A mental and physical workout!
The media could not be loaded. My cat figured it out relatively quickly, but for now I'm keeping the tube caps unscrewed so it's as easy as possible. I like that you can make it harder by adding the cap with the big hole, and then even more challenging by using the cap with the small holes. Even when a cat gets good at tipping the tube over, there will always be the challenge of getting the pieces out from between the spikes at the base of the toy, which is great because it keeps them engaged even if they are good at it. The toy requires a little assembly upon unboxing, but it's simple enough to do, and so far, my cat seems to be enjoying his new entertainment!

Does what it’s supposed to!
I wouldn’t say I have very “smart” cats but one figured it out pretty quick and the other one figured out he can wait for the other cat to do all the work lol. I got this because my two cats scarf down their food, then terrorize the house looking for more food until dinner even though they were getting chunky. This is a great way to make them work for extra food. I did have to put tape over the top to cover 2/3 holes because I use cat food and too much would come out too fast. Can’t make it too easy on them! As far as stability goes it’s ok. I had to put a rock on the base so it wouldn’t fall over when they got a little too aggressive with it. My cats are staying busy and it’s pretty affordable so i’m happy.

big holes and not too sturdy
not very sturdy, even with the screws in my cat managed to pop the stands out of the base. it's very light in general. the holes were a bit big for my use (i filled it with dry food) but could be good for bigger treats. although i don't know if i would put that many treats in it (my cat would become a very fat cat). i taped over some 2/3 holes and it seemed to slow him down a bit.

Fabulous Product!
The media could not be loaded. My cat LOVES this. It took a bit to train her to use it because she had trouble figuring out what the heck it was at first... But I slowly trained her to use it to eat her dry food so she can't scarf and barf... for anyone struggling to teach it here is what I did: 1. First few days no lids on at all, but she still didn't get what she was supposed to do so I stuck some toys on the top of each tube to entice her to bat at them. It was a bit of trial and error and a lot of sticking mice back in the top of the tube after she hit the toy but not the tube... But entutally she started catching on 2. After she got the hang of needing to bat at the tubes I stopped putting the toys in the top and let her do it that way for a day or so 3. I added 1 top (large single hole) to one tube at a time (the left one first because she was better at hitting that one) and waited until she got the hang of using it with all 3 tubes with the large single hole top 4. I started switching out the single stage hole top for the smaller 3 holes tops and now all 3 tubes have the 3 holes tops on them and she LOVES the challenge of getting her food from her feeder 2x a day. I can watch her brain working and it's so entertaining for everyone involved ???? I only wish there were more top choices to make it more challenging for her and I wish they would make other interactive feeders like this one because it's one of the only ones I have ever found that she can use with her giant feet! She's got double double paws on her front feet and he mittens are huge so most interactive feeders she can't fit her feet into to use... Which is why we love this one so much!

The cats all visit it
The media could not be loaded. They apparently use it all night because I’ve been refilling it once a day. I have 3 different treats in there. One treat was too big to dispense with the 3 hole lid so I put on the large single hole lid. Now those dispense several at a time. I think it needs a medium hole option. Luckily the ones that burst out of the large hole option are the less expensive treats. I put Orijens freeze dried in one cup and those are pricey. Wouldn’t want them gobbling those up. I want them to work for it!

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. This is a wonderful product, it is actually a 2-in-1 puzzle. The first puzzle are the blue containers from which the food must be extracted, the second puzzle is the surface below onto which the food falls. There are plastic dubs on that surface preventing a kitty's mouth from directly reaching the treat. The feline must use his/her paw to move the wiggle the treat out. You can see our Niche demonstrating this on the video. There is an option to attach the product to a surface (instructions and screws are included). I attached ours to a heavy board (not included). This keeps the puzzle in place, and it has never toppled over. I warn you that his particular puzzle can be a bit challenging for the kitties even after they get the idea. The product comes with 3 types of caps: large hole, medium hole, and three small holes per cap. We have the caps with one medium hole on all three blue containers, and you can see in the video how they sometimes turn over without any food falling out. They can even hang upside down with no food falling out. A nice whack from a skilled paw is required to fix this problem. We have two 8 yr old cats: a fat one (Arie) and a skinny one (Niche - the star in the video). We got this puzzle to slow down the fat cat's eating, he is 24 lbs and vacuums up his meals in seconds. Both of our boys caught on pretty fast, but ironically it the picky eater, Niche, who took a liking to the puzzles, not our food-obsessed Arie. Niche really got into the puzzles, he spends a great deal of time eating from this one and theStimulo Cat Feeding Station and Activity Center . The fatty knows how to get the food out, but mostly prefers to put his energy into harassing his guardians instead. He does occasionally join his thinner (12 lb) brother to reap the rewards of his hard work. Overall, I highly recommend this (and the Stimulo) for any bored cat, even if they are not obsessed with food. Cats are generally intelligent, and must solve "puzzles" in the wild to get food. Both of our indoor-only boys caught on pretty fast, and at least one seems to really enjoy the challenge.

