Best retinol I tried. It indeed transformed my skin. It is potent something to keep in mind.
The media could not be loaded. This retinol is the best I tried in the market. It is potent as it’s 1.0. I have sensitive, acne prone skin. It helped to clear my acne and post acne pigmentation. The cream has no smell, not sticky or greasy. It is very hydrating. Have been using it 2 months and can see a big difference. It is strong for my skin so I have been using it 3 days a week so far. After trying it you do see a big difference that what you would expect from such medical grade skin care at such price. It’s totally worth the money.

Will peel your face
Well I was going to return this because one of the main ingredients was soybean oil, and the first time I used it on my oily large pore nose it made it worse. Being use to the effects of a 1% retinol cream I thought I’d give it 3 days so I used it morn and night for 3 days…. Pretty much lost the whole top layer of my skin on. The ol’ nose Decided it really does work, used it like you should in the rest of my face. Keeping it …..

Compared with cost of Retinol A …
I have been using this product since Retinol A increased in price - quite awhile ago. The cost was such a difference that I couldn’t justify the Rx over the OTC. The results are pretty much the same. I use the 1.0 every single night without any issues. Quite often I will simply pat an Origins’ night time cream on my face after the SkinMedica has dried. I do use approx 1½ pumps of this product. I can and do recommend this product. Oh, I originally got this from my dermatologist who was recommending it in place of the Rx Retinol because of the cost differential. I am seventy-five years old. Retinol A and SkinMedica have been in my life for over 25 years. There are no age spots or other signs of significant wrinkles on my face. My skin continues to be complimented due to its texture and lack of significant aging wrinkles.

The real deal
I've been using prescription Retin-A micro gel ($$$$$) for five years (I'm 61). Used exactly as dermatologist recommended. Results: My lower chin peeled and flaked maybe once a month. I don't know about you, but I don't have wrinkles on the tip of my chin. Finally I was done throwing good money after bad, and looked for an alternative. THIS IS IT. It cost 90 bucks and has done more for my fine lines and splotchy complexion than prescription Retin-A has EVER done. My forehead is peeling, my cheeks are peeling, and exfoliation reveals baby-soft skin. Final thought: I've had a raised, lumpish scar (dog bite) on my right cheek for six years. I've had it lasered, tried microneedling, and of course RA. No results. Using this stuff? It was gone--GONE--in three weeks. You can't even feel where it used to be. TL;DR: Amazing product, getcha some.

Excellent
I am 41 years old with quite a lot of hormonal discoloration and adult acne; I bought this product to help with the acne and hoped for the best with my other skin maladies. I've been using it for about four months now and it has helped a lot with the acne. After the initial month or so of very red and flaky skin, I I emerged with the smoothest, acne free skin I've had since my pre-pubescent years. I don't have any wrinkles (thanks Mom and Dad), so nothing to report there; I think it's too early to tell if it's helping with the discoloration. Some words of advice. 1. If you've never used a retinol product, ramp up. This same maker produces two lower strengths and they actually recommend ramping up. One reviewer mentioned that this product burns the skin; if you're not used to it and/or use it more often than directed, you will definitely get that effect. I put too much on my neck in the beginning and was sorry for about a week. 2. Use as directed, the directions are there for a reason. 3. If you can't take the redness and flaking, back off for a few days and then get back to it. It does get better. In the beginning, I could only do twice a week, but after about 45 days, I was up to the recommended use. 4. If you have a good MedSpa in the area, go in for a consultation and see what they think about using a retinol product--it isn't for everyone and it's good to get advice from an expert before jumping in with both feet. 5. Always wear sunscreen. I like Kiel's, it's light and it doesn't burn when you're in the red and flaky stage. Good luck!

Amazing product, but be careful, this is no joke
This is truly an amazing product. I have used prescription Retin-A products and a handful of others and this one has them all beat hands down. It is made by the same company that makes Botox, which for me means something. This transformed my skin in a matter of days. It was extremely astonishing. It must be their delivery system encapsulated with antioxidants. Whatever it is, this stuff works. However much like most of the other reviews on here, this stuff is no joke and is very strong. I can say I had less skin irritation overall with this product over any other similar product I have tried, including prescription products. However I still experienced some redness, extreme dryness, and very little peeling. Like most retinoids, this product will dehydrate your skin like a desert. I found myself layer on moisturizer several times a day and my skin just drank it like water when using this product. So although extremely effective, be prepared to add things to your routine which deeply moisturize your skin. Eventually I moved from daily use to every other day and that seemed to help a lot with the irritation in general and over drying. The over drying isn't a normal skin drying. It makes your skin sort of the text of a porcelain doll..and it looks like one also. So just imagine having to apply moisturizer to a porcelain doll and you can see how this sort of changes your skin and demands constant nourishment. I added a moisturizing face mask, which also made a huge difference although I do not do that regularly.
