Don't let other reviews scare you!
So I was in the market for new porch lights because the ones installed on my porch were old and had issues. The trick was I needed 4 of the exact same, and hubby didn't want to spend much, and I wanted a coppery look to it. I came across these and they seemed perfect! Lower price so I could buy all four and coppery! But the reviews nearly scared me away... "screws are too small" "watch out replacing bulbs" stuff. I was hesitant but I ordered them with intent to send them back if I didn't like them or they didn't workout. They arrived and on hubby's next day off he had all 4 of them installed within the hour. It honestly took longer to take the old ones off than to install the new ones. I asked him about the screws and he looked at me like I had grown 4 heads or something. I explained the reviews and he laughed. He said "if someone can't hold a globe with one hand, and spin a screwdriver with the other, then no they shouldn't be buying these." Bottom line, don't be an idiot and install these in precarious super high spaces and think it'll be a breeze to replace bulbs. That is horrible logic. Put a floodlight there if it's so high up. These lights were made for things such as porches and carports and the like and work perfectly for what they were intended for.

Well built and pleasing to the eye

Attractive Entry Light
This light is “light years” ahead of the piece of junk my builder installed on our house when it was built. Sturdy glass and metal frame makes for a nice looking entry light. I had an electrician install it as I don’t work with electricity, but the directions looked simple enough that it could be installed by a handy homeowner easily. Only concern I have is when I need to change the light bulb. The outer casing of the light is held on by only two small screws and if I accidentally strip one of them putting them in, that could cause a problem in replacing the screw as the screw hole on the light would be stripped too and I might not be able to put the cover on again. Could be a problem. Wish they had thought about putting a better way to take the cover on and off to replace the light, which will happen from time to time. To help alleviate the severity of this potential problem, I purchased a new LED 10,000 hour light bulb, reducing the number of times I need to replace the bulb.

Love it
I had an old light fixture on my porch. After painting my house I wanted to change the hardware so I ordered this. The price was great and it's very sturdy and a good quality. It was easy to install and it looks very nice.

Heat shield material management problem
The heat shielding material between the light and the ceiling was very flimsy. I had to tape the edges of the heat shield material to the light fixture to hold it in place. Overall it’s a good fixture, looks nice, easy to install.

Love our new front porch light!
Very happy with this light! Our old one was likely original with our house which means it was almost 20 years old. Most of it was rusted and was filthy with dead bugs. After removing it, it was really quite simple to install this light! The only thing that was annoying was the rubber gasket seal that goes between the main electrical piece and the glass/cage piece; it wouldn’t stay put but I couldn’t get it installed by just placing it on the rim of the glass while I screwed in the holding screws. I just omitted it as I plan to take it off and clean it periodically anyways. Overall extremely happy though!

Yay! Finally a globe that fits Wyze Smart Bulbs
Bought these to replace the smaller globes I had hanging in my entryway because the existing globes weren't big enough to fit around the Wyze smart bulbs that I had in place. Bought these and got them easily installed with the easy to follow common sense directions and the Wyze Smart Bulbs fit beautifully under the larger globe!

Looks great, but it will raise your blood pressure
We bought this fixture in 2017 and had an electrician install it in our foyer. I'm coming back to review it, frankly, to vent some frustration. I give it two stars. On the one hand, it's beautiful - especially if you've got an old-ish house that wants a somewhat rustic look. The frosted glass and wrought-iron look of the skeleton structure are great. Unfortunately, it doesn't close shut with an A21 "standard" sized LED bulb in it, and barely will around an A19 "standard" replacement LED bulb, if you press the fixture in on it (the socket has some "play" in its wiring connection to the mount, so I hope I'm not harming it). Comfortably it takes an old style standard incandescent or a small-size CFL. I'm annoyed at these limitations, but they're not the biggest irritation. You'll be happy with the fixture - as long as you never have to change a light bulb. I cannot fathom how this model got past product testing. Each time I change a bulb I end up cursing the design engineers for an hour or so. I want to send them to some karmic hell where they spend all day changing bulbs in this thing. You see, unlike some fixtures I have long had in my house where the screws that attach the glass cover to the mount are "connected" to the cover (i.e., you loosen and tighten them, but they can't "fall out" completely), this ingenious design has two tiny LOOSE screws that you must somehow use to fasten the cover to the ceiling mount while holding the cover against the mount. Try to imagine tiny ~8 mm long screws, matte black in color to match the matte black of the fixture metal (adding to your fun of trying to see what you're doing). To easily change a lightbulb in this, you will need the following handyman: a six-foot tall two-year-old (so that he's tall enough to reach the ceiling on a step stool, but has suitably tiny fingers to grasp the little screws), with the dexterity of a watch repairman and the unshakeable patience of a Zen Master. Oh, and he will need to have three functional arms: one to hold the cover up against the ceiling mount, a second to position the microscopic screw against the tiny hole in the mount, and a third to turn the Phillips screwdriver to - if you can somehow align it straight with everything blending together in dull black metal - fasten it on. Making your circus act even more interesting is that the pitch in the screw threads seems so small that you feel like you're cross-threading the thing on the first seventeen tries. If you know of such an individual, and he or she makes house calls, please do give me their contact info for the next time I need to change the bulb. In the meantime, enjoy your beautiful fixture!
