Check threads on mounting tube
One stand was odered 1 year ago and it was perfect. Then ordered a second one 4/2023 and the threaded piece on this one was attached/welded onto the tube at an angle and made the umbrella lean. I reached out to Tropishade and they had a new one to me in 4 days and this one is perfect. Other than being a bit pricey, the stand is heavy, solid and the umbrella can take fairly strong wind well.

Beautiful, but umbrella holder doesn't fit table base (Update: I modified the table)
Update, I modified the table to make it work. It looks great! I love the base, and it looks beautiful with my table and chairs, BUT, the metal tube to hold the umbrella is too wide for the opening at the base of my table...just a fraction of an inch. I don't think I can install it without damaging the table, so will most likely send it back...so just 3 stars. Check that before you order, to make sure it will fit yours. It's a typical wrought iron table. Even restaurants use them. I would have thought the tube would be a standard size. But otherwise it's very nice. I'm disappointed!

If you have a 1 1/2” pole .....remove the gasket or it won’t fit
The product is beautiful. It is extremely heavy, so I doubt it will move around in any wind unless it’s gale force. It’s well-made and a beautiful color. However, I am subtracting a star because it was described as holding a 1 1/2 inch umbrella pole, and my new umbrella ( 1 1/2 inch diameter) did not fit. I set up a return, but then decided to come and read other peoples reviews to see if I could find anyone else with a similar problem, and I did. That fellow said his pole did not fit either, but that he took out the gasket from the top of the support pole, and then it DID fit. So I went outside and pulled the gasket out with a pair of pliers and tried to put my umbrella in again and bingo, that worked perfectly. There were no instructions in the box that told me that for different size umbrellas you either left the gasket in or took it out. I didn’t even know that the piece came out until I read someone else’s review, so I Had not tried pulling it out. Anyway, it’s a wonderful heavy beautiful umbrella stand. Just know that you might need to take out the gasket.

It Doesn't Fit My TABLE!!
When shopping for a new base I considered material, weight, design etc and settled on this one. When it arrived it was beautiful and I was so excited!....until I went to place it under my table. It's too TALL!!. The metal bracing under the table (with the SECOND hole that the umbrella goes through before entering the base tube) should sit OVER the top of this stand. And if it rests on the tube, my table legs don't touch the ground. Nowhere in this description did I see anything mentioned about height. I just assumed all of this kind of stuff was standard but to my surprise it's not not, so buyer beware. I am now trying to locate a shorter tube. Apparently 12" and 9" are the norms and I need a 9 incher. I have a 12. Total height floor to the top of the tube is about 15 1/4". Otherwise it's a beautiful and sturdy base and I'm very happy to have it.

Pretty umbrella holder
I was looking to replace our old umbrella holder that had cracked. This looks great, is a snap to put together, and easy to maneuver because you can pick it up by the scroll work. It fits the Costco umbrellas perfectly! Really pleased with the esthetics and highly recommend.

Ornate Classic Heavy Base
The Cast Iron base is very sturdy weighing 30lbs. With the table helping to stabilize the base, it’s Abe to hold a ten foot octagonal Umbrella which is stunning!!!

Quite sturdy!
Love it under my patio table and goes well including the fit with my umbrella. So far, we haven't had a strong storm but trusting it will be ok. A cast iron stand is way better than other stands. Just wish they could cost a little less.....overall it's good!

Metal Umbrella Stand
This was bought so a 95 year old could raise and lower her umbrella. The plastic ones got to hot in the sun and the umbrella would fall over even tough it was sand weighted. Very appealing to look at and was is sturdy.
