Sturdy and Durable but problem with quality control

I received the umbrella my first impression was that it was well built and uses a thicker canopy than other umbrellas I've used but the item arrived with the stitches on the velcro part where you close the umbrella was coming apart so there might be an issue with quality control but I'm awaiting a replacement now and will revise my review once I get the replacement to see if this problem persist. 9/16/22 I have received the replacement and it didn't have the problem when it comes to stitching on the velco coming off. Like I said earlier the umbrella is built sturdy and is made of durable materials but they should have had a better quality control to make sure that products that are damaged or defective should not reach the customer because it can be quite inconvenient. I will still try to update the review to see how the umbrella holds up in the long term,

A solid personal mobility umbrella

I live FL where afternoon showers are rampant during the summer months. If one does not have an umbrella shopping/working/etc/ they either A) get wet and share all that wonderful BO with the world in that nice humid weather or B) they send their poor Spouse/SO/village idiot to go get the car, or C) They wait it out. I have no patience for any such conditions. Therefore I bought this umbrella. Mobility and profile were key in my decision, and so far this has been great for preventing wet dog syndrome and protecting paper goods whilst shopping. My only gripe is the construction which is in all honesty fine for lightweight usage. Just don't expect it to last a lifetime. I've been using this product lightly for about 3 months. I've brought it the beach, in town, and around the house. PROS: -Small profile, about a foot long and 2 inches in diameter, so goes about anywhere. Will fit in any backpack or moderate sized purse. -Fairly lightweight -Opens easily and forcefully. Locking/Opening mechanism has had no issues. -Has wrist strap, useful for me because I'm like a toddler and will set things down and leave them. -Comes in black CONS -Construction consists of your standard nylon canvas for repelling water and thin metal wiring. For umbrellas of this build, I find it acceptable since we have to sacrifice durability or price for size, but I definitely don't believe this will hold up against windy storms without turning inside out or possibly bending something. We'll see. -Definitely only made to cover one person so if you want coverage for two you'll have to get intimate.

Durable and dependable. If only it came with a GPS chip so I can't lose them!

Highly portable, also quite durable and dependable. I used to buy them at the local drugstore, but they stopped carrying them. Their loss, Amazon's gain. I've never had to repair or adjust one in the first two years of use - the only time was to stitch one corner back to the end of a rib. I've also never had one invert, which is usually what kills umbrellas.

It's tiny

This umbrella is tiny. An adult using this will still get rained on.

Cost more than suggested MSRP tag

Product seems fine, but I was perturbed that the price I paid was above the MSRP written on the product tag.

Totes Cool!

Totes is always dependable. If you want an umbrella that won't break after a few uses this is the one to buy. Didn't realize that it was bigger so it was a nice surprise to find out this works for a Teen or a large male. Held up well in downpours and also wind.

Nice size! Easy to open! But one of the tips continues to unhook.

Easy to open and fairly easy to close. On durability, I think it will wear well. However, when I opened it for the second time, one of the tips was unhooked. I frequently have to rehook the same tip when opening. Not great when it is raining! Then you just have to let it dangle and wait for a better place to fix it. A new umbrella should not do this. But for the price, it is not worth sending it back, and it can be used. I do like the size and how it fits in the door of my car.

Sturdy but not light

I adore the button press on the handle. It is a strong umbrella but it’s def not as light or as small as I had hoped. Would I recommend the product? Yes, definitely, but be aware of length and weight.

Great!

I was a little shocked by umbrella prices previous to purchasing this, but I am glad that I spent the money. The umbrella feels very sturdy and it has held through some crazy winds! I am highly impressed. It's wonderfully compact and fit into my bag so I am able to have it with me at all times. More colours would be nice.

Produto bom, mas caro.

Gostei da maneira como ele abre. Não dá aquele impacto forte no final do curso como a maioria dos guarda-chuvas. O acabamento poderia ser melhorado. A gente tem que ficar cortando restos de linha que vieram de fábrica.

Broken first time it was opened

The metal bands that run along the inside of the umbrella look very cheap. One was broken the first time the umbrella opened. Hard to tell if it shipped broken or if it broke and the metal bent on the very first time it was opened. Low quality junk.

Buen material

Me gustan los paragüas de Totes, sin embargo no se especifica que este paragüas solo abre con el botón, no cierra con el botón como otros de esta marca. Considero que es resistente a las lluvias de la Ciudad de México, pero no es tamaño compacto, no cabe en cualquier bolsa de mujer.