Going for a 'spin'
I have 4 cats and due to health reasons have had to be kept indoors lately. They were getting quite bored so I bought this turn around toy to help occupy them. They were all interested at first as they could smell the treats. But biting the tubes and patting them or pulling the bottom of each tube towards them was producing no results so they gave up. I tried dropping the treats in but they couldn't understand where they went and were looking below for the treat. Clear tubes may have helped! In the end I took some fresh cooked chicken and broke it into small pieces and placed in the tubes. This did get their interest and they weren't going to give up on chicken so easily. One of them soon mastered the 'spin' and so I gave all the tubes a good clean out and put treats back in with lids on two. He mastered this well and now recognizes that no noise on a 'spin' means it's empty. We have now moved on to the three lids with three smaller holes as this has slowed down his consumption of treats. The others still haven't really figured it out. One knows the tube needs to move but hasn't figured out it needs to spin. Another just hasn't a clue - bless him, and the last isn't too fussed by treats so doesn't bother trying, though she gives it a pat from time to time. They have all learnt t hang around when the smart one is spinning the tubes though as the treats go flying. I'm considering mixing the treats in with normal dry cat food as currently we they are going through quite a few treats in a day. A heavier base to stop it tipping easily and clear tubes would have given this 5 stars.

Love it
The media could not be loaded. This is the second Trixie cat activity I own! We love it. Took my cat a few weeks to understand it as with other puzzles but now she can use it, it’s perfect to give treats whilst keeping her brain active.

Great... Depending on your moggy's perseverance levels
Great item, really pleased with it for price. A piece of cake to assemble. Didn't even open instructions but there is one. Choice of different lids, large hole or the ones with 3 holes in each. This kept my 2 moggies interested for ages, one quick to suss it, the other not so. The raised section at the Base is great also because they have to scoop the treat biscuits out from between the plastic spines (not sure what to call them, but they're not sharp). It can topple over but that really depends on if your cat tries to use it as a climbing frame! They treats are partially visible in the tubes despite what I'd read elsewhere. Really rate this & if you have a mischievous kitty like me, then this is worth the £ to give them a challenge. Very pleased with it.

Might work for some cats, but not for mine
This was reasonably easy to put together, and easy to use, but my cats just didn't like it. They are used to several different kinds of treat-feeders, some home made and some bought, but this one did not appeal to them. They were both put off it when the containers spun round. One of them managed to smack herself on the nose with the rotating container, and wouldn't go near it again; the other was startled when the cat treats fell on top of her head and wasn't prepared to give it another go. Their favourite treat feeders are the ones shaped like tennis balls, which they have to roll about; and a 500ml plastic bottle which I cut very small holes in, which they have to be a bit more assertive with to get the food out of. I'm going to try adapting a Pringles container next, as I wonder if they'll be less interested if they can't see the food inside.

if only the phials were clear
great combo puzzle feeder.. First is to pivot the phials, then second is to extricate fallen nibbles from the forest of plastic nibs. I found it tough getting the cat to understand what to do... Heres what I did incase anyone else is struggling with a slow cat: over the course of a few days: 1/ remove the blue phials from the contraption, and whenever you give the cat a treat, place the food inside the phial and leave it on the floor (sideways, with the top off) 2/After doing this a few times, replace the phials, but leave the top off.. Now hold a treat to the cats nose and drop it very obviously into the phial, so it makes a noise.. Hopefully cat will start poking the plastic.. Now when he makes the phial swing, flip it with your hand so the treat falls out.. My thinking here is just to get the cat associating swinging and food.. Keep this up but reduce assistance so cat is exerting more effort. THe part I struggled with was making sure the cat didnt give up after a few swings the only criticism is the colour of the phials.. WHY a practically opaque blue?? Is it something to do with cat visual physiology?? I might take a stanley knife and open up some vents so the cat can see the food
