not a women's top choice of wear, so finding something that makes you feel confident is important. It is definitely quality and I appreciate the thicker straps on the back. Give it a try!

RUNS SMALL (short torso length and very high rise) !
I just retire my other competitive swimsuit by TYR and needed a replacement. This was the model closest to what I had. I did measurement by the company's chart and fall right in size 32. I am 5'3" and weigh 114 lbs and have a long torso. I read reviews here and decided to go 1 size up (34). The size 34 was way too snug for my torso. Hip and chest were fine but the length wasn't It was like the swimsuit eating my flesh. I had to go up 2 sizes (36) and finally fit right- with hip area a little loose, of course. So if you have a long torso, I suggest you go up 2 sizes.

Threads unraveled in leg part, causing seams to open. Flawed manufacturing.
I've bought Tyr swim suits for years and always liked them. This flaw was unexpected and disappointing. It was a waste of money.

Good for a year
I’ve had this suit for almost a year. I wear it about three times a week, every other week (I alternate with other suits). Noticed last week what I thought was sand or dirt in various spots over the suit. Was able to scrape it off with my fingernail but the same spots appeared again after today’s practice, in all the same areas. I now recognize that the suit is disintegrating in those areas. I’ve never seen this before. Time to buy another suit.

Very disappointed!
I was charged over $100, the price tag was left on it was $79 Although the size indicated was XL it was clearly only size 8-10. I ended up donating it.

Cobalt blue not colour fast
I like the style, construction and fit of TYR swimsuits. I bought the yellow on cobalt blue in June 2021 and the other a green on black recently. Sadly after 5 months of wear in chlorinated pool the cobalt blue has lost its colour and turned a light blue.

Fit has changed from TYR to much smaller and they aren't lasting as long
I swim at least twice a week in chlorinated, salt and freshwater and I have bought TYR costumes for several years but lately the size 38 (which has always fitted) is now much too small (I haven't put on weight) and the costumes go baggy much sooner than previously. They are also very difficult for me to exchange living in a rural location with no easy pick-up spots and the bother of having to provide 3 copies of the invoice with each one. I am definitely looking at other brands now
