Completely worth the price! Pros&Cons

This product works amazingly for the half inch irrigation line. Lowe’s and Home Depot did not carry anything similar to this in my area, the only thing they offered were landscaping pens which were much too short for the type of soil I have. Fortunately I came across these as I was browsing Amazon and decided to give them a try. They are long enough to be sturdy in any type of soil and fit perfectly around the half inch irrigation line. Another great attribute is the fact that these are black, so they match perfectly to the irrigation line, if you happen to have the black colored one. The only downfall I would say, is fact that it easily breaks. You must be careful when pushing them into the ground or using a hammer to help get them in the soil. I was very lucky to only have one break on me, however even though it broke the top it was still able to hold down the line with the small piece that was left behind! These are worth the price and my line doesn’t move!

Be careful when hammering into ground!

These work well for holding down Toro 1/2" drip line. They go into garden soil very easily, however they are extremely difficult to push into my regular soil by hand. They are much easier to put in with a 16 oz rubber mallet. Tap, tap tap, and in they go. Do not use a 4 lb sledge hammer like I tried first… it snapped the head off, despite gentle tapping on my part. But the rubber mallet works great! You really don't need a lot of these unless you are making lots of curves with your drip line -- I used 30 for about 150 ft of drip line in my vegetable garden (see attached photos).

A bit steep for a ten pieces of plastic but otherwise work just fine. I've tried skimping on staking down the hose but regretted it. One stray hoe or rake stroke and there it is, risen from the dead.

Drip Lines secure

Excellent quality and does the job I wanted to hold down drip lines - much better than metal fabric holders or the smaller product given for the drip line suppliers.

Worst product ever!

Worse product made. I bought two packs of these tir down stairs. I wad in the impression that this product would hold the hose up off the ground a bit. I was wrong. It days half inch fitting. The stakes measure 3/4".

Better than metal staples for holding down hoses.

Does not work well n raised beds.

Because soil is not compacted in raised beds, these stakes are useless. They do not hold the tubing in place. They also do not grip the tubing so if the stake moves, the tubing will be flopping all over. Poor design. There are better ones out there.
