Like the "REHEAT" feature for warming plates
The media could not be loaded. After researching for the most part the reviews were good, I liked the styling of the toaster, and was intrigued with the "REHEAT" feature. After using the toaster for a couple of months, it does well making toast and does a good job on even heating. I've used the "DEFROST" feature taking a frozen piece of bread with a setting at 2 1/2 and it does a good job for my preference. I also like to warm my plates from time to time and the "REHEAT" feature has been great for that. Placing them on top of the toaster the plate heats up nicely and it doesn't matter if I forget I was warming them as I did with the previous toaster without that feature, and they would get too hot. Unfortunately, most toasters cleaning trays are on the back of the toaster now. I preferred when they were on the front, and you could easily slide them out without having to pull the toaster away from the wall and flip it around to get to them. Using the buttons for "REHEAT" and "DEFROST", etc. seem counter intuitive. I would prefer to select the button I want and then push the lever down to toast, but you push the lever down and then press the button.

I had one before. I liked so much that I had to replace it for a new one !!

Great toaster for commercial bread
Does a wonderful job of making consistent, evenly-toasted slices of bread, thick or thin, all kinds. The settings are easy to figure out, and I like them better than the over-fancy electronic kind. Both sides toast the same way at the same settings. I knocked off one star because this is NOT a good toaster for those who, like me, are baking their own gluten-free bread. Sometimes while experimenting with new recipes you get a loaf that's crumbly - a common problem with gluten-free recipes. DO NOT ever put any kind of bread in this toaster that is not firmly held together! The slide-out crumb tray is great for tiny bits of crumb, but useless for chunks of bread. Those get stuck beneath the bread-holding platform, and it's time to cool down the machine, get out a knife and maybe some long-nosed needle-nose pliers, and try not to rip out the heating coils while you dig away. A 1/8-inch crumb is too large to fit out through the hole, even if you remove the tray! You have to let gravity help; turn the machine on it's side and tilt it up, then fish with knife and pliers until you can carefully slide out the chunks. To me, this is a design flaw; it would be a simple matter to widen the tray slot and deepen the tray, so that larger chunks of bread could fall through and be removed. While I do still love - and recommend! - the toaster, it's conditional on the use of firm, well-formed slices of bread. Because of my requirements, I am seriously disappointed with this design decision. It's an awfully petty way to save an inch of height, whether the choice was driven by aesthetics or economics.

Better toasters I have not yet had!
This unit looks good and works good. It is easy to adjust the toasting level and is fast in toasting. We replaced a competitors unit that failed after about 12 years... hopefully this one will last at least that long.

Good toaster
Toaster functions as it should. Could be a little wider in the slots

Spend a few bucks extra and get a quality toaster
OK, this might sound weird, but I love toast. And when I make it for myself, my husband wants some too. We had a relatively new toaster oven that took about 5 minutes to toast a piece of bread. It mostly just dried out the bread so you were eating hot stale bread with melted butter. To replace it, I tried buying a cheaper, but highly rated, toaster from Amazon. Only one side worked. Returned. Tried another, one and the left hand lever would not stay down. Finally, I bit the bullet and went for the Cuisinart. A tad more expensive, but so worth it. It works perfectly, exactly as a toaster should. I am writing this after 6 months of daily use and it still works great. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Toaster is a good product to have---toast is much better now---than our old Toaster
I do not have any problems with our new toaster, easy to clean .

Looks good on my kitchen counter
This toaster is well-made, attractive, and functional. The only thing is that I don't toast four pieces of bread at a time as much as I thought I would. LOL.

Toasty Perfection
After years of trying to keep a toaster oven clean (with teenagers as primary operators), I cut my losses and bought this toaster. I love it. It makes great toast. Sounds simple, but like a good martini--it's all in the details. This toaster makes it easy to make perfect toast. Any type or thickness of bread comes toasts to perfection. For example, by pressing "defrost" and "bagel" it'll take a bagel from frozen to toasty--no microwave or preplanning required.

Works great
So far so good. Used it a few times now and it works really fast, at least compare to my old one. The first time I used it there was a strong plastic smell but was gone after the first use. I haven’t used all 4 slots at the same time yet but I am happy with the 2 I have used.

I'm very happy with my toaster so far.
I only have it set on 3.5 and it toast great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a four slicer.

Good overall, a bit pricey for what it is
The Cuisinart CPT-340 is simple 4 slice toaster with clean lines but still some nooks and crannies that will be hard to clean as it ages... It looks nice and toasts well but probably not worth 80$. The only real negative is that it doesn’t have a ‘real’ bagel setting. The bagel setting on this toaster just adds extra toasting time but all sides get toasted which in my opinion defeats the purpose of toasting a bagel! When I toast a bagel I don’t want to burn the outside (sesame/poppy seed side) I want to toast only the inside of the bagel! I find this very odd since even cheap toasters have a bagel feature that turns off the outside burners while allowing the inside ones to keep toasting… A bit misleading on the part of Cuisinart…

Works fine
This seems to be a good toaster but the dial faces spin around so you never know what the setting is, so you have to guess if it should be set higher or lower.
