Fairly good helper product
I don't know about all of their claims and I can not see that it helps with sludge, perhaps it helps my drain field. I think that I prefer Roebic K-37-BAG every month as opposed to every three month's. The code enforcement here in Harris County, Texas is pretty strict and sometimes even draconian. So unless you want all kinds of fines, the Roebic K-37-BAG works. I suppose this product may help drain field.

Septic Shock isn’t a solution, it’s simply a guide.
After a high fiber diet from take out due to COVID positive quarantine, our toilet ended up clogged. Not standing water luckily… but a slow, slow release where you must wait 20 mins and make sure the water is completely at its lowest before flushing to curb any overflow. With no plunger in the house and ignoring the problem until the next restroom break, I frantically experimented with any and all chemicals that could solve the issue. Baking soda and vinegar? Nope. More baking soda than vinegar? Not a chance. Dish soap? Try again. Clog Remover Gel where it specifically said not to place in the toilet? Not a chance. I finished the evening pacing, pouring warm water down the bowl, pondering my next steps. I purchased Septic Shock in flourish, not completely understanding if it could fix the issue but following the bottle’s marketing of “emergency clogs”. I received the product the next day with Amazon Prime, while I was dumping boiling water down the toilet (which is not recommended since it may crack the bowl and ring but I’m battling clogs AND a fever here… there’s no time to think). I poured half of the bottle to avoid over flow and let it take it’s course for an hour. I came back to an empty bowl and flushed, defeated. A huge “GLUG” was heard and splash back hurled itself towards me. I jump out of the way. The bowl filled to the brim with water again. I was taken aback. A septic shock indeed! This was a huge turning point. I quickly dumped the rest of the bottle, ran quickly away from its strong fumes, and researched other ways to declog this toilet. As I let the last half of ooze green Septic Shock work it’s magic, I brace for the final act, air tight Saran Wrap over the bowl. After sealing the toilet, I sealed the gate of this clog. I flush and air rises in the toilet bowl. I pushed down causing a plunging action. The clog is free. I am free. TLDR: Septic Shock didn’t carry me to the land of clean pipes but held my hand to guide me there. 4 stars.

Twice now this has fixed my septic drain field
My drain field was no good and not draining water - No I don't want to spend thousands to dig up a new drain field - I got my septic tank pumped out - then dug up access to my D-Box and poured 6 or 7 bottles of this directly into my D-Box (which is the most direct path to the drain field) and BAM - drain field now drains water again like it should. It works like magic. Directions tell you to flush it down the toilet. This will dilute it a lot so your results might not be as good if you do it that way. After doing this once my drain field held up for 2 more years until I had some guests take some long showers which backed me up a bit. Tank pumped, added 6 more bottles of septic shock to the D-Box, going strong for another year and counting. It works pretty fast. Within 2 or 3 days of adding it to my drain field the water levels were noticeably going down. (I still had my D-Box exposed for viewing and adding) Some people might be able to get to the pipe that leads to the D-Box from their septic tanks hatch. Possibly a funnel or beer bong type thing to get the liquid there. There are different types of septic systems so a little research will help. I asked the guy who pumped my septic and he gave me some useful info.

This stuff works
It takes a lot more chemical than they say to get rid of wet lawn. I used a gallon once a week for a long time and now use it once a month. I also use Green pig also.

