This review is specifically for the underseater. I haven't traveled with it, so can't comment on the durability, but from what I can see the quality is indeed very good. The wheels are smooth and seem very solid, the telescoping handle seems sturdy and has easy one-hand operation, the materials are pretty and fancy-looking. I love how the carrying handle on top pops out and slides back in, btw. I just couldn't shake the feeling that the suitcase is... dated. I could live with it being two wheels rather than a spinner because I believe that means it has more room inside, but just overall I felt like this luggage would have been all the rage maybe a decade ago, I just wasn't sure how well it would serve me going forward. I don't know - the zipper pulls with holes that align for a manual lock, the way the laptop sleeve is made, the organization in the outer pocket for cards and pens rather than a single good size pocket for a smartphone (and perhaps something that blocks RFID?..), even just the overall design, starting with that protuberant logo - they all screamed of decades past to me. I also wish that there was a side pocket for a bottle or an umbrella (the one for the battery is very flat and stiff). Also, I haven't had a phone that uses standard USB in several years now, they are all USB-C. I think one of my old chargers had a cable that's USB-C on one end and standard USB on the other, but I am not sure I've kept it. I mean, I don't know, maybe I am being too nitpicky, but it's just that even opening that flap that covers the USB port on the suitcase, it looked outdated to me. Although, in fairness, I am not sure how many specifically *underseat* suitcases with a USB-C port are currently available on the market (or if they exist at all). I don't know why Monos and Away still don't have any *wheeled* underseat bags, so I guess I'll keep looking. UPDATE: I have since bought the hardside Samsonite Silhouette underseater and am much happier with it, both form and function. I should note that even though the Solyte is noticeably shorter than the Silhouette, it's actually both wider and thicker, by about an inch. When traveling carry-on only I don't want to take any chances that it won't fit or that I'd be forced to check my luggage, so this is yet another reason I am happier with the Silhouette.
