Cats love these!
I’ve been buying this particular S-shaped cat scratching pad this for so long now, I’ve probably been through about 30 of them. I always buy them in pairs, push them together, and my cats love to sleep inside the furry area. When they wake up, they go to town on the scratchers. There’s something about the scratchers they really love, more so than their scratching posts. I personally love them because they are so reasonably priced!

Cats Love This
We had a 2-year-old scratch pad of similar design that has started falling apart in the past 6 months, so we decided to replace it. When we saw how affordable the TRIXIE Scratching Wave was, the only thing that made sense was to get two. As we have 2 cats, it was logical - although our older tabby does not frequent scratching posts much - he prefers the walls, ugh. At any rate, it was a huge hit with our younger cat Max, whereas Star still lays in it from time to time. These waves are very soft due to the thick carpeting, so they can help induce napping, hehe. At any rate - great product - for a price that can't be beat.

Poor workmanship
I bought this even though it was more expensive than some of the others because I thought I would get what I paid for. I'm disappointed with the poor workmanship. I don't think it's going to last very long.

Pleasantly Surprised By Quality Scratching Wave
This kitty scratching wave/post is made well and our cat loved it at first sight. Her previous wave was demolished and leaving wads of material all around it. This one comes in a pretty tan color which blends in great. I had the impression that this new product would be cheaply-made due to its very LOW price, but it's just fine! It has carpeting with areas of jute that my cat enjoys using. She's a picky critter, so A+ on this Cat Scratching Wave.

My cat says thumbs up and it is his world Ijust live in it!
I have a 12 pound cat. He has a scratchy curl pad in every room. I always prior to this bought the Petlinks Dream curls for him. This product is not as sturdy but does have more sisal on it. Petlinks got chintzy with the sisal and more expensive. This one had a good price point and more sisal. I do recommend putting it on carpeting as otherwise will slide around or flatten out as some reviewers mentioned. Putting it on rug helps prevent that. Not a bad product though. My cat is also not a fan of the rug they use and while he will lay in the others will not lay in this one. He just uses it for scratching purposes only. Stands on it and scratches just fine. Holds up well for that. My cat has a scratch pad in every room. This one was good for one room but not the others as have tile or wood flooring in the other rooms. Update: Bought a second one and my cat just loves this one. Except that he does not lay in it but it is his preferred one in the house and I have many different kinds for him throughout the house. And basically, it is HIS vote that counts not mine. It is sturdy enough for him and he is a 12 pound cat and have attached pictures of him sitting on it no problem. Also pictures of his old one that I purchased a year and a half ago or thereabouts. And he loved it used it still in decent condition actually and not throwing away the old one just moving it to another location. He was THRILLED when he saw the new one. So giving it five stars now as my cat voted and he loves it.

Scratching Wave challenge
The item itself is great; however, my cat refuses to use it. This cat just walked into my life three weeks ago, is pure white with china blue eyes and is totally deaf. It had no identification on it or a chip in it, so being that it couldn't hear, I decided to keep it with me. I'm a senior who put her last dog to sleep a year ago October and was having a very difficult time deciding if I wanted to rescue another dog or if I would be happy with a cat. This going back and forth went on for quite a few weeks, so when "Teddy" walked up and laid down on my front steps, all my neighbors commented to me "Annie, we see God made up your mind for you !!" And so He did. Teddy slept on my shoulder from the first night forward and right next to me on the couch when I was watching TV. He still follows me around the house whenever I move from one spot. I'd never had a cat in my life and I'm 72 now, and just didn't know if I could live with such an independent animal, I had read that Ragdoll cats "loved their humans" and were very good for seniors and also special needs children. Can you believe that Teddy is part Ragdoll??!! My vet was so very pleased for me along with all my neighbors; but, as noted above, he simply refuses to use the scratching wave, So, I'm going to donate it to our local Humane Society in Vero Beach, FL. I'm on food stamps and partial Medicaid, so I wish I could get my money back, but at least I know some cat will enjoy it!!! Thank you,

Give your cat(s) time
Like anything for your cat, it is up to them to make the decision. In the box it came in was a long strip of packing paper. That was a very desirable feature, as my cats immediately loved playing with the long strip of paper. The box was appreciated also. This looks nice, and several of mine have been seeing clawing on the sisal. One laid her paws on the carpet portion. I know it gets moved around at night, so it does get attention. Since they have many other scratchers, that all of them are not totally infatuated with it is no surprise. But often give them time. The cat that seems to like it the most claws on the sisal, and rubs her chin on the carpet portion, marking is as hers. That will probably encourage others to do the same. To soon to know durability, as if they all get going at it, they can shred anything quickly. It does seem well made, however.

Too flimsy
This is being returned. Will not last a week with my cats. Not sturdy at all and the material isn't carpet and you can feel the cardboard through it. The Mfg should know better! Can anyone recommend a wave style scratcher that is made better?

daft cat
I liked this and thought it would be perfect for my cat who seems to have no clue what to do about her long claws (apart from ruin the carpets). No reaction whatsoever! So I tried showing her with my nails, lol, putting her paws on it and moving her legs myself, treats on top - which she carefully leaned over for, not touching the scratcher, and catnip spray. A total failure. She does like hiding under it though :D

Cats don't go near it...
Cats don't go near it - tried showing them what to do, tried placing them on it, but no joy, they'd rather attack the sofa that this is placed next to. In my cats (2) defence, I started scratching it to show them what to do, and the weave seems to go the wrong way (you have to scratch across it to get any "purchase", going up and down you just slide over it). I'd hoped that if at least they didn't scratch it, they'd sit in the other 1/2, or hide under it, but no joy - they both seem to hate it.

More a cat's cradle than a scratching board
We got this for out cat because he didn't seem to like the standard styles of scratching board. He liked it at the outset but the novelty wore off quite quickly and he prefers to sleep on it. I have managed to get him to resume using it for a scratching board (not as frequently though) by sprinkling it with catnip! The shape and idea of this scratching board are very novel and attractive to humans but not so much to cats especially ours!

yes & no
So my son thought this was great and decided to use it to launch his cars on - on the day i got it home he managed to break it by standing on it! My dear cat Oscar however has no interest in this - he sat in it a couple of times but has not grasped the idea he is meant to use it to scratch - so back to the drawing board. He loves the Cat-it cardboard scratchers but they make so much mess once he has begun shredding them....

My two cents..
Our little boy is still a kitten and is on the smaller side hehe, this one seems to be a struggle for him the size is was too small surface to scratch on is lacking, most of the time when he tries to scratch on the board he usually ends up scratching the brown outer layer fuzzy part... if it was tested on a normal sized cat it would have been a swing and a miss...