YOU WANT TO READ THIS, BECAUSE THIS COULD SAVE YOUR $5000 OR MORE.
Symptoms: Water started draining slowly and toilet closest to septic tank started gurgling. Called a plumber and "over the phone" he diagnosed as a septic issue and suggested to contact a drainfield repair person. Then contacted called multiple drain field repair companies, so called "experts", who all said the same thing: "YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR DRAIN FIELD BECAUSE IT'S MORE THAN 25 YEARS OLD". HOWEVER, NOT 1 PERSON DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO SEE IF IT WAS ACTUALLY A DRAINFIELD ISSUE! Quote: $5000 to $7500 (Wow!!!!!!) Then so called "septic expert" suggested, drain the tank and this will give you a couple of months to save your money. Septic company who came to pump the tank, and said "Ya, it's your drain field, we have seen this hundreds of times. Pumping the tank won't fix anything". Well, it helped for a few weeks at first and then the problems started again. REMEMBER, NOT 1 PERSON TILL NOW DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE! Money was tight, and couldn't afford $5000 to $7500. We decided to try septic shock and everything else in market in an attempt to speed up the water draining. Well, NOTHING WORKED. The problem re-appeared again, and we had guests coming for the weekend. We decided to pump the tank again, after 3 months 1 day before guests arrived and then sign the contract on Monday to replace the drain field. Sunday, 1 hour before the guests arrived the water started backing up and not draining at all. Worst, this time raw sewage started backing up (YUK). I couldn't believe a 1050 gallon septic tank would be full in 2 days, with two people and no other discharge other than showers and toilets into the tank. Called another septic company on Monday at 7 am come and pump the tank again and when they opened the tank there was A HUGE SURPRISE.....Tank was only about 20% full, WHAT??????? The septic guy said, it's a blocked main drain line. The new septic company jetted the main drain line from the septic tank, and a few packets of solid septic shock comes flying out of the main line which had caused the block that resulted in slow water draining and gurgling. After 6 months of this episode everything is working fine. We saved money in unnecessary drain field repairs and most importantly NOT ONE SEPTIC REPAIR COMPANY OR PERSON SUGGESTED TO CLEAN THE MAIN LINE. We learned a valuable lesson and would suggest to try the below noted before embarking on replacing a drain field: Step 1. Call a plumber and INSIST on having the main drain line cleaned and inspected with a camera. Step 2. Pump the septic tank Step 3. Punch holes in drain field, because if it's a biomat issue, this will fix it in a hurry Step 4. NEVER TRUST THE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF A DRAIN FIELD CONTRACTOR BECUASE THEY DON'T MAKE ANY MONEY BY DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM. This product didn't help to clear the blocked line, but may have helped to clear the drain field issue.

Good stuff
I have a double tank like most. My liquid side pumps out to a leaching pond, no field. I had some solids spill over into the liquid side as the partition was breaking down, (fixed that with a saddle). So my pump out effluent stank soooo bad. I poured one bottle of this straight into the liquid side and one into the solid side. Within days no more noticeable smell. I just bought 2 more bottles to repeat to be sure the smell doesn’t come back. Good stuff!

Seems to have worked
We had an issue with the septic tank plugging up when draining into the septic bed. There must have been a blockage somewhere deep in the piping leading into the bed. I cannot directly say this was the solution. For the price, it was a good value and was part of the action plan. It is worth trying compared with replacing the bed altogether. We had a contractor come out and tell us we needed to replace the bed. We ended up going a different route. I called a company to pump out the tank. Once the tank was drained, they still had the lids off. I took an old garden house and poured 2 bottles directly into the outlet pipe leading to the septic bed. I let it work for two weeks while the tank filled back up. It looks like it worked as it was no longer backing up. Two months later, I pulled a lid off again to take a look, I noticed that some paper was going into the pipe as we had no filter (30 yr old concrete tank/bed). I called a plumber to install a filter and add the plastic easy access lids. Just before he arrived, we again emptied 2 bottles into the outlet pipe with a garden hose. So far so good. Also, the plumber advised us to limit the laundry loads to a max of 1 a day to give the septic bed enough time to drain. When you factor in laundry, dishwasher, and showers, it can strain the system.

Seems to have worked.
Gray water disposal field freezing up in winter. Finally blocked in fall before freeze up. The field was blocked with what appeared to be congealed grease from kitchen? I ordered 2 jugs of this and put an entire jug down the access line on arrival. After a week I put down the other entire jug. We’ve had no trouble with drainage since. Fingers crossed. I will order more in future and follow directions, unlike my first effort.
