Buy this game. You wont regret it.

A unique fun game w/stunning quality pieces & packaging. The artwork & over all design of this game is superior to any board game I've ever played. And I'm old. The value for the money is excellent. There is a learning curve but it's worth it to fumble through until you know the basics. Getting a new character is like getting a brand new game. Once you understand the rules, match ups can go quick. 45 minutes is average. We thought a few "new vs older" character matchups would be unbalanced but- we were happily wrong. I love how well balanced all the characters are. It's a stunning achievement considering all the variables involved. My son and I have a hard time playing games because we argue over rules. But w/DT, each character comes with a detail card, including a list of frequently asked questions. The rules are clear. The cards use precise language so there is very little room for argument. The character vs. character model keeps competition fun. We keep little notes w/each character to add details about past match ups. With so many characters to play, the possibilities are endless. This was already a very smart game, but adding marvel characters was a stroke of genius. Thank you to the creators of this game! Can't wait to buy whatever comes next.

Fun game

Fun game, it's basically battle Yahtzee with Marvel characters that everyone knows. Unlike most board games, there is no setup time. You just hand a player the character's box and you start rolling dice. It's simple enough that anyone can learn it, but has enough strategic choices to keep the game interesting.

It's just fun

I play this with my 5 year old (starting with no cards, then bringing basic cards, then bringing character specific) and we have an absolute blast. It has more decision making than i expected - plenty of luck in the dice of course, but some really engaging decisions in modifying your dice or your opponents. It's not AS entry level as i expected due to the amount of reading required for each character, but you get used to it. If you've only played monopoly, this may be a bit much. If you've played Catan or Ticket to ride this should be fine.

Tough learning curve

This game is a LOT of fun! But it is not an easy game to learn. On top of knowing how to play Yahtzee (which is the chance element in this game), this is a very high-strategy game. There are many things at play on any given player’s move-phase, and you need to be very very VERY familiar with your chosen character’s powers and capabilities to be able to enjoy playing the game. I think once I’ve played the game 10 times with the same character, I would start to enjoy playing the game, which points out the challenge of finding a friend/family member who is a glutton for punishment, enough to go through the familiarization of a particular character to finally get to the point of enjoying the game. I’ve played my character 3 times now and am still interested to play again…but I think my wife and boys may be feeling something different…UNO anyone?

AWESOME GAME

Dice Throne is my new favorite TT game! My wife and I bought this because it’s Marvel and we knew it’d be a good introduction to Dice Throne. We plan on buying the original characters of DT too but this was a great set for us to learn the game with some familiar faces. The game itself is easy to learn and very fast paced once you and other players get the hang of it. No two games of DT are alike which makes it’s replayability practically endless. Highly recommend!

Great Game for Any Level of Gamer

Marvel Dice Throne has impressed me with every play through. The high-quality pieces are packaged nicely, and the diversity of each hero provides great replayability. Heroes do actually feel balanced---every one of our games have ended in 10 health points or less between the winner and loser. The varifying complexity of each hero makes it easy for any level of gamer to get into the game. If you want to test the waters, get one of the other Marvel Dice Throne packs first: Captain Marvel and Black Panther. Or Black Widow and Dr. Strange. You can play them as standalone games, and then get this main box when you're more familiar with Dice Throne. Either way, I think anyone will enjoy this game.

Comes without packaging.

I’m so annoyed - bought as a gift and it was delivered with no packaging outside of the box so my partner saw it immediately. I’m sure the game is good but I regret buying through Amazon.

Desafiante mentalmente

Para los amantes del azar y los superhéroes, este juego es perfecto. Cabe mencionar que es cuestión de varias partidas para comprender por completo la mecánica de cada personaje, pero eso es lo divertido, enterarte en qué fallaste y hacerlo mejor después. Está en inglés y en mi opinión sí influye mucho el idioma, pero se resuelve con un traductor. Veo que sólo una expansión está disponible aquí en Amazon, sería perfecto que la otra también.

Muy bueno, pero...llegó incompleto

Es un juego muy entretenido, con mucha variabilidad al combinar personajes. Lástima que llegó con un dial incompleto.

Fehlproduktion

An sich gute Qualität, allerdings ist bei den Lebenspunkten bei Thor eine Fehlproduktion. Die Zahlen wurden falsch montiert und so stehen sie auf dem Kopf. Amazon hat aber super reagiert und mir direkt einen Preisnachlass gegeben ????
