Great Transformer
This transformer is great. I had the fence guys bury a cedar post 2 feet tall near an outlet in my backyard when they were installing a new post and it mounted perfectly. Before mounting I applied two coats of timber oil and went to home depot and purchased a copper cedar post cover and everything looks great. Also note I used 2.5 inch stainless steel deck screws to mount the box and prevent rust stains. Buy the Kichler timer which the manual timer and the Kichler photo lens accessory and you will not be disappointed. Buy quality the first time instead of buying cheap and installing several times with headaches. Note: make sure you use the Kichler Plastic Pro Connectors and make the investment into led brass kichler lights and purchase two electrical 3/4 inch PVC conduit pieces with threads to protect the wire and give a clean installation look.

This is a quality built outdoor transformer
This transformer powers my outdoor garden and path lighting. I have 18 path lights & 6 flood lights with plenty of reserve power.

Mine was defective. Does not provide any current. No returns after 30 days!
Beware. Test this product immediately upon receipt, and be prepared to return it immediately if it does not work. I bought this product for low voltage lighting I planned to put in my backyard. Due to construction delays, my patio and deck project was not completed on schedule, but about 6 weeks late. This is a pretty common occurrence as anyone who has done renovations knows. As soon as the construction was complete, i plugged this item in to test the connection. I spent a couple of hours re-reading every detail in the manual and verifying that no electricity was coming through the transformer. I then went to a local store and bought a transformer for 1/4 the price. I made the connections, plugged it in, and it worked immediately. As a sanity check I tried this product again. It did not provide power. When I requested to return it I got an email saying there were no returns after 30 days. I discussed it with Amazon customer service, and they put in an A-Z investigation, but was quickly notified they had denied my request. I lost over $200 on this product. It is my opinion the seller should stand behind the product and allow a defective product to be returned past a 30 day window.

Very satisfied with this product
Very well made. Quiet. I didn't think my old one was that loud, but this is silent. I use it with the photocell accessory (Kichler 15565BK Accessory) and it stays on whenever its dark. No fussing with correcting clocks, changing the time for the season - It just comes on when its dark and off when light. Super easy to install. No worries.

Great price. More than enough power for LED applications
Have had Kichler lights and transformers before. Prior to reasonably priced LEDs, I had the 600w units. Unnecessary now. Fantastic price. Ended up buying a second one.

Kohler 15PR300SS Series 300 Watt Low Voltage Transformer
Outstanding quality ! While far more costly than what you will find in a big box hardware store, when inspected, it is apparent "why". High quality components, stainless steel enclosure, circuit-like power connections. Easy to adapt with phot-cell and/or timer. Highly recommended !
